Joe Hernandez of Carr Subaru helped us buy our first Subaru in January 2018. We knew we wanted an outback and we had a trade in. Joe found us the perfect outback out of his inventory with a price we could live with. After the sale Joe followed up with the service appointment we asked for to get new tires. Great experience thanks Joe.

Second Review: we decided to buy another Subaru. Joshua Zuniga was our salesman and he was able to get us within an acceptable price range for the B9 Tribeca we wanted. Joshua was professional and followed up with scheduling out service appointment to install the accessories we purchased. Great place thanks Joshua.

He was so helpful over the phone, got all the paperwork ready for me to sign when I got there and gave me a great orientation on what my new car could do. It was by far the easiest car purchase I've ever experienced. If you are looking to buy a car ask for Polo!

Wonderful experience with Carr Subaru! I worked with Tyra, and she was really professional, trustworthy, and helpful through the car buying process. I never felt pressured by anyone at Carr and the entire customer experience was fantastic. Tyra was prompt with emails, honest with the cost of items, and trustworthy. I shopped around at a few Subaru dealerships and the customer service from Carr was far superior. I love my used Subaru and am so happy I worked with Carr! Thank you Tyra, you're wonderful!

Dropped by for a test drive and met Big D. She is awesome. You should ask for her if you visit the dealership. Super easy, not pushy at all. Ended up coming back the following day to make a purchase. Big D is super helpful and willing to get any and all info for you that you ask for.

My overall experience with the Carr auto group was very positive. No one tried to "sell" us on anything, which is always a big plus when making a large purchase like a new car. We bought a Subaru, so not sure WHEN, but we will be coming here again for our vehicle needs in the future.

I had the best experience leasing a Crosstrek at CARR Subaru, Canyon Blvd in Beaverton. Sam in sales was patient, kind, knowledgeable and great to work with. Fernando in finance, guided me in making the best choice that suited my lifestyle and pocketbook. Overall, they rock!! I highly recommend getting your next car there. Those guys at CARR will take good care of you and they have very good insurance options too. I love how my new Crosstrek drives and all the safety features.

He told us I got you and showed us the Subaru I was looking for. I told him exactly what I wanted and he took me right to the one I wanted, even the exact color. My daughter & family purchased a car here and have had nothing but recalls. Finally traded it in for another care which looked ok but not super clean. They were from an hour away. They went back THREE times each solely for purpose of having the care detailed as it should have been before put on lot for sale and each time they had excuses why they "never got to it." ONe of those times their child had surgery and car was there over 8 hrs and they still "didn't get to it." Said if they wanted to wait another hour, they would "try" to do it. All while a child is in the car after medical procedure waiting to return home. Owners review response stated, Sales Mgr was making it right. Sales Mgrs solution was leaving a VOICEMAIL to have them return a FORTH time (2hr drive out of their way) when all Beaverton Subaru had to do was arrange the detailing in the city they live in. Still waiting for that to happen. Poorest customer service ever.

I have had two great experiences here. Maybe you, like me, have the assumption dealerships are going to cost more or take advantage of you. Not so in my experience here so far. They are timely and clearly know Subaru's well!

Insider tip for everyone with a Subaru headlight that is always out: come here, ask them to install the warrantied bulb ($35 total) and come back anytime for a YEAR if it goes out! This is a known issue, with their wiring system, so stop wasting money!

We had actually gone for a test drive a few weeks before, and Mitch was super helpful in letting us know what our options were while being low-pressure. We weren't originally planning to buy just yet, and appreciated that we didn't get hounded during our test drive or afterwards. About a week or 2 later, we changed our timeline for purchase. Again, Mitch was great and negotiated a dealer trade so we could have the color/model we wanted.

Carr Subaru service ROCKS! They are the best at what they do which is why they rank 1st or 2nd in the country. I work with Randy who is fabulous. He's always looking out for me and there aren't words for how much I appreciate that. Really though, any of the service guys are so friendly and helpful, you can't go wrong! The cashiers are also wonderful (thank you Tara for all your help). They strive for excellence by elevating the customer experience and they achieve it time and again.

Update: after receiving follow text from Carr for the service and hearing me concerns. I appreciate the prompt response from the Service Manager and the service rep (Brandon) quickly addressing the issue. I truly appreciate both trying to correct the issue. Hence I'm updating this review with the issue still listed.

