Nice place for some Friday arvo work drinks but feel like the music has not changed since 2005

Entry fee was like $10 which was amazing. Drinks were pretty good as well. Serving time wasnt too long and the crowd was nice as well. Music was mixture of rnb and bit of rock old school so a bit for everyone

Was here for an x-mas party, not impressed with the food, music or atmosphere.

Nice place and nice lighting! Love the plastic bubbles that you can inside and chill! It s more fun late at night when they have the music going and everyone s dancing! Quite laid back.

Boxing day. Very Busy but one wait staff at bar. Huge prices, obviously won't pay penalty rates for staff but bet my bill included holiday surcharges. Poor form.

Still the same as 10 years ago. Pricey drinks. Food is okay.

Yep it was a hot evening in the sun, with occasionally long queues at the bar, but it's hard to beat the location.

There is a steak you can eat for 10 $ on Monday ~ Thursday (as of January 2017).
The order method is written on the counter, so you can check it and place an order.
There are many bars where you can eat cheap steaks
I think it s delicious.
I think the type of liquor is not much different from other bars.
If you go to the weekday Happy hour, you can get steak + beer 15 $.

The ladies toilets were badly flooded WHS issue and stunk really. For a beautiful spot a little disappointed with quality of venue

First time caller this weekend. The creative space Cargo has created must be recognized. Music was banging. Drinks were poured to the measurement. Bravo!

When this isn't too busy, it is a very nice place to come for some drinks and socialising. I came here on a Sunday evening, and found the upstairs area to be very delightful, with comfortable lounges, and a chilled atmosphere. Bartenders are all very quick and nice, and drinks are reasonably priced (for the city haha).

Horrible bar! Food taste bad, workers disrespectful, and drinks way too expensive! Do not recommend! Go to the Ivy or World bar instead.

Cargo bar provides a great place to catch up with friends, grab a drink and always has great, current tunes to dance up a storm.
Good atmosphere and views of Darling Harbour, it's very popular for an after work drink. Their cocktails served in giant cannisters and spray jars are always a hit.
I have found service here to be quite slow and the staff apathetic to questions or complaints.

Been closed for ages. Saying opening Spring. Well that began on 1st of September. Miss my steak nights.

I hosted a client event at Cargo bar and was really impressed with everything. Service was excellent, and they have really good packages for food and drinks.

Highly recommend it for private events.

This bar was ok. The beer that had on tap could have had more variety. There are better bars at darling harbour.

Went there at lunch time during the week. Pathetic service. Food took ages to come out and when it did it came out separately. The staff were unhelpful and inefficient Complete waste of money.

A good place for various drinks and occasions. They have a nice range of drinks and the venue itself is nice and cozy. The atmosphere is vibrant and the location is well situated by the waters.

My friends and I went here for the igloo experience, which was fun! It wasn t much more than a sitting in a clear tent with a few chairs, but it was nice to have your own space. The warm cocktails were amazing, and would definitely recommend! Our waiter was also excellent and torched our marshmallows in front of us which was a fun touch! The food was reasonably good, only nibbles though. I probably wouldn t pay 25 for the igloo again, but would definitely buy the warm cocktail. The inside of the bar was a little loud and noisy.

The bar tender upstairs was the best! She needs a rise.

Really tasty food, but staff refuse to provide the happy hour drinks as advertised on ALL the menus stating the promotion runs at different hours.

Came here last night and the drinks were watered down. Tables were sticky when we arrived as well.

Great location and great selection of drinks. Iconic spot, but it's actually getting quieter these days.

Nice bar. Usually too crowded when I try to get it, but manageable. I guess you can really appreciate the range of drink when you go on a quiet night. The staff is very responsive and professional, so no major issues. Popular place with students.

I really enjoy this place. Obviously a perfect preference and a subject experience, however the evening music and the lighting makes it more enjoyable than most clubs. Theres a great outdoor seating area with heaters for those who don't want to dance or need a place to chat up a new found partner.

The manager really wants to assure a good service, thank you for your attention.

The food was appalling. Ordered the rump steak medium rare and they served me some charcoal on a plate. The garden salad with it must have been made up at lunch. The only thing I could eat on my plate was the French fries - hard to cock that up. The rest of the meals on our table looked just as bad. I certainly won t eat here again.

Happy hour 1500-1800 period is good to eat, half price for steak. Add a glass of beer and enjoy the environment

I was part of a bucks party that had a reservation. The man at the door said that we were not allowed in and our reservation should not have been taken, because they don't accept bucks parties. As I was getting told this a hens party showed up and I asked if they would be allowed in. He said yes. I said that I am struggling to understand why we were not allowed in with a reservation. The security then said that there is nothing to understand, he's letting the hens party in and not us. He didn't say we were loud or intoxicated, we weren't rowdy and there was only five of us at this stage. There was barely anyone in there. We spent around $1000 elsewhere.

At best this was blatant sexism. Never have I experience such rudeness from an alleged business. I hope it goes broke and turns into a yoghurt shop.

Not a bad place to rock up to on a Friday night. Good music, variety of drinks. A bit on the pricey side though.

Cargo bar is perfectly located in King Street Wharf which is only a short 5 minute stroll from the CBD. There is a less formal downstairs bar with pool tables and plenty of seats outside. The upstairs bar is more formal and has a guest membership as it gets very busy at the weekends. They do cheap pizzas and cocktails on a Thursday night. Great atmospehere!

Hoop on any cab and they will take you to the best Bar in Darling Harbor. Really good staff, and very friendly. don't miss out the $10 steak from Monday to Thursday.

Cargo bar is where it's at. Bang on the water with good amount of seating and is the perfect place to grab a beer before heading out of that cruise you've been looking forward to.

This review is sorely based on the food. Its i could give a zero i would.

Great value and good food with a great view over the harbour visited twice in our stay to Australia.

Came here on a Saturday night while visiting Sydney from Melbourne with a group of friends (almost equal male and female).. I had a good time solely due to the company I was with and not the venue itself. My male friend who was having a good time (not intoxicated) was having a conversation with a second friend (also not intoxicated) when he was kicked out, for I quote, "for talking too much" by one of the security staff. He was in no way being a nuisance as it was a private conversation between two friends who were having a good laugh. It's ridiculous to have to watch over your shoulder just in case the security staff think you seem to actually be enjoying yourself. Reminds me of the dynamic between teachers and primary school kids. Ridiculous.

The staff are so friendly and gave us good service.
$10 Steak was okay.

Great location and even better service. The bartender was very approachable and recommended an excellent wine to compliment my pizza. I think he's name was Marcus. I would definitely recommend the BBQ pizza.

An abundance of places along the Promenade, King St Wharf Sydney. We chose the Cargo open style restaurant. They were offering steak, fries, Salad for $10. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the steak. Medium rear, prepared to perfection, very tasty. Service was good, great value.

Great drinks and great cocktails like most bars, could have some more staff at peak times to serve, does get really busy due to it's popularity but all in all it is a pretty good bar in a great and convenient location.
