Overall sales was easy... Service department is not very communicative with repairs, nor are they very active on status of parts or repair completion. overcharge for labor and slow on repairs!

Peter was awesome !! I have never owned a wave runner so I had a ton of questions. He took the time to answer them all. When we picked up the wave runner, Peter took the time to explain everything. From the use of the machine, safety, even the best spots to take it and enjoy. The price was very fair, for the quality of machine purchased. Would not hesitate to buy another machine from Peter or Capital Yamaha.
took them weeks longer to repair my bike than they stated. Then retuned the bike with oil leaks it never had, lights not working and chrome parts in a box they could not remember of find where they went. This is a Royal Star Classic made by Yamaha. At best they are inept . Another shop in town had to repair what they messed up costing me 800 bucks more. GO ANY PLACE BUT HERE.
Came in to Capitol Yamaha to grab some dirt bike gear, and some tires Colby was a huge help with finding everything I needed and getting me the best bang for my buck. Thanks
I'm not too young to really appreciate a good parts counter, and Colby does a great job, especially as a rising AFM racer, getting the right parts for my 09 R6 is easy with cap Yamaha. Pete is an awesome salesman and Lisa does a great personal job with marketing! My only small suggestion is to stock more parts but I understand the cost associated with that for a shop.
Colby and the Capitol Yamaha team are simply the best. They will take the time to make sure you are comfortable and are educated about any purchases!
Julie was awesome went above and beyond to get me what I needed. She deserves a raise!
Definitely one of my go to places and the team is awesome! Everyone there are nice and very helpful but I usually prefer Jordan. The guy hooks it up and knows what I m looking for.
Pete, the sales manager, went above and beyond in not only getting me a nice deal on a new side by side but in helping to sell my old one. They don t take trade ins but for a really reasonable fee he offered to not only list it but store it and handle the paperwork. A big relief as he knew I was going to be out of town a lot this summer. Pete and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to deal with.
I was able to locate a carb kit for an old bike [91' XT600] cheaper and faster than any online store had available and no wait from CHINA..
The sale was simple and complete. Peter was perfect. Our 5th purchase over the years and will buy again. Thanks, Glen.
UPDATE:
Well Capitol Yamaha and Pete took care of me. Sold me a new bike at a great price. After shopping other local Yamaha dealers and either getting the run-around or ignored, the staff at Capitol went out of their way to earn me as a customer for life. Thanks again and already planning the next bike purchase..
My brother took his bike to this place yesterday for a new rear tire. When he picked the bike up there was grease all over the place including a big handprint on the seat. After cleaning the grease, he found dings and scratches and dents all over the pipes, rim, and body/paint damage. If you care about your bike, dont let these guys touch it!
Great helpful staff, Matt B assisted me instantly found the parts I needed, ordered them and I was in and out in minutes thanks Matt!
Never good when you pick up a bike after a 2 week service with more problems than you arrived with. Another week at the shop and I now have to personally repair problems that "coincidentally" happened while in their control. When I asked service manager how he would rate this service, he replied that they "did everything I asked." I would agree and they even threw in stripping screws and breaking the speedometer. Their response to the non- functioning speedometer, "it is not a safety issue." I guess traction control is not a safety feature since it works of the same speedometer circuit and is now disabled. I welcome Captol Yamaha to contact me to correct this disservice but I believe their actions have already spoken to how they care for customers.
Sadie was knowledgeable and encouraging..I am looking forward to that v star 950 thanks to her positive and helpful attitude.
I had a great experience with the parts staff. They were very helpful and they had what I needed in stock!
I had Peter as my salesman he was very helpful kind inconsiderate and very knowledgeable. The other staff that I dealt with in parts department very helpful and friendly. Maintenance department supervisor very helpful and showing me how to operate and where everything was in my new UTV. Thanks guys you're the greatest. Joe Latona
Jordan was a big help on making sure I got my part I been Waiting for he took initiative and made it happen
Pete and the staff are very professional. They helped me get ready for my first bike with no worries. Best experience I have had on my search for a motorcycle.
I bought my 2018 Beta 300 RR from here a year ago. I want to say I never give reviews but Capitol Yamaha, have frankly earned mine.
