Soup was nice. I was told a particular drink was only 300 shillings each, at the end I was charged 700 each which cost me a lot extra. The food was nothing special. Not worth the price when there is so much good cheap food in Nairobi

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a better rating. Service is fairly slow, somehow staff seem confused ( turn out was say 3-4 tables). Ordered 1 beer which took about 20 something minutes to come. Just didnt leave a good impression. Places feels dated especially the back side.

The Carnivore is an institution! One of the longest running restaurants in Kenya. When I was little, it was great, in my teenage years, it was great, in my twenties, still great. How do they do it?

This place came highly recommended for all sorts of meat. And ironically, i think I ended up having fish! I m sure I tasted the meat from my colleagues plate.

There was something though. When I visited, there were so many cats around. This was very unsettling for me. I have an extreme fear for or should I say discomfort around cats. So I couldn t concentrate on the meal. All I was doing was ensuring that the cats weren t close to me. I was glad when it was time to leave.

The Carnivore Restaurant is very well renown! You love eating meat, this is one of the best places to go while in Nairobi! It used to be the number one on my agenda! However, nowadays, I can't tell! This being said, it is still my favorite! You will enjoy so much the service and the meat!

The Staff is so welcoming! They will serve you with Joy, Respect and consideration! Various meat are served there! Crocodile, ostrich, beef, porc, lamb, etc....and bull balls! No snakes however!

You will enjoy the various sauces presented. And their non-alcoholic Dawa (local ginger drink with honey), is excellent!

This all you can eat buffet is pricey but a delicious experience. Lots of yummy meat (crocodile and ostrich were my favorites). The sauces were great too. You have to eat the meat while it's still hot or else it gets dry.

It s just superb. When I asked if they serve Halal meet, they showed me the certificate from the local council certifying that they use Halal meat. It was a four-course meal; before the main course, they bring you a flag and keep serving you exotic meat varieties such as ostrich, lamb leg and rack, sirloin, spare ribs, roast rabbit, chicken wings, skewered kidneys until you put down that flag. I was taken completely by surprise when one of the staff told me that they also serve crocodile meat.

The concept and arrangement is excellent. The staff is courteous and service is good. Good to try something different with friends or family. You will get lot of options in non vegetarian dishes which we could not enjoy as we prefer limited ones only.

Looking for the best place to dine with your family or friends? This is the best place because of the excellent dedicated staff service. I really applaud this place for their clean and tidy environment. And the food was of decent quality and yummy . I will really have to come back again next time I visit Kenya. I certainly recommend this place.

Very nice atmosphere and place, but the waiters were a little stressful and started serving the food even before we've had seen a wine card and ordered something to drink - and I also had to ask 3 times for the wine card before we got it, so the starter got cold before we got the wine.

The meat was nice, but a little boring salad and a dry potato, so I think it's a bit overrated place, and therefore doesn't fit the high price at 3.600 KES per person for the food, compared to other restaurants in Nairobi.

We also ordered a dessert each, that was included in the price, and after 20 minutes waiting, they told us that the dessert we chosen was sold out, then we ordered another one which was also sold out.

I would therefore go somewhere else, unless you really just wanna try tasting crocodile, rabbit and ostrich meat, no matter what :-)

The most unwanted place on earth. They treat you like animals. Please don't go there if you want to save your pride and purse. It is not worthy for a single star also. Poor manners of the staff!

Very professional and friendly staff, personalized service and clean food. I tried all kinds of meat and writing the review the next day with absolutely no digestion or upaet stomach. Staff would ask you wjat you liked most and then ask waiters to bring more of that. The idea is you get a small paper colored flag that is standing in a small wooden post. As long as the flag is up, the meat keeps coming. I love the ostrich and the crocodile meat, there is also chicken wings, chicken breast, pork ribs, pork meat, turkey, lamb meat, pork sausage and lamb sausage, and a variety of other sauces that come in a nice round wooden display with mini salads on the lower floor and all the sauces on the upper one. Paid 3600 local cutrency or around 36$. Extra beverage is 200. U also get free soop, and desert. Highly recommended

Pros is very cheap for what you get as long as you dont drink too much. They take credit card and do not annoy for tips. Nice place outside. Con. So so far. Extremely slow service where they almost force you to eat soup to save on precious meat. I sat down for 20 minutes before being served anything. Then i had to ask for specific meats because they were not coming with any exotic meat just pork and chicken. Other lounges and restaurants are expensive so lunch buffet is the way to go. Overall good experience. I recommend for tourists

Very fun and varied experience. Very fun vibes throughout the entire dinner. All the meat offerings were very well prepared and deliciously spiced with sauces to try with! The soup and bread were delicious too. The only negative are the prices, extremely expensive. The most expensive meal we have ever paid for, and we live in the US where there is a similar dining experience for much less. Still, I suggest trying it if you love meat and would like to try things you've never had before.