Issue: i took my car in for 60K service. They were very chatty before they take your money. After spending $1300 for service, when I arrived to get my car, the rep basically told me just go to the cashier to pay. Didn't even take the time to go over what was done part of the 60K service and what was actually done. Also you would think after a customer spent that much, they would have the vehicle washed as well. I came home to find out they took out my perfectly new(I put a new one 2 weeks before) air cabin filter and replaced with a cheap paper one. Oh and they charges also $60 for it (get yourself a way better one off amazon for $16 and take 10 mins of your time to replace). You would think they educate their mechanic to differentiate a new filter versus an old dirty one.

Not to mention a voicemail left for the service manager, and NEVER receive a call back.

I am the proud new owner of a 2014 Subaru Impreza. I worked with Nolan to get it, and I definitely recommend him. He quickly came out when he saw my boyfriend and I walking around, answered all our questions, and very politely handled my boyfriend when he was posturing and trying to get a better deal. He also advised us to do things like sit down with a maintenance guy to go over recommended maintenance and sent me off with a full tank of gas. Nolan and his managers made our car buying experience less intimidating than I thought it would be.

My experience with Carr Subaru has been HORRIBLE! I ve recently purchased a 2012 Toyota 4runner on the 12/22/14. I was a little hesitant and nearly walked out of the sale because the sales manager Miguel refuse to fill the tank of gas. I explained to Miguel that I drove 4 hours from Washington state to make the purchase yet he refused to fill the tank! (Selling a car with an empty tank of gas is like selling a dirty car, just poor business practice!) The sales person with whom I was working with Polo then contacted another more reasonable sales manager Manny who agreed to fill the tank of gas. Little did I know that, getting the tank of gas was just the beginning of my problems with Carr Subaru.
After nearly two weeks of the purchase date, I get a phone call from Jeff (financial rep.) who tells me that he messed up my loan paperwork. Jeff not only failed to contact me sooner, he also failed to contact my bank to get a resolution! Now my temporary registration is expired, and I m going to be making payments on a car I cannot drive. Furthermore, I will have to pay out of pocket, for a rent a car due to this clerical error. I have never encountered such a poorly operated organization. It seems as though customers of Carr Subaru pay the consequences of their employees mistakes.
Carr Subaru may be great at selling brand new Subaru, however, I will caution anyone on purchasing a used car from them, especially if you live far or even out of state like myself. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way, and this mistake will cost me a few hundred dollars. I am still in the process of getting some compensation, this whole ordeal has been a nightmare. I am keen to making a more positive review if I am granted some compensation. Please folks do not make the same mistake as myself, shop around for a more trusted dealership.

Bought my very own car from here, absolutely great service & wonderful car salesman, Eric Monroy. Eric is one of the best car salesmen I have ever dealt with! He is very helpful and always so polite and hard working. When I asked him if he could deliver the brand new Ascent to the house in Battle Ground (1 1/2 hrs away) he said yes without hesitation! Honestly I had a great experience at Carr Subaru, and it was a pleasure to work with such a wonderful sales person -- more of a friend than your typical salesman. Thank you Eric and thank you to the entire Carr Subaru team. I will definitely be sending my friends and family to purchase their vehicles at CARR Subaru :)

He is professional, friendly, and responsive. I had visited and talked to other Subaru salesman at other dealers in the Portland area and they just did not measure up. Diego gave us the best price and the best service, without being pushy or sales-y. He is a true car professional. You are making a mistake if you go anywhere else!

When looking for my latest car, I was in communication with Subarus all along the west coast and happened to visit Carr by searching for a very specific used car and seeing that they had one in stock. I worked with Jessica and Blake (Josh Blake).

In any sort of sales situation, you have to take everything with a grain of salt and remember that at the end of the day, they're wanting you to make the purchase, so I tried to bear that in mind and not get caught up in any sort of rush.

Jessica and Blake both were patient with my inquiries and decision-making and honestly offered me an incredible price for my new car. I believe that they were transparent with all the information they offered and I appreciate that they really worked with me, for example offering 4 different variations of warranties to figure out which best fit for me. I recommend at least going by and seeing what they have going on over there!

