I ordered the crab cake sandwich reg, not the premium, it was delicious as were the hush puppies!! May go back for the Fri. night buffet...it looked amazing!!

Service was terrific. Carrie was our waitress and did a tremendous job. Crabs were great and steamed shrimp were great also.

I didn't Iike the place too expensive and the food was not good it all to me. I will not visited them again.

The smell in the parking lot is horrible. Dead seafood? Crabs were delicious! Salad bar was not refilled very quickly. Our waitress 'Anne' was wonderful!

This place is home to me. Crab season, you know you can count on finding me here. The food is amazing as is their service.

Finally got my JUMBO CRABS!!!! And they were Delicious....

This place is a joke. I ordered the Surf and Turf and chose as my surf the Original Crab Cake Imperial Crab. They tell me it s a mistake on the menu and it s actually two items. How come there are separate lines with Imperial Crab and Original Crab Cake in the list of surf items? She told me there must have been a mistake copying and pasting. How is that my problem? You should honor your menu! Well, Captain John s, you lost a $35 sale. The waitress couldn t answer any questions about the beers.

Heck Yeah! Hey Captain! It was and is still worth the drive! My suggestion is if you live outside of Waldorf to plan accordingly. Leave home early, hangout in the area to avoid the traffic. Now... We went because of a Facebook Ad special. Hot Dang! LoL.
All you can eat crabs, they have a Seafood buffet and I had my first beer too (smiles) Crabs were juicy, hot and tasty. French fries were all seasoned and yummy. The music was bop-to-able and the Staff was very attentive and quick! Loved it. I Will be back because, this was a great time out with friends and all the other customers were like Family.

Reminds me of the old Chesapeake Bay Seafood House Back in the day!

They are good but I don't like the fact that you can't share your meals. If its not all you can eat then you should be able to share. I'll stay with Captain Billy's.

Crabs was amazing and you get all you can eat hush puppies with your all you can eat Crabs so that was definitely a winner lol

Was very disappointed as I have drove 45 minutes just to tell me that they had no crab legs no crabs will never return off-season.

ABSOLUTELY Delicious Crabs, nice & hot EVERY time when served & our waiter provided EXCELLENT service & the Atmosphere was GREAT! This is most DEFINITELY my All U Can Eat Go-To spot when I'm geeking crabs which is pretty frequent!!

It's not all you can eat all you can wait to eat. Other than not bad service.

It is obvious that there is a new cook in the kitchen.

Dingy place, buffet is all fried, high prices but it is seafood. Why 3 stars: both times I've had their crabcakes there was lots of shell in them.

Was rather disappointed with the crabs at Cpt Johns tonight. Wasn't much to them and they didn't crack the way they usually do. The last 2 crabs I had were the only 2 that had plenty of meat in them and came apart like they are supposed to. Oh well I am sure it was just a bad batch. The last time I ate there they were great. Better luck next time.

I only have a 4 due to crabs being out of season so they weren't AS good, but for them being out of season, weren't bad at all! Plus, all you can crabs are my FAV!! Service was good as well.

last night was the first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We had great time with the attentive service, with the first-rate cooking and wine and with the decent payment. We will absolutely come back in a short time.

Delicious fried seafood platter, attentive waitress, and enjoyable environment.

The food was awesome. The atmosphere was good. The service was horrible our waitress was the slowest one out of the bunch. I would go back as long as Ashley isn't our waitress again.

Great food. Of course it was a buffet, with all you could eat. Service was very good, especially considering how packed it was.

Service was slow at first had to change tables, but was much better after we moved.

Lori was very friendly and her service was impeccable. The crabs were on the small side but very meaty. Located on a secluded road along the waterfront and makes for a great date night spot!

This was a favorite restaurant of mine a few years ago. Wednesday night buffet is worth the price. However the crab prices are ridiculous. Staff the last couple times I sent seemed overworked and stretched thin.

Didn't live up to the hype but the crawfish are worth it

My family and I will never go back to this restaurant. We had to wait over an hour for our food to come, and in that meantime we probably saw our waitress twice. She seemed very overwhelmed and barely came to ask us how we were doing, possibly because her gratuity was already being applied to our table of 6+. Everyone who got the all you can eat got their food but if you didn t get that, they had to wait an additional 20 minutes after already waiting for an hour. Then the food came out cold and we were told the kitchen was backed up. When our uncle asked for the manager he then came out and immediately was telling him to calm down and then proceeded to say he will call the cops if he didn t. Our uncle was trying to voice his concern with the quality of the food and that he wasn t going to pay for it due to it being cold and the crabs had barely any meat in them. He eventually left because he was so upset. 10 out of 10 would not recommend this place.

Fantastic view. Good food and kind service. Take window seat for your 120% enjoy.

Just came in yesterday to celebrate my cousins 107th birthday. We had a party of over 20 people and we were all taken care of promptly. Big shout out to our waitress Anna whom was wonderful. The food came out fast and was good for everyone. Superb service. Thank you.

A great and friendly environment. My favorite place to get crabs. Best softshell sandwich in MD!

Waited an hour to be seated. Then over an hour for the food. There are very few vegan options and the salad bar is very unkempt. The only good thing I have to say is the waitress was very nice.

Was a beautiful day trip from Richmond, & the steamed crabs we're EXCELLENT!!! Great company with my Sis in tow also, Betty Walker!

Everyone must try their crabcakes, they are to die for. My brothers said the chicken tasted fresh, personally raised and well seasoned. The food was delicious and fresh!!! Enjoy the trip!!! Rating super ceeds 100%.

It's a place big enough for events and yet there was a homey feel to it. The service crew were courteous, warm and efficient! The best part was the crabs itself- really be good, cooked just right with the seasoning not overpowering the delicious fresh sweet taste of the crabs! The mussels were also superb- good sauce and all large.. The steamed shrimps were perfect with the red sauce.. would definitely come back and try their other dishes.Altogether a wonderful day to end the day. Worth the trip!

Place was amazing, the hostess was a pretty young girl and there was a little wait and nasty customers but she handled them perfectly with kindness, such a perfect way to handle it, food was amazing and so was our waitress

No reservations, very expensive, blah tasting food in a dirty setting, save your money

This place was awful. My family and I visited on July 4, 2016. The floor was absolutely nasty. The air conditioning unit (vent) leaked on us. Our food was cold. The service was terrible. Our waitress was very rude and her red T shirt was beyond filthy! I wish I could attach photos to show how nasty this place was during my visit. Unfortunately, I simply can not recommend this place.

Through everything going on, they provided fantastic customer service. The food was delicious and great outside view. Enjoyed crabs, steamed shrimp, stuffed flounder, hush puppies and tasty drinks. Definitely will be making another visit very soon

Good quality fresh seafood. Friday night buffet has everything you want.
