Went in for the legends of Horror with my husband and best friend. The boyfriend from the couple in front of us got so scared at a jump scare that he punched the actor in the face. They both started yelling at each other and security had to escort him out. The other actors really stopped trying after that and I agree with the other review, everyone is too close to each other to expect anything when you see whatevers going to happen to you happen to the person infront of you..what a waste of money.

An absolute gem and a must to visit in Toronto. Don't forget to watch the documentry before exploring as it gives you the history behind the building and connects you to it. Also don't miss the underground tunnels and the beautiful view on the roof.

One to avoid. Of all the tourist attractors Toronto has to offer, I would give this a miss. It s overpriced, the audio guides are old and poorly narrated, there are decaying exhibits that makes you wonder why you paid an entire $30. Save your time and money and instead go to the CN tower for spectacular views, the ROM and AGO for culture and art and the bata shoe museum for something quirky.

Casa Loma certainly stands out, a small Castle in Toronto. The building and grounds are well maintained, the gardens are lovely and the view of Toronto is spectacular, day and night. My last visit there was for a private function and it was a great place and layout with lots of space for a large party. I can imagine it being a very nice location for a wedding. It is located away from the city core, restaurants and other things to do/see and access by public transit isn't great either. It's worth a visit although it's not a place I would go to regularly unless I had out of town visitors or kids, in terms of going to it as a museum.

Very interesting place, excellent for photos with different sceneries, indoor and outdoor. A lot of history and architecture too. The upper floors aren't for every crowd because of the narrow corridors and the circular old stairs, but the landscape view is amazing.
We went with my three years old son and we discovered the place isn't very kids-friendly.

Amazing place and history, the audio guide helps a lot and is worth using. Several places worthy of photo, including when climbing the towers. When I went I was having a wedding, but the visitation was not limited by that. The prices of the souvenir shop are very high. I recommend visiting also the Mussum spadina, which is very close (pay attention to the guide schedules)

i was there as a 9 or 10 year old in the late 70s and again this past week with my kids. if you've been on similar tours in europe or south america, it's nowhere near as interesting, and not just because the place is not yet a century old. for the most part, you'll simply witness how the local outrageously wealthy lived in their day. links to local history are few and barely underscored, although the tunnel photo exhibit offers some rather interesting (but unrelated) insights into toronto history. why hide it in a tunnel though? ppl just walk right by!.

Pleasantly surprised. Went with a group of teenagers from China and there was an audioguide available for them to help explain what they were seeing in each room, tower, stables, and garage. Only spent an hour there, but can spend more time if you're interested in history. Those without the audioguide were finished quickly.

An amazing looking building, accompanied by an amazing story. Apparently 98 rooms, and 3 secret passages (one of which has never been found), but many of the rooms seem to be given over to administration or storage and so not open to view. The information presented on-site doesn't give a significant impression of ostentatiousness, but to build a personal home of such proportions, and needing around 40 staff to run, nonetheless feels way over the top. One is left to wonder how amazing the views from the building would have been before the skyline became so characterised by skyscrapers, and what the inside may have looked like before it was left to decay.

The Legends of Horror was very well crafted in terms of set design, but it was not as scary as I had hoped because there weren't enough live actors. I expected to be scared around every corner but felt disappointed to just see mechanical monsters.

Overpriced but neat. The audio tour was surprisingly good and the staff very nice. This is a cool building with a lot of history and it totally worth checking out of you are visiting Toronto or passing through.

I participated in Legend of horror. Absolutely loved the horror walk! First half was so well done that it gave the chills and screams multiple times (and I do not find myself to be easy to scare). At midpoint you can watch trailers to upcoming movie Justice League and order drinks. Sadly second half was not that good as the first one but it did not really matter because I was still recovering from previous horrors that we have seen. It took 40 minutes to finish the whole walk plus 10 minutes watching trailers. Overall I highly recommend! Worth every dollar.

Was not on our priority list for Toronto but so happy we came. Now here's a palace/ castle I would not mind living in. More than 20 big movies were shot here. Loved the lack of symmetry, secret passageways, corridors, fabulous stately rooms and cosy bedrooms. Not a castle of a king but of simply an outrageously rich 20th century man. It really has it's own soul.

My husband and I have traveled throughout Europe and South America and had no idea that such a beautiful castle was right next door. We visited today with no expectations but were pleasantly surprised to learn about an incredible entrepreneur who had the first electric car and envisioned harnessing hydro electric power by
using the power of the water over
Niagara Falls. His wife was the first Commissioner for Guides in Canada and during her time, increased the number of Guides from 250 to over17, 000. What a power couple!!!!
The audio tours were informative and very user friendly. You could listen to as much or as little as you liked.
The Castle itself was a testament to the imagination of Sir Henry Pellatt. The furnishings were beautiful. The rooms majestic! The wine cellar to die for! A surprise around every corner. There is even an 800 foot tunnel under the road leading to his original house which is called the Hunting Lodge and includes stables and a garage. Even the servants were well looked after.
We plan to return for a visit in the summer to enjoy the outside and the beautiful gardens.

I really enjoyed visiting Casa Loma. I was amazed with the outside and inside . The room design. My favorite was the pink room with the pink couch. The hidden garden was a little paradise jungle. Be prepared to go up and down lots of stairs. Overall it was worth it.

Great place to visit. Lots to see. Love the whole castle infrastructure as well as the gardens and outside terraces. They did a good job of keeping the history without making it too touristy. Access to lots of areas and a nice little video to introduce Henry and mary
Excellent handheld commentary device and I like that they were cleaned after someone used them.

Great place to visit. Definitely historically significant to Ontario. Make sure to do the secret tunnel to the stables. Beautiful architecture. The movie was a little too long. Most expensive parking we came across in Toronto.

An impressive place that receives millions of people every year. In autumn it is the best time to visit it, good weather and it is not crowded. The best that the explanation you can receive it in your native language, that you do need at least 2 hours to visit the most important places, if you are going to do the complete tour it will be 4 to 6 hours.

A great piece of Canada / Ontario / Toronto History. It is nice to go around Christmas as it is decorated inside and you can see Santa and court is decorated with amazing lights. But I don't think outside of the garage is open. In the summer you get to see outside of the garage which you realize how huge and amazing this place really is. We didn't know that until we were walking by this past summer.