I was impressed by the lifetime drivetrain warranty that they offer on their used vehicles! Jessica had only recently begun working at Carr when we met, and she was great! She's very personable and engaging and I trusted her more because she was transparent about what she did and didn't yet know, and would always ask a peer if I asked a question, the answer to which she hadn't quite learned about yet.

The reason I'm giving 4/5 is due to the state in which I was handed off the car. The outside was splattered with some odd substance that I scrubbed off, the cupholders were lined with a sticky substance that I asked to be cleaned out, and there were potato chips on the ground in the back seat. (The ceiling has stains, but I'm considering that a quality of buying used.) Perhaps it's not common practice to present used cars cleaned at all, but when I had just spent tens of thousands of dollars on a 3-year-old used car, it would've felt better to receive it cleaned. Especially so in this time of covid. If I might recommend even detailing used cars, that would be nice!

I think Carr has a great team! Good luck on your car situation!

We had the best time looking for cars with Alejandro he was helpful and courteous in all ways. The closer doing our paper work for closing was great too. The only thing that bothered me was, we were there to long, I was starved it would've been nice to be offered liunch or Dinner or a gift card to go out for food. I know he doesn't have the power to offer it because of his financial things he needs to deal with first. But the Company may have offered a gift card for the time spent waiting on. Paper work to complete.

Every time I've come in to service my 2005 Subaru ...

Every time I've come in to service my 2005 Subaru Forester, everyone I've encountered has been demeaning and unprofessional. When I took it in for basic maintenance a few weeks ago, I was told it would be a quick check up: I waited for 3 HOURS and finally went to talk to the man at the main desk who jumped a little when he saw me and told me my car was ready to go (he had totally forgotten about me).

I mentioned that my car had been dying regularly every few months for the past year, and that I'd had it checked out by other mechanics who had said the battery was fine but they couldn't find anything wrong with it, and the Subaru dealership mechanics completely dismissed what I told them about the history of my car saying that it was probably that I'd left the radio on or left the dome light on (I'm not stupid) and that this shouldn't be happening and BOOM my car is dead in the driveway.

Definitely never going back there. Waste of time and money. Completely unprofessional service, didn't tell me any details about my car or what they had looked at that led them to believe that it was fine, so I don't even have any leads for the next mechanic I take it to. Super demeaning, patronizing, did not feel safe or heard.

Update: I've called several mechanics who have all said that signs point to the alternator needing to be replaced (the Subaru dealership mechanic I talked to said it could have been anything, gave me no specific information about what it could have been) and the other mechanics even gave me a quote on the phone for how much that would cost.

Go anywhere but here!

Always a pleasure to work with the service Advisors there. Been to a few other local dealers and do not get the kind of service Carr provides. Thank you!

We wanted to buy Outback 2018 Limited with Eyesigh...

We wanted to buy Outback 2018 Limited with Eyesight pkg. Two main reasons for deciding on this car was 1) It has TPS+ rating from IIHS, which is important because we are new parents of a 10 week old. 2) 0% APR for 63 months finance from Subaru. We test drove two different cars and got the price from the sales person who was nice and not pushy and accommodated my request for test driving two cars. Once we got the initial quote we left home and next negotiations happened over the text messages and finally we were set on the car price and scheduled to buy the car on Dec 23rd. We were very excited to buy this car for our family for Christmas. Unfortunately Subaru can't offer me 0% APR for 63 months (Even with 832 credit score) because my work visa will need to be renewed in 22 months (They did provide the alternate option with firsttech for 60 months but not @0% APR). This is new to us because we have a house and i have 15year mortgage on it, i refinanced it 3 times already and never got this kind of concern from any lender. I tried to explain that the VISA will be renewed by the employer on time. The sales person and the finance person went back inside and called someone from Subaru because they previously made some exception for somebody in similar situation, but they came out and said sorry they can't do it for us. We felt like we were insulted and our time was wasted because we spent a lot of time on researching to buy a safe vehicle for our family that fits our budget. So, we came back home and thought more about it (this time less emotionally) and we understood the lender's concern, if i was the lender and don't have a knowledge of how the work visa works i would have done the same thing. So i contacted the sales person again and asked for reducing the price to compensate for some of the interest i will be paying if i went with other lender. Unfortunately they can't do that either, So i am back to square one on my family vehicle shopping. I do not write reviews but i just want to post our experience here so maybe the owner will read it and understand that they are surrounded by hi-tech companies and those companies will have a lot of employees with work visas. If the dealer's/manufacturers promotional offers are not for these people, they should at least know that before you run their credit. Other reason i want to post this is review is to give a heads up to people with work visa. I am sure this dealership deserves the high rating the other people gave, but we were really looking forward to get our new vehicle for Christmas, instead we met with this disappointment. We will shop around in other local Subaru dealers in hope to get our new vehicle at least by new years.

