My mother was at Care-Age for rehab and she had a wonderful experience. I visited her everyday. The staff were very caring and friendly. Very well managed and we loved "Marie" the therapy dog. My mother has been through rehab before and this center was by far the best place we have been to. Highly Recommend!!!

I have worked year for 22 years. This place used to be awesome. In the past 3 years it went down hill. If you have a learning disability, don't apply. Most of the staff doesn't understand people who have a learning disability The kitchen manager doesn't understand at all. I just found out that is place had 12 citations this past survey and two ij's. Shorehaven is a awesome place and (oconomowoc) . You get treated like family!!!

Their doctor was incredibly rude and disrespectful and made my grandmother think that she had an infection in her knee, implying she was at death's door. Took her to visit her surgeon the very next day, and she was perfectly fine! Their doctor also continuously referred to my mother and grandmother as "you people" and waved her hand around in my grandma's face because she was "done listening to you people"

My step father received short term rehab at Care-Age and the care he received was excellent. The staff was professional, conscientious, and exceeded our expectations. The facility was very clean and the court yard is beautiful. The admission and discharge processes were very organized and stress free. I would recommend Care-Age to others needing rehab services.

Dumbest staff I ve ever met!!! This is NOT a 5 star facility, it wouldn t even be rated if I had the choice! They are not using the medical equipment properly!! Running the nebulizer at such a low level (should be ran at 6 but staff is running at 2), that patients are basically suffocating by breathing in their own CO2! They can not follow a med log for the life of them or administer the correct drugs! I am absolutely appalled at the level of care this facility gives their patients! This makes me pray to god I don t live long enough to have to stay in a place like this!

Horrible place! My wife worked there and quit in 2 weeks!! Someone begged her to stay and fired her because she expressed safety concerns about how patients were treated. The nursing home side qualifies for a state visit. Do not send your loved ones to their long term side.

Terrible! A friend was here and the staff forgot to feed her, TWICE! They made her wait 45 minutes to use the restroom. A Dr. also put her hand in her face to make her stop talking in a "stop" gesture. THIS is NOT how you treat people. I will never send anyone here and pray others read the reviews.

This place was Just Awful and Horrible to my Father. Some Staff was great.. The Doctor at Care Age went against my fathers Kidney Doctor and did his own thing. The Kidney Doctor would want my Father to drink lots of water. The Doctor at Care Age somehow put him on a Water Restriction??? Because of this it made him worse... Please Keep an Eye out on your love ones when it comes to their HEALTH.

My mother needed to come here for re-hab after surgery. Daily, I would call up to Care-Age to talk to her nurse, social worker, etc... Each and every time I called, they gave me the time to explain everything to me since we can't visit due to Covid. Never once were they short with me and were always super nice. Mom did tell me that ALL the nurses were great, and mentioned "Val" being very good to her. Thank you for taking such good care of our mother !

I was at Care-Age for three weeks for therapy following a surgical procedure. The people that work here are wonderful, caring and I cannot say enough about my positive experience. The kitchen was very accommodating and the food was very good. I consider myself a picky person but this center surpassed my expectations. If I ever need rehab again I will definitely come back to Care-Age.

Historically, this place WAS amazing. Today, it's just awful. Patients wait over an hour for help, have to ask for clean bedding, and the level of care just isn't there like it was just a few years ago. So sad to see.

This is the best facility I have ever set foot in. The facility is clean, warm and inviting. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I have been in the facility across town, and they were not nearly as nice as they were at Care-Age.

This was my first time here and I loved it! The therapists were outstanding and that is why I came here. They helped me get back on my feet and allowed me to return to my home.
I enjoyed the food and really enjoyed the twice a week happy hours. I love my wine!
The building was very clean.
Most of all everyone was so polite and kind to me, always called me by my name. The nurses were always very attentive to all my needs. My doggie got to come in and visit me too that always made my day!!

This place is not 5 stars. These are the laziest nurses and nurse aids ever. My mother was there for rehab. The nurse I believe her name was Jamie took over an hour just to bring her tylenol. And her aide Marissa along with her partner were jusr rude to my mother. They always have a pouty face on and seem annoyed helping my mother out.

Do not send loved ones here. They hire the minimum...

Do not send loved ones here. They hire the minimum number of CNAs required by the state: one CNA per eight residents is criminal; there is no way one person can take care of eight needy people. The inevitable result is neglect. Residents have a button to press if they need help. This turns on a light outside the resident's door. CNAs and other staff openly ignore illuminated lights. My Dad was there for two months and every day, every night, these lights are on and completely ignored. Residents have no other way to get the attention of staff. I don't need to detail how dangerous this can be. (What's more, lights furthest from the nursing station at the end of the hall are not even visible from the nursing station!) Also, there is a beeping sound at the nursing station when a resident push the alarm button from the bathroom, but these beeps are also ignored at all times.
I witnessed CNAs shaming residents in the bathroom. I witnessed them being shamefully disrespectful to multiple residents, including my father. I witnessed them casually talking together in the hall when residents were in need, ignoring the need.
The medical doctor was so disrespectful of my father, whose mental faculties were 100%. He's an Asian doctor who didn't address my father directly or look at him, and he clearly hated his job--acted as if he had been banished to this job as if it were Siberia. He didn't give a damn about anything we or my father was telling him; he dismissed everything we said, didn't listen, and prescribed medicine that appears to have led directly to my father's death a few months later.
It is tearing me apart to write this because I'm reliving the nightmare as I do. The experience was horrific for my father. It continues to give us nightmares, literally.
In two months, I saw the director of the facility all of three times, walking down the hall in his custom three-piece suits and Italian leather shoes, not once greeting a single person or even looking into a room.

I know it says Rehab but it is not. Check on your loved ones in the afternoon. They are accepting nursing home people who are unable to be rehabilitated (bed ridden). Lack of care, broken lifts, neglectful staff, CNA's leaving during shifts if they don't get their choice of section, "clicks", when you report abuse to upper management it gets ignored. People are not being fed. Physical abuse to dementia/Alzheimer's patients. Emotional abuse (blaming patients for falls). Fecal filled briefs in bathrooms. I literally observed someone get doped up for singing. CNAs hide all throughout the shift and management doesn't do anything. I asked to speak with owners and was told "you can't". All aides and nurses need to be trained properly or fired. Don't let the deficiency free claim fool you like I did. A lot of things are covered up. Because of my own integrity, I quit in 2 weeks. I refuse to be a part of that type of elder abuse.

My mom has lived at Care Age for a little over a year and she loves it. The staff are all wonderful to her, they have great activities, and they feed the residents good food. I can't think of anywhere better for her to be. They treat her like family.

A family member of mine stayed here for a few weeks and my entire family was disappointed in the lack of care he received. They misdiagnosed him 3 times, and almost gave him insulin when it was meant for another patient. Had my dad not said anything against it, he would have received it. Some of the staff are very kind, most of them are very short and rude to their patients. I ve heard them be dismissive to not only my grandfather but others, without any reasoning. The doctors send in a flabotomist without letting the patient know why they re drawing blood, or updating them on their health. Also, social hour at the nurses station tends to keep them from doing their jobs and helping patients when they need it.
