came over here years and years ago, brought by a colleague and it didn't impress me...
came back because of my company's dinner and I reassert my old impression: there is no attention and particular cure in food preparation. it's just like a "eat as much as you can" place... overcrowded and noisy. in other words... good place for cheap tourists

For an open air event...it was amazing!! Especially impressed by security and crowd control.
But the queues to get into an event just kill me. Fix it!

This is probably one of the best known restaurants in Africa, nevermind just Nairobi. They haven't served game for years now (for good reason) so the food is mainly your standard meats (pork, beef, lamb, turkey etc) but there are some more exotic options and the ostrich steak was really good. On the whole the meats were of good quality and were well cooked, but some were a little fatty or not quite as tender. We were brought salad, potato and sauces at the start too and the waiters would suggest the appropriate sauces for each meat.

The BBQ pit is huge! Service was very good too.

Quite expensive, but a worthwhile box to tick and a whole lot of meat for lunch!

Great place for a protein laden meal. The pumbas out the back are thankfully not on the menu! I'm not a fan of crocodile or ostrich but the rest was excellent.

Great place for concerts, sadly your service is not good. Waiters continuously added prices eg we were given several different prices for the "dawa" drink ie 500/-, 650/- and 750/- from different Waiters, for beer we were given different prices 250/-, 350/-, 450/-. Essentially bad service.

The fireplace used to roast meat at Canivore gives the place more warmth that u need not warm clothing for the night.

This restaurant had a good atmosphere and the food was quite good. Just a note, the Kenyan government banned the sale of most game meats (that's a good thing!) so don't expect a lot of exotic foods. There is crocodile and ostrich, but that is as exotic as it gets.
If you like meat, you will love this place, if you are a vegetarian, don't bother. They bring around large hunks of barbecued meat on skewers and cut it onto your plate much like Brazilian BBQ.
You will leave very full but expect to pay tourist prices for the food and drinks. It was about $50 a head with 2-3 drinks.

The Carnivore Restaurant has always been consistent in it's customer service, quality of food served and presented as well as recruitment of trained staff. It is always a place to revisit occasionally and refer to friends, although is a bit pricey. Always a remarkable experience nonetheless.

Best restaurant in the area. Can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is outstanding and the food is delicious.

Great food, wonderful hospitality. I especially love the playground at the back of the restaurant. Perfect family spot.

I held my son's birthday party there and all the wait staff came out singing as they brought his cake. You can't give more than 5 stars, but I would have given them about 7!!!

Carnivore is sweet especially if you are that party guy.it has also a nice place palce to hold your meetings if at all you want to .

The place was amazing, I have never seen so much much variety of meat served in one place during one meal. If you feel so carnivorous, this is the place to go to, you are guaranteed of satisfying any meat cravings you may have. But worry not vegetarians, they have a special menu for you as well :-)

They won't stop serving you until you surrender they have many varieties of meat like Turkey, lamp, beef, crocodile, ostrich, rabbits, chicken, and I loved the pull testicles

it's unic get in to wash rooms no sinks but water doesn't splash to your clothes at all

Very Good Service. Food is served in Brazilian grill style. Very delicious. Along with the meats comes different sauces. I suggest to add any hot sauce because the chili sauce served is mild.
Overall a really unique experience and nice atmosphere. Bill for 2 persons was 7800 shillings including extra charge of 2 fresh
juices.

If you are a meat lover this is the place to be. I love the meat and the hospitality.

Its located along Langatta Road near Wilson airport. A place with a nice compound to hold events. The meals here are very delicious.

Amazing atmosphere, guys walking around with huge swords with meat. The way they sliced it was mesmerizing. Overall an amazing experience, and for the price an absolute must. The only thing a little disappointing was the limited options in "exotic" meat

Huku Kani... Huku good food and ambience... Ground fiti for events.. THE ATMOSPHERE COMBINES THE RUSTIC FEEL OF A RURAL SETTING AND A MEDIEVAL BANQUET HALL. ANOTHER FAMOUS FEATURE TO SET THE TONE OF THE CARNIVORE EXPERIENCE IS THE HOUSE COCKTAIL THE 'DAWA' (MAGIC POTION IN SWAHILI). IT IS BASED ON A FAMOUS BRAZILIAN DRINK, AND WAS INTRODUCED TO KENYANS AT THE CARNIVORE. IT IS BROUGHT TO YOU ON A PORTABLE TRAY BY THE MEDICINE MAN FITTINGLY NAMED DR. DAWA.

It was flooded when the rains came but it was awesome