Beta warrantied my forks due to a very small batch issue with some of the very first 2018's, which resulted in the end with Beta replacing my 2018 forks with 2019 forks. I had Capitol Yamaha do the labor real quick for me. Come to find out my old fork guards do not work on the newer 2019 forks. The new 2019 fork guards are on back order. Beta although were gracious enough to warranty me the forks, likely missed this hiccup.
I was going to end up not having fork guards and riding single track. That is just begging for destruction. I was sweating not riding for works or even months due to this.
Capitol Yamaha, unbelievably allowed me to buy at cost fork guards off one of their own floor model 2019 bikes. I couldn't believe it. They risked who knows how long until Beta isn't back ordered to have that floor model bike just sitting there without fork guards, to make it right with me on behalf of Beta.
Truly unbelievable service. I am blown away and so thankful for their generosity. I am so happy I chose them as my dealer and I will be back.
Side note. I live 2 hours away from them, they have always been very accommodating with my drive time and schedule. They have never rushed me to be there first thing in the morning for an appointment. I did the BYOB program from Beta through them and they received and set up my bike perfectly and timely. The buying process was friendly and smooth. If you're looking for a Beta and you live far away, I would encourage you to choose them for your dealer destination.
I have been to Capitol Yamaha shopping several times and everyone was always friendly and helpful.
Clerk was quick to come ask us what we were looking for and get us the right tool.
Customer service was not good. I always felt like they didn't have time for me.
Came in for a new rear tire they hooked it up I had it installed that day also ordered a air filter got oil on multiple occasions they re always very helpful and knowledgeable Kevin Florez is awesome really knows his stuff and super helpful and patient
Nice people !! I've been a customer since 1980!! Its nice to be able to goto a place you can trust!
This place will not get another penny from me. Second part I've ordered in 2 months, and the second part ive had to wait 2 weeks longer then what I was told when the order was placed. Could have got the part for about 10$ cheaper online but Cap City Yamaha said they could have it in a week, and most anything you order online takes longer than that. that was almost 2 weeks ago. wouldnt be a big deal if my motorcycle wasnt my only transportation at the moment. if I would have ordered it thru amazon, for almost 10$ cheaper it would have been here by now and I wouldnt have to find rides to and from work everyday. Thanks Cap City Yamaha for straight up lying to me and causing me to go thru so many changes the last 2 weeks. Wish I could give no stars.
My experience at Capitol Yamaha was very pleasant the guys were quick to help me with my needs which is very appreciated good job guys..
Peter is the best. He does what he says he will do. Always fair.
I came to Sacramento to see my sister at the hospital from the bay area. Half way up here my brand new Yamaha R3 got a blown tire. I called the store to see if the tire is available and can it be repaired. Kevin at the store said it can be done. I have the bike towed to the shop and it was done within the hour. Thanks to Kevin and big thank to the guy with a full beards who repair the bike. Sorry I forgot your name.
Used to be my favorite shop but mechanic quality and customer service seems to have gone down in the last few years while prices are up. $6400 bike cost additional $2000 out the door. Apparently they don't include their dealer markup or delivery fee which seems deceptive. Anyways I got the same brand new bike elsewhere for about $1200 less out the door even though the advertised price was higher. Also Pete was a very rude, pushy salesman. Last time I went here to get an oil change they complained about taking the fairings off, and they would charge me $100 more next time. Seems unprofessional for them to not know that about their own brands motorcycle, and I had to top up the oil when the light came on the next day. No leak just underfilled.... needless to say I'll take my bikes to a more competent shop if I'm too lazy to do my own work
Always a great place to deal with. Especially Colby in parts!
Just purchased a new R1 from Capitol in July. As always, a great experience! Pete is awesome! Always great to deal with. No BS like I ve experienced with some dealers. Great inventory and Dave and the rest of the guys in Parts & Service are very helpful and knowledgeable!
Capitol Yamaha is my dealer!
Pete has been a pleasure to work with. His knowledge of the business and the brand far surpasses anyone else I have done business with in the industry.
I placed a phone order for a clutch lever holder... $9.00, on Saturday, got that baby on Monday via UPS. Ya Hoo. I appreciated the fact that expedience was given to my $9.00 part and got me back in the seat. It was a small parts order worth a few bucks but I was provided service which was priceless. Thanks
Jordan is a good parts guy always recommends top tier parts
They are very helpful , a lifeline for my motorcycles, and knowledgeable too.
Unbelievable customer service from Jordan Miracle! Got me all lined up and had all my parts ready for me when I came in to pick up a new bike. Best service I ve had.