Update (12/26/2017): today We got same car at Royal moore Subaru for same price @ 0% APR for 63 months. Not sure what the problem was with CARR. I guess the employees at Royal moore are more knowledgable and has better understanding of how the work visa works. They do go extra mile to meet the customer needs.

Antonio was the friendliest car salesman I have ever met! I recently purchased my 2019 Forester from him. He made me feel comfortable from first contact to driving off in my new car. I had my eyes set on a Crosstrek before walking in but after answering some of his questions I knew the Forester was for me. Dupre in financing was great as well. There was some brief waiting times but the employees on the sales floor made sure to ask if we were being helped without making us feel like we were sitting idle for a long time. Overall, I was impressed by the staff at Care Subaru and their willingness to set me up with a vehicle that met my needs. Gracias por todo Antonio! I love my Forester!!

This is my 2nd Purchase from Carr Subaru within the last 7 months!

Jesse Medley, helped me this time around.
He was able to help me get into a 2021 Ascent Touring. He understood what I wanted, needed and valued my time. We kept in touch for a few weeks before I made the purchase. There was no pressure, just great service. He helped me prepare the paper work ahead of time so that signing was a breeze. He even came in during his day off to help me out!

I ve been a Subaru Loyalist for 6 years now. This was my 5th one. I purchased my first three at a competing Subaru dealer, and I m proud to say both my current cars have now been purchased at Carr Subaru. #teamecarr.

A car dealership first!

I've been to all sorts of dealers over the years from BMW, Rolls, Audi to Chevy, Kia, etc. I'd have to say this was the first time that no salesperson appeared to help me. They usually grab you in the lot at the lower end dealers or great you at the door at the higher end price points. Here - nothing, like they weren't even in business. I left, never to return as I am sure I can find someone else to take my money.

I have been to this dealership 3 times in the past...

I have been to this dealership 3 times in the past 6 or 7 years while shopping for a new vehicle and I have always left with a sour taste in my mouth and without a new vehicle in my driveway. Every time I went in, they always wanted to talk payments, not purchase price, and will push back more than any other dealers I've been to in the area. They will bring in supposed managers who are even worse than the sales staff, and push HARD to make sales, despite their "salaried sales people". I have to be very forceful in my language and on guard whenever I went shopping here, much more so than with any other dealership I have been to in the area. Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, thrice is a habit. I bet your dream Subaru is made and sold by the hundreds in the Portland Metro Area and there are other Subaru Dealers in the area. Don't bother with this one.

