I wanted to go somewhere we don't always go so my partner Googled. I'm hard to please with Italian cuisine but this restaurant really made my night. Our waitress was attentive and provided us with the specials. She also responded favorably with several suggestions of local favorites. The beer offering is not shabby with a broad spectrum available. You may not find your favorite but the styles are represented well. The wine list is deliciously imported from Italy for the most part. Buy a bottle if you're in a group to share. If not, the house red and white will not wrinkle your nose. The entrees we enjoyed were freshly prepared and delicious. I make a saffron'd risotto and I just need to sneak back into their kitchen to see how they do theirs so wonderfully in under an hour and a half. Mozzarella meatballs were creamy and outstanding and the Chicken Saltimbocca was bright and appealing. Will definitely return to enjoy both food, wine and atmosphere. Soon!

My wife and I were here on a Saturday evening and had dinner at the bar. Both of our entrees were excellent. She had the Chicken Saltimbocca and I had a dish with Italian Sausage and a really good red sauce. Our server was incredibly friendly, helpful and professional despite being very busy.

Came here for lunch after a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The low lights and music almost makes you forget you're in a strip mall. I went with the half sized lunch lasagna which was super flavorful and packed with plenty of meat. The dessert menu was on point, offering plenty of classic Italian desserts like gelato, cannolis, and tiramisu. Didn't have a chance to try any buy I'll be back one of these days.

The service was not good and they were not that busy. The food was decent but I feel they are really overshadowed by a lot of the other options in the area (morretti's). Portion size was not good but not unreasonably small. The wine was good, decent pour size.

So so so so good. Very fresh! I LOVE the stuffed mushrooms and Brushetta for starters! The best I've EVER HAD BY FAR! IT'S A MUST HAVE! The staff is top notch. Service is ALWAYS FANTASTIC!

The food was well made and great quality, very fresh ingredients. We loved the marinara sauce! It can go on anything. I really enjoyed the meatballs and their fried mozzarella is THE BEST!! The stuffed mushroom was good, can't say my favorite in the city, but a good stuffed portobello mushroom. I enjoyed the scallops Fresca, but just should have requested a lot more of the lemon and wine sauce. The Osso Buco was delicious!! The service was excellent! Very nice atmosphere.

I'll start off with, I have not been here physically, however my office ordered from Cardone's via DOORDASH & had an absolutely HORRIFIC experience (because of DoorDash 110%, not Cardone's) - I was back & forth calling DoorDash & calling Cardone's. Pain in my rear!
Let me say though, with Dan; the owner/chef at Cardone's, he was absolutely PHENOMENAL. He was very understanding & accommodating with DoorDash's mess. Everything was wrong on the DoorDash end, but Dan made everything RIGHT for us!

Once we received our food, the DoorDash drivers finally got it together & delivered it... Anyway, once we got our food, everything looked, smelled & tasted absolutely amazing. Our group got a ton of food, the chicken carbonara, eggplant parm, chicken parm, stuffed mushrooms, white bean dip, CANOLES (YUM), salmon, etc. We got a variety & everyone was so pleased with it!

I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend eating at Cardone's!!
However, I would RECOMMEND AGAINST ever using DoorDash! Most awful experience I've ever had with 3rd party food delivery service, DoorDash is literally the WORST.

ALSO, I personally am not a huge fan of italian, but Cardone's won my heart with their juicy stuffed mushrooms, awesome caprese sandwich & AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dan (owner/chef) felt so awful about the entire situation because of DoorDash & said that if he had an extra employee, he would've just had someone deliver the meal for me! He was very polite & amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CARDONES!! :)

Food First... That's what matters most to me. The food has always been impeccable. The service has always been great. We are loyal patrons ever since the doors were open.

It's great to have a restaurant with a local owner who also doubles as the chef. Daniel puts every effort to make sure that every dish that comes out of the kitchen won't disappoint.

The ambiance is great for a quiet date night, which is what my wife and I prefer. The Italian sausage is always phenomenal, the meatballs as well. I always find myself getting the arancini as an appetizer. Also, I typically try the special that the chef has created on the menu as I always trust anything new that he has decided to prepare.

A full bar is also available with a great beer and wine list as well. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!!

Just had an excellent meal today at Cardones. There were seven in our party and all but one ordered different dishes. Each person in our group commented on the excellent flavor and presentation of their meal. Additionally, our waiter Antonio was friendly, efficient and attentive. The setting was uncrowded and conducive to conversation without the overpowering volume of loud background music that many restaurants have. Our group of cousins gathers monthly and we always go for an Italian restaurant because of our family heritage. Cardones is now on our "A" list for a repeat performance.