Outstanding sales team. Knowledgeable service techs and a very broad inventory. Bought my bike here and I trust only these guys to take care of it.
Good service and they honor veterans with military discounts, thank you. Clean place, good selection of toys and supplies.
DO NOT TRUST
They charged me for clutch. Took them over 6 months. Yamaha Headquarters USA paid for me to take bike to another Yamaha for inspection. The clutch they charged me for was not in my bike! DO NOT TRUST!!!
Owner Dana owns Honda Motorsports Roseville also... js
Just bought two awesome dirt bikes at Capitol Yamaha. Pete and Harley are true Professionals, not just Salesmen. They answered a ton of questions, got me the best deal, gave me great ideas about places to ride; they treat their customers like family.
I have been a customer at capital Yamaha for my 2005 and 2003 Yamaha r1's I have been very displeased with my experience overall it cost me a lot of money and only got a rear tire done the bill was 500 bucks just for my parts and they said bring the bike back to service and they will do my chain and sprocket sat there I agreed at this time I left my bike for a period of about a week when I called nothing had been done to my bike after me sounding displeased over the phone they hopped right on it though they were quick to call me back to let me know that they would not work on my bike due to the fact of exhaust issues granted I do have cut off exhaust and it is just one more thing on the list of things to do on my bike they called up and they attempted to rack up another $1500 worth of bills on my bike I told them I did not want them to do anything else my bike except put on the rear tire still cost me $100 just to install that and remove the front tire and turning around it was not removed from the room it was just removed from the bike and turned around I pick up my parts and my bike after a few days go by I decide I'm going to do the job that I said I would do I remove my rear tire I cut my rear chain the old one that is . As I go to put on my new sprocket that I ordered from them I see that it is the wrong sprocket for my bike they tell me I have an aftermarket her and that's why it does not fit maybe so I'm OK with that I'm OK with getting the sprocket right returning it and them getting the part right but that is not what they told me I am told that they will not return the part and that I must buy a new one at this point I'm pretty much fuming very quiet thinking to myself I will never do business with them again as it turns out I now have to buy a new sprocket and a new chain because I kept my old chain off and in order to do my sprocket conversion it will require me buying a new chain thank you capital Yamaha for taking care of your customers I will never see you again
Super friendly service dept. Found me a tire and installed it with a smile.
Ronan at the parts counter was very knowledgeable and helpful
The smart way to do business is Capitol Yamaha of Sacramento
Thank you,
Adam @ A&C Marine
Great service, thanks to Julie. Knowing she's a fellow Yamaha rider, I knew I'd get the right part I needed for Raven, my 2017 FZ-10... extremely satisfied and would highly recommend them...THANKS!
People at the service department are full of bullshit and don't know a lot., trying to make me look stupid and prove me wrong telling me that my sleeved cylinder is not sleeved but it's plated, telling me trust me bro I've been doing this for a long time. Goes into details explaining me something they have no clue what they're talking about. Guy at the front desk in service dept tries to tell me that 2 Strokes rev higher than 4 Strokes and that my 360 2 stroke revs at least to 15 - 16 rpm hahaha. Don't dare to correct them cuz he'll make you feel like a dumbass.
Great dealership with great customer service. They don't hound you or anything. The service guys are awesome also with very reasonable prices. Great place.
One of the salesmen insulted me on my choice of motorcycle. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, thanks.
Since the store is close to ARC I end up stopping by often and picking up gear and bike parts that I need and don't need. Had both of my bikes serviced here, both of which weren't Yamaha bikes. They do service relatively quickly, I highly recommend them for servicing any motorcycle.
Best service I've had with any mechanic. Ever.
Whenever I bring a bike or car into a shop I usually get told to wait or go away until my vehicle is ready. The mechanic that helped me this time was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. His name was Tyler by the way. As he was changing out some parts and checking all my fluids he had no problem breaking it down for me step by step and told me what things I should buy and could easily install myself. All while not skipping a beat of work and smiling. I'll be returning to this shop for everything I need for my bike. Thanks again Trevor. Your attitude and help made a big difference.
My first time there. It's a small clean well organized showroom. Everybody was busy which was perfect for me.
Awesome sales team, seamless transaction on the Beta 300 RR purchase. Justin in the service department is extremely knowledgeable for Beta aftermarket parts, very easy to deal with and patient. Thank you
Horrid. Ripped my friend off $2000.00 worth of work! Should act pro and take care of your mistakes!
