The oldest, highest quality, best and best known university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was founded in 1949 and during his aggression he did not interrupt his work. Before the aggression, the University of Sarajevo was known and recognized in the territory of Yugoslavia. Some of his faculties were in the ranks of Zagreb and Belgrade. Today it is on its way to reach that level despite material and "personnel" destruction at the beginning of '90. years. Today there are about 50 thousand students.
