Was great for our lil birthday party. The brunch buffet is amazing! Grits were done correctly! Bacon was perfect the omelet station was a favorite for the party. The desert section and selection was awsome. Service was on point with drinks even water. Which is rare these days! Little pricey but you DO get what you pay for just come hungry!

This beautiful, charming, historic inn is.a wonderful place to stay. The buffet was delicious and staff friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to come back.
A historic boutique hotel that has a really cool decor and a great on campus location. Staff is always pleasant and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Guess overnight parking is $18 overnight but convenient. Shops and lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. Only regret I wish they would bring their "Classic Check-In Cookies" back!
Wow wow wow I had no idea what a pretty place this is but then we got inside and it s even prettier. Very classy, timeless, renovated, romantic. Our AC did not work great but I didn t care the place was like a dream. Highly recommend it
Been staying at Carolina Inn for years (for business). It s a beautiful hotel inside and out. Right in the heart of UNC. Rooms are beautiful and well cared for. So much local history. Love it.
Excellent service, sparking clean rooms and facility. Love the charm and nostalgia of the hotel decor and rooms!! Very good location near to dining and shopping as well as UNC campus. We stayed with our two children as we were passing through on our travels. The beds were very comfortable, and we had adequate space in the room. The hotel is located just a few blocks from Franklin Street, which has a variety of restaurants, shops, coffee houses, ice cream shops, banks, and even a Target. We decided to take a stroll to Franklin Street and, while it was a little bit more then a quick walk, it was still doable for a 7 and 8 year old without any fuss. There was also an art gallery within walking distance with free admission. (I believe it was Akland Art Gallery. We did not have time to check it out but it looked like something to check out if you are in the area.)
The hotel has a 24 hour gift shop/pantry which is attended by an employee at all times, a restaurant in hotel, a morning room (with a few couches and a few small tables and chairs to eat at, a TV and a microwave if you need use of one.
The rooms have mini fridges, and coffee makers, but no microwave in room. We did not mind not having a microwave in the room as there was one available in the morning room if needed. Bed's and bedding were clean and comfortable.
There were plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and outside the hotel. Grounds are well kept. And we noticed a fairly small business center but it was available to guests. Lots of conference and ball rooms available for rental as well.
We travel quite a bit and I have to say that the service, cleanliness, location and quaint decor made for an outstanding stay for a family of four traveling through. It was more then just a room for the night. It was an experience that broke up the monotonous long drives that accompany road trips.
This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The people were so friendly and accommodating. The air conditioner in the room worked! The refrigerator in the room worked! This is all almost unheard of! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. A lot of places provided to plug in chargers and such. The location to Franklin street cannot be beat! Very walkable! The only negative is the size of the room which was very small. Husband and I found it quite comical trying to both move around in the room.
Both my now husband and I had a great time staying at the Inn for our wedding! The Bryan Courtyard and the Old Well Room were perfect for our ceremony and reception, both were beautiful on the wedding day. Thank you to Tiffany and the rest of the staff for making both myself and my family feel so welcome and for helping us create our dream wedding!
We had supper at the Crossroads restaurant. It was a great experience and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the grilled salmon and the apple crumble.