A Yamaha dealership that works, but not as impressive as ones in other states... Idaho's was great. Must be the people.
I did not catch the name of the young gentleman who helped me in the parts department but he was very friendly and efficient. Thanks also go to a very polite fellow patron who let me go ahead with my single item transaction. Very nice of him. As usual, overall a nice experience at Capitol Yamaha!
Just bought my first motorcycle from them. A 2017 Yamaha FZ-10. They gave me an amazing deal and there was no messing around. Riding out on my first motorcycle was a pretty great experience. They let me scoot around the parking lot a bit before I got out on the street. Nobody bothered me by trying to tell me what to do but they made me feel comfortable with all of it. They even offered to follow me on one of their bikes.
By the time I got home all I could think was what a great experience I had. No haggle pricing, quick sit down for papers, meet the guys in the shop, get my keys, go... I'm already planning on bugging them for accessories and such. Trying to get through my break-in period so I'm sure I'll be seeing them for service soon. I'm usually worry about service departments but their guy (Rich) gained my trust right away.
Another thing worth mentioning was the speed in which they responded to me. I had sent emails to a few Yamaha shops asking for quotes. One which I had recently visited in person. Capitol Yamaha (Pete) responded within just a couple of minutes, another shop responded almost a day later, and a third finally responded while I was buying the bike. The place closest to my house (the one I visited) hasn't even gotten back to me yet and I'm on my second day with the new bike.
They didn't just sell me a motorcycle. They got a good customer too. I'll start with them for parts/accessories and I wouldn't even think of going to a different shop for service.
Great people. Very helpful. I have bought a few bikes and gear there. Ask for Pete, the GM.
Honestly hands down best service in Sacramento. I've been a customer since 2016 when I bought my 8th bike, a brand new R1. They are very helpful in all aspects to get you riding and keep you riding.
Wanted to purchase a motorcycle and pretty much knew what I wanted before I even came in, at first there is no acknowledgement, but I wouldn't mind that since the workers are nice. Went with an FZ-07 and Pete helped me with the purchase, all paperwork went very smooth and easy. Even in parts department, great with customer service and not too steep with pricing depending on what exactly you re getting.
Great service at a shop that is passionate about riding, not just making a sale.
One of the worst customer services ever
I went there to pick up an oil filter and oil for my bike's oil change and after waiting at the counter for 10 mins like an idiot i just left.
The guy behind the counter, i think his name was Mike didnt even acknowledge me. He was two feet away from me and he didnt ask me if he can help with something or anything. At first he was with somebody on the phone so I waited for him to be done but after getting off the phone he just walked off and went in back and just start talking to some other guy and then he comes back and at that point im still standing there and he does some paper work and then again goes to the back and start talking. Then i just left. I've seen some bad customer service but they by far take the no. 1 place. Wont ever go back again to them.
This has to do with the corporation of Yamaha.
If you get a lemon, Yamaha will fight you for over a year. They will stress you and your dealer but not offering to do what correct. In Cali, one attorney has 3 slam dunk cases. And no resolution yet.
Yamaha will force it into trail. Mean while we have a unsafe, or non operating back your paying for.
I bought a bike, 1000 miles and 4 weeks it went down. And the dealer tried hard. Now they are at a loss.
Suck because Yamaha offers wonderful bikes. But as a consumer, with warranties, lemon law, whatever, there is no protection
Amazing service & knowledge from Julie at the parts counter! Best spot to buy tires too!
I believe the service and pricing could have been much better. In good conscience, I can recommend going somewhere else to purchase motorcycles and motorcycle parts.
Julie was fantastic, I worked with Peter and Justin too but Julie is the true rockstar.
Rich is amazing. From the very beginning I started working with him he was super knowledgeable and kept me in the loop throughout the repair of my bike. The shop got my FJR 1300 fixed quickly and they did awesome work. I could not be happier with my experience.
I went in to check out the kids quads after work. Pete in sales helped me out. He's a great guy and gave me exactly the kind of info I needed regarding all the laws etc. on quads for my 6yo daughter. It was a big help. I highly recommend both Capitol Yamaha and Pete for any of your motorcycle needs.
Solid selection of inventory, the people here are great.
Sale rep was nice, but they don't sell cruisers anymore, what a bummer...
