Capitol Lakes Review

I was here for rehab after abdominal surgery. The place is wonderful! Great physical therapy and nursing staff and the food is excellent. I was almost unhappy to go home again.

a nurse stole my iphone and then proceeded to blame it on my grandmother who is too ill to know that her own family is even there with her.. THANKS CAPITOL LAKES. (sarcasm)

My father is currently at this facility, and we cant wait to get him moved.
in the middle of whats happening with Covid 19 and not being able to visit , you'd think we'd be better informed.
The mis communication or lack of is horrible . I would not recommend this rehab place to anyone.

This is a wonderful retirement facility, where my mother resides. It includes senior housing, assisted living and a nursing home, all on site. The apartments are beautiful, and includes full kitchens, wood flooring, central heating and a/c, dishwasher and disposal, in unit washer and dryer and some units with a gas fireplace. There are 3 separate dining facilities, a hair salon, a fully equipped gym with 2 pools and a hot tub and entertainment provided almost every night. Best of all, it is about 2 bocks off the square. Don't miss this.

$7000/mo and you can't even have a decent visit with your loved one who is trapped inside the facility due to current events. The staff seems to just want to dope the patients up as much as possible so they don't have to do so much work. Very disappointed with this facility.

There are many reasons why I am familiar with nursing homes / rehab centers in the Madison area including my wife's career was as a nurse and administrator of nursing homes; I have a sibling who is a patient in skilled nursing; and recently I was a rehab patient in two area centers.

Capitol Lakes Skilled Nursing Care and Rehabilitation is exemplary model for nursing care, rehabilitation and food service. Regardless of their position, each nursing staff member truly cares for the patients - as though they were family - and staff treats all patients with respect; and is there when needed. The physical therapists are very knowledgeable; they are sensible and friendly motivators, that is, they know when to push the patients and when to ease up; and they, too, treat you with dignity and respect. The meals are exceptionally good, that is, flavorful, well prepared, and delivered hot. The patient is offered a variety of choices for each meal and you cannot go wrong. And you will not go wrong if you choose Capital Lakes skilled nursing or rehabilitation.

I had rehab last year after a month long hospital stay. I was very well taken care of during my stay. The
physical rehab was top notch, the staff were warm and welcoming and I feel very fortunate to have my rehab at such a 5 star facility.

Stayed here for rehab and it was wonderful and would and recommed it. I went there by a friend telling me that she stayed there and loved it

OMG!!! My neighbors father in law was here this past year and I heard such horror stories of his stay there and how the family had to get him the hell out of there. They had told me of a nursing care facility that he was at before he passed away of cancer but never the name of it. So when my Dad now needs a rehab center after his leg amputation and they heard that our hometown EMT recommended Capital Lakes because his grandma is there I had no idea that there could be two totally different cases in the same company. Yes all your reviews are great but this blew me away!!! So no I am not taking sides and no I am not visiting and no I am not sending my Dad to you either! So if there are bad experiences happening there i should think that you are willing to let the family of Peter Nelson Deforest WI know that action was taken on all the staff that left him there with mouth sores, poop in every in of his bed, including that the room react of it too, plus a few close rooms with other patients were having the same issue. Even the staff was asked to help their family members and were bluntly told off and said they were to over worked to get to everyone. No these are not lies because the wife ( Bonnie ) should have turned you all in even if it was an isolated incident to become public knowledge. My friend has stage four cancer. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and caring. Facility very clean and pleasant.