Friendly service, excellent quality, we did curbside pickup.
We got white bean dip, 2 salads, cheese pesto ravioli , sausage arrabbiata and two Tiramisu s for Dessert.
Unique flavors, a little different from traditional Italian but very, very good.
Great choice for a tasty dinner!
We will be back soon

Used to like this place but the last two times eating there I don t want to ever eat there again no matter how good the food is way over priced the shells are always dried out Sauce reminds me of ragu jar sauce and only four little shells for 18$ what almost 5$ a shellWhat and the fried balls of rice are a major waste of $ oh plenty of of other Italian restaurants to order from sorry Cardonea I paid twice different prices than your website I m out

First of all, the Cardone salad is unbelievable....you could come here and just have that. The veal chop was equally amazing. I would also note that the service was great and they are well set up for social distancing, so we had no worries there.

GIFT CARDS NOT ALLOWED!!

GIFT CARDS NOT ALLOWED!!
Tonight I went out with 2 girlfriends to a nice dinner. Our server was lovely and attentive and our food came out in good time and was tasty. All in all in was a great night. We were making plans to return.
UNTIL THE BILL CAME.
The only reason we had gone out tonight to Cardone's restaurant was one of us had $80 in $10 gift cards that were to expire the next day (Nov. 17, 2018). We put pay our bills, my friend with her gift cards. Then we are told only 4 of the 8 gift cards can be used. It said no where on the gift card. Our server explained the policy. We understood by because there were no wording on a limit, we just wanted to speak with a manager if there was an expectation since there was nothing about that rule on the gift cards or their website. He came out and explained that that is their policy on the IMS website and he did show us the details below.
We understand and paid our bills. But we had $40 of gift cards left. We then gave a gift card to 4 different tables since the gift cards expired the next day.
The other tables then use the gift cards and THE MANAGER TELLS THE SERVERS THOSE GIFT CARDS CANNOT BE USED ANYMORE. THE SERVERS THEN HAVE TO TELL THEIR PATRONS THAT "SINCE THE GIFT CARDS CAME FROM THE SAME SOURCE, THEY CANNOT USE THEM"

Then we overhear the manager tell our servers to 'NEVER USE GIFT CARDS ON YOUR BILLS. THAT'S YOUR MONEY AND YOU WORK HARD FOR IT' Maybe he doesn't understand how tipping works. We all tipped our server. We are 3 former servers and she was great tonight. It is the quality and manner of the manager than pushes me to write this review and to put others away from this restaurant. When we asked for the coupons back since they were not used, the manager said he ripped then up and told our party that because we are asking about other tables not receiving a discount- that following their policy they could have, that we would call the cops on us.

Don't bother with this place. There are tons of small family Italian restaurant in the area that know how to treat their customers

The best kept secret in Westerville. Everything is fresh, the bread is homemade, and staff are always enthusiastic about the food, which is outstanding. Come here for a proper risotto, amazing sauces and save room for desert! Dat cake, omg.

Great food and great service. I do have a problem with adding gratuities to a bill. Let the wait staff stand on their own merit. They are great and will get what they deserve. And if you insist on adding gratuities, why 20%? 15% is understandable and allows the customer to add more if deemed appropriate, but assuming they always do an excellent job is only going to upset the customer.

Great meal was had by all 4 of us. The house salad is the right size and the Nonis Italian dressing hit the spot. Chicken parmesan and chicken caprese were both excellent. We had the tiramisu as usual and it did not disappoint. We also had the chocolate layer cake for the first time and were surprised by the moistness and the flavor. It will be ordered again.

This place is so on point! I had the cheese ravioli with candied walnuts and it was one of the best things I have ever tasted. Dan, the owner, was extraordinary. He was kind and helpful. He was a fantastic person. Our food came out fast and I enjoyed every minute of this place. We will definitely be back again!

What an incredible surprise. The intimate setting, incredible staff and attention to detail on our meals was phenomenal. The special flair on each entree made a standard dish extraordinary.

Had a terrible experience at Cardone s. The food was fairly good, average Italian cuisine... not anything to write home about, but not terrible. Server was a sweetheart.

The issue was with the manager. I ve never in my life experienced such abhorrent treatment in a restaurant. I worked in the restaurant industry for nearly a decade, and this guy takes the cake for the most wretched manager I ve dealt with. After our encounter with him, we took a quick peek at the FB reviews for the restaurant. Nearly all 1 star reviews were due to poor experiences with this guy Dan, so apparently we weren t the first to be berated by him. He s since removed all reviews and disabled reviews entirely on his FB page.

The manager was so out of line, and with an apparent history of treating other patrons poorly, I can t recommend this place to anyone.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you re craving Italian.