I have been on a search and I thought to come here if I wanted to check out a varietal inventory. In addition, I was looking into a used Suburu Outback but was not intending on purchasing at the time because I needed my dad to make the final decision. However, all of my dreams became a reality the moment I met Milo Flores. Milo made my first car purchase an absolute breeze with his professionalism, knowledge, dedication, and friendliness! I purchased a vehicle here about two months ago, and am now developing problems with the car. I knowingly purchased "as-is," since the warranty was outrageously priced on a nine year old car, however the car appeared to be in great condition at the time I purchased it. I was kind of feeling hurried in buying a car because I was going to start school soon and my older car had died on me, leaving me with no choice but to go looking. I had my heart set on one car. The car was way overpriced, and after one offer that was 2k less than Carr's asking price, the salesman came back in less than five minutes accepting our offer. I ended up paying more than 1500 over KBB value. The salesman was great though! He was very friendly and helpful, although he lacked knowledge on the car. My father and I had been reassured that the car was in awesome condition and that the mechanic who looked at foreign cars there had said it was good to go - only needed it's windshield wipers replaced. However, I was never able to get my hands on that service report and wasn't even offered it at the time we purchased the vehicle. The finance department was absolutely HORRIBLE, having me make repeated trips to my credit union to get the loan straightened out because they didn't do it correctly the first time. They ended up putting the loan under my brothers name because "that was how the credit union likes it," which is an absolute lie. Then they screwed up my registration papers, and argued that they couldn't do things this way or that way. Terrible service with finance. After that, a couple of weeks went by, and I had noticed a slight vibrating noise coming from the car at an idle while in drive. Now, the noise is so unbearably loud that I will be taking it in tomorrow for servicing, after my car wouldn't start this morning leaving me at a loss on how to get to work. Apparently the battery is in great condition, so something else is the culprit (alternator maybe?). My car is also telling me it's time for routine maintenance, which I believe they had shut the light off, and now the alarm system is requiring service as well. All of a sudden the car seems to be falling apart. I think that they had done some things to it before selling it so that they could pass it off to someone unknowingly. Can't wait to see what the repair bill will look like. I would never recommend any of my friends or family to go through Carr.

I got a 2018 Subaru Impreza Hatchback (manual).
Mauricio was my salesman and he did a great job answering all of my random questions. I told him exactly what I was looking for in every category (2018, manual, hatchback, simple and affordable), didn't know that that was actually hard to come by nowadays.
He was patient (which was a plus because I'm very stubborn) and he was very thorough with what the car had to offer!
Highly recommend him and the dealership, they're all so great and it's definitely one that I feel comfortable and not pressured.

10/6/19 We came to Carr Subaru to find our new car. We were met by Milo Flores, Sales Associate.
Milo was incredible to work with from the start of our visit right to the signing of our papers for our dream car! He was patient, kind and very knowledgeable of all things Subaru! We even came home with a "Chewbaru" toy for our dog. We will definitely do business with him again when we need another car. Finance Manager Becky Clausen was also wonderful to work with and really was honest and knows her stuff.

I was looking for a 2015 Outback v6 model and needed it quickly so I immediately contacted the Internet Sales Dept. for the Subaru dealers in the Portland area. The responses from the dealers varied but I ultimately landed on Carr Subaru due to the quick action and detailed response from Diego Mesa on the Carr team. Diego was GREAT to deal with on my new purchase- he was able to look at his inventory of vehicles as well as the incoming vehicles in the Pac NW dealer pipeline to try and source my requested vehicle. He also responded to my initial request and follow-up questions with very detailed information regarding cost, etc. The emailed responses I received from the Internet sales associates from the other dealers paled in comparison to the response from Diego. I truly felt he was genuinely interested in making my car purchase a great experience and as painless as possible. I would give Diego my highest recommendation for anyone in the market for a new Subaru- he will definitely take care of you! Bottom line, save yourself the time and hassle approaching multiple dealers and contact Diego- he takes care of business!

I went to Subaru already having an idea of what car I wanted, however I was hesitant as I had never dealt with car salesmen before. I ve heard how pushy they can be! I wasn t looking forward to it, especially being a first time buyer. I was helped by Joshua Ariel who did not fit any of the pushy car salesmen stereotype. He was very kind and helpful! Buying a Car is a nerve racking obligation for me...but I have never been more welcomed, treated with more respect then my experience I had with the guys at Carr Subaru. After reaching out for a recommendation....Fernando Del Campo, trusted friend of mine at Carr Subaru had Robert Hills guide me through the process. Robert listened to my needs, concerns and hopes...he then offered me options, gave me personal insight, allowed me to ask questions and most of all respected the fact I was a novice. I would like to personally thank Fernando, who worked with the numbers with me to get into a new car. But also to Robert, and the rest of the financing team for simply treating me just not as a potential sale, but giving me the human level appreciation that I needed.

Called on a car that was priced online. Never once asked to discount the car. Called them made sure the car was still available. Was told but the sales person that it was. Told them I would like to buy it. They agreed, talked to manager who also agreed to it. Today I call to follow up and am told they wont be letting me buy it. The "Owner told them they couldn't" This place is clearly is doing amazing and they dont need my business. YES I live out of state but that doesnt change anything! MONEY IS MONEY

Had a great experience buying a car from Dan Doyle at Carr Subaru. Although the dealership was extremely busy, Dan took all the necessary time I needed to make the right choice. He was patient with me as I test drove a couple of vehicles. Was mindful of my finances, and wanted to make sure that my payment obligations would be a good fit for me and my family.

