Brilliant rink very good facilities but food s very basic and quite expensive

Great rink and decent quality facilities, the downsides are that every time we go the staff seem to be absorbed in talking to each other rather than to the customers. Also there is very little information available online or in the rink itself regarding membership or what is on offer. Also there are no skating times outside of Mon-Fri 9-5 for adults, so if you want to go in the evening it's either on family night (loads of kids) or disco night (loads of teenagers).

Visited as part of an event ice skating which was too busy. Watched ice hockey match afterwards which was really good, would highly recommend a match.

Awesome place to go watch some hockey, great team and the new rink is top notch, really good views where ever you sit. Fantastic evening for fans of hockey or someone new to the sport, won't be disappointed

Good ice ring shame about the staff. I had never been here before so had no idea how the place worked, the stuff are not really that helpful.

Really good ice arena parking is a bit restricted and the food concessions poor

Very easy to find. Free parking. Best to arrive in the week as literally no people there. Right next to white water sports centre and swimming pool. The big ice rink is amazing.

This place is great if you want to go ice skating! I watched the Cardiff devils and ot was amazing!

Facilities are absolutely brilliant and staff are always on hand to help with any questions or needs.

I skating every wednesday during the public session with my friends. Thanks to my friends and several other friendly skaters who gave me lots of advice and pointers which helped my learn to skate.

Prices can be a bit off-putting until you get an ICE card and your own pair of skates but otherwise iceskating here is fun and enjoyable. With the new stadium currently under construction right next door I look forward to progressing with my skating

Went there as my 2 girls wanted to try ice skating. We were not even on the ice for 5 minutes and my oldest didn't like it and wanted to come off as she was in tears. That's fine took her off handed skates back in and asked for a partial refund to be told NO they have a no refund policy. Will definitely not be going back

Great arena very well laid out and easy to get to via transport links. Much nicer than the previous stadium my only issue is that you get numb bum sitting on those plastic seats.

Ice Arena Wales is one of the best places you can ice-skate, with prices that don't break the bank and skates which don't try to pull your feet off. It is amazing compared to any temporary rink and has good opening times. Well recommended

Great place for skating. If a little pricey during peak. Freindly staff. Nice vibe. Good music. Good boots but no straps. Ice resurfaced every few hours. Only thing is the cafe there could do with a little upscaling especially as there is not much else around for food.

Great new ice rink for the Cardiff Devils. Would be 5 stars but they only accept cash as payment at the bar for food and drinks

Never a steward on the ice! Yet again my daughter got sent flying by a hockey skater and a member of the public had to help her off ! When she was crying someone else was looking for a first aider after a child had a bleeding face after being knocked over by another skater and still no steward to help !

Love the place amazing night watching the hockey and other events that happen. The only thing I would say is, it is expensive for food and drink. And don't bother with the shop. Too small to look at what they are selling.

Great venue. Watched cage warriors 100 and Polaris 8. Obviously take a coat it gets cold in there! Drink were good price

I recently had a course of skate excellence beginner lessons. I do not think that the system they have of teaching is beneficial to the inexperienced skater. They have a weekly to do "tick list" they aim to get you to do each week. Whether More

16 and 11 year olds first time skating and really enjoyed their time here

Great ice arena, with two pads and good quality ice maintenance. The public sessions stick mostly to timetable, however the patch sessions sometimes lack some organization. There is unfortunately no timetable on the door for information and the staff are not always fully devoted to attending customers. On the other hand, the facility is the best in the country and is very well cleaned thanks to the wonderful cleaner. Improvements are required, but the ice rink is suited to hold competitions, hockey matches and ice spectaculars.

I've only been here twice and it was to watch the ice hockey so I can't really comment on the ice rink but I love coming to watch the ice hockey here. It's such an improvement on the bbt. You have a great view wherever you sit and there's a few different places to get food and drinks so you're not all queuing at the same place. That being said, the service was poor when I went to get some chips, they were very slow and unorganised. The service at the hot dog stand on the other hand was great.

Turned up on a Sunday evening as the web site states it's skating session runs until 1745 but the staff closed the session at 1715 and could not give any reason why.

The disabled is up stairs and had trouble with getting around. Was not told before we booked seats.

Love coming to watch the devils... nice burgers, and they serve rollover hot dogs... please sell ale

Or hanging out with the family, better than jogging for sure and more sociable.

Referring to the Ice Hockey in particular: The atmosphere doesn't quite live up to the hype that the arena got but it's still a great night out and would recommend anyone experience it.

Fabulous atmosphere for the whole match. Good facilities so would strongly recommend a visit on match day or for recreational skate.

I ve been to Cardiff ring before and I had fun but I pulled a muscle back of my right and I was of getting lessons there once the COVID 19 cases drop down a bit.

First time ever watching ice hockey. It wont be my last. Great venue with an electric atmosphere. Good fun for all the family. Highly recommend

Good venue. Decent snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Parking can be limited.

Pay a fee and it closes at 6 pm, ice skating until you can't skate anymore.

Saw my first ice hockey game here, it was very exciting.

No public WiFi and toilets out of order today. Two rinks one is the arena the other for messing about on.

What an amazing trip ! 1st ever visit to the Ice Hockey and wasn't disapointed.We took our daughter as part of a birthday weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