I appreciated his experience and knowledge about the whole process, and the Subaru I ultimately purchased. He s been with Carr Subaru for over 19 years, this is the guy you want in your corner.

Carr Subaru as a whole, was fantastic to work with. From Dan greeting me, to Becky in the finance dept, to me driving off the lot, I never once felt pressured, or forced, to do anything I was uncomfortable with. They took care of me throughout the entire time, and I actually felt relaxed, at peace, and excited about my purchase.

We were lied to during the sales process and lied to during maintenance. If you try to hold them accountable, they ll have you sit for 60+ minutes while they find the person you need to talk to only to let you know they re not in and to come back tomorrow.

I am 10,000 miles into a new car and it has required more shop time than my old 200,000 mile car. Burn your $x0,000 it will end up being less stressful and a better deal.

Edo was the salesman who helped us get into our new car! From the moment we stepped on the lot, he listened to what we were looking for and did not pressure us to buy yet went above and beyond to show us all our options. He was very informative and was able to answer all our questions! Although my husband and I were just looking around that day, we were able to walk away with a car that fit all our needs and worked well with our budget! The entire team we worked with was super hospitable and we surely will recommend anyone to Carr Subaru if they're looking for a car! We stopped by to look at an Ascent and were lucky enough to be helped out by Alejandro! He was amazing! We didnt feel like he was trying to sell us anything, rather he felt like an friend that was excited to show us a car. His excitement to show us this car showed that he is proud of the cars he sells and the company he works for. He really made our car buying experience wonderful. Everyone else who worked with us were wonderful as well. We feel that we got our new car for a fair price and they worked with us to get a great deal on our trade in too!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Carr!
Car buying is kind of a daunting task, and I always get nervous about having to deal with pushy sales people + having to say no to things 100x over. NOT the case with Carr.
Joe Hernandez handled everything so efficiently + even let me bring my puppy in while signing paperwork. I d call that a win all around.

I drove up to Portland from Bend last Saturday in search of an Impreza. I had found one at a different Subaru dealership online but once I got there it of course had already sold. The salesman was not very friendly and treated me like I was wasting his time. Even with this treatment, he still tried to push me in to something I didn t want. Fast forward to my drive to Beaverton....
My Sister and I were greeted warmly by Andrew as soon as we parked. He showed me their inventory of what I told him I was interested in and at no point did I feel pushed. One of the cars caught my eye and I knew I had to buy it. From start to end it was completely painless. The negotiation process was super fair and Andrew assured us numerous times he would not allow me to walk away unhappy. We were there at lunchtime and he even bought my sister and I a delicious ramen meal while we waited for the paperwork. The atmosphere in general was very nice. My sister walked to grab a soda from the vending machine and one of the random employees walking by pushed her money aside and purchased it for her.

We then moved in to Margaret s office. She went over everything in detail and made sure I was 100% happy and understood everything. I even rate shopped once I got home at a local CU that wasn t on her radar and she helped get all the paperwork to them so I could save more money.

I highly recommend this dealership. It was never a gross used sales car lot kind of feel. I will definitely recommend it and when I m ready for another vehicle, my search starts here!!

My salesman Ben Coffey was fantastic. He answered every question i had on the details of my new car purchase. Ben went over and beyond to find the color and options i needed. During the negotiations, Ben did a #1 job to get me a fair price & the extra bits & pieces that make dealing with Carr Subaru so wonderful. He also made sure i got connected to Mary Coffey (no relation) who trained me on the bells & whistles including hooking up voice activated bluetooth controls to my phone. Leased a new Forester over Veterans Day weekend. Everyone at Carr Subaru was amazing. Antonio met us shortly after we arrived on the lot and was such a great help. He spent a good chunk of the afternoon seeing to all of questions and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. He spent the time to help us make the financials fit our budget and we appreciate his efforts.
Melanie helped us out with comparing auto insurance and actually found us a better deal, with better coverage, then what we already had.
