This is by far the best pizza in Lubbock, and the best pizza I've probably ever had. Their ingredients are fresh, and they have some really interesting pizza specialties. The place itself is really cool, and a great place to get a beer and watch some sports. Their beer selection is also pretty impressive.

Our first time at Capital Pizza & it did not disappoint! The cheese bread was awesome!! Especially with the marinara!! We got a large Big One pizza & it easily fed 5 adults & we even took home a slice. Service was fast & friendly. The place was a little crowded when we got there. After we sat down they opened up another room, but we stayed where we originally had sat. I will definitely make this one of my stops any time I come to Lubbock.

I am a fan of One Guy From Italy (University Ave, Lubbock,TX) and I never miss going there for a slice every time I visit Lubbock. This time, I went to Capital Pizza as it was highly recommended by many TTUHSC students. Well, it is a tough choice indeed... bottom-line is, pizza dough is soft and better tasting at Capital Pizza but they are skimpy on meat and vegetables. One Guys Pizza on the other hand has lot more quantity of meat and vegetables and tastewise, it is equal to Capital Pizza. We had to wait 30 minutes to get a table at Capital Pizza!!!

This is locally owned. The pizza is gloriously delicious. The recipes are unique and fun to try. It s a local place with a small staff so you may need to have some patience. Came here for dinner with the family while we were visiting Lubbock and we're extremely pleased. Restaurant is large - there's a lot of seating. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. The cheese bread is delicious and the marinara sauce on the side is the Best! We ordered 1/2 carnivore & 1/2 spinach Alfredo and it was Good!

Not a good company to work for, bad management, bad communication, not organized, unprofessional. Disappointed I will no longer be dining there due to bad management. Been a loyal customer for years, and letting a good worker slip through the cracks because of bad management is just upsetting.

My experience was pleasant. I went during lunch and there wasn't a wait. I had a calzone and it was perfect. The pizzas look pretty good as well. They have daily drink specials on their website. Happy hour all day on Monday and Saturday.

A definite hidden gem. I just stumbled across this place one day in Tech Terrace and decided to stop in for lunch. The dough and the toppings for their pizzas are phenomenal. The atmosphere of the place fits right in for the Tech Terrace neighborhood.

This is a locally owned and started in the Tech Terrace location. The location itself is hard to access because of limited parking and a terrible pothole filled parking lot. The restaurant was clean and inviting but when I walked in one employee walked off and the bartender kind of starred at me for a second before greeting me. We got a Capital Carnivora and a White Pie. The pizza itself had a great sauce which was not to sweet or salty and still tasted like tomatoes! I was not impressed with the quality of ingredients that went into the pizza . Cheese seemed processed and the meats on the pizza were all of low quality. This brings me to the crust... I am not big on chewy crusts specially ones that are tough and give you a cramp in your jaw after eating 2-3 pieces. The White Pie saved this from being a lower starred review because it unlike like the Carnivore was great and creative with the ricotta cheese and salted crust.

I seriously don't know what they put in their pizzas but it's exceptionally good that I can almost account every pizza place that I've been to in Houston and say this by far comes out on top.

Me, the bf and his roommates came here and ordered the Buffalo Chicken and Thai Curry Chicken Basil specialty pizzas. I didn't favour the Buffalo Chicken as much as I wanted to because I just wasn't a fan of the buffalo flavouring but the Thai Curry Chicken Basil, oh goodness, it was like orgasm in my mouth! It was so good within each bite that I my heart skipped a beat each time I bit into a slice. And the crust? Oh my lord, it was so fluffy and good that I didn't need any other sauce to dip it in like the other pizzas :)

Capital Pizza is a cozy place to enjoy a very good pizza and an adult beverage or two. The atmosphere is very friendly and the wait staff is always available to get you anything you need. The food and drink are top notch, but the parking is limited, so get here early to ensure that you can find a parking spot. This is a place we will be returning to time and time again.

Their pizza is absolutely delicious and their cheese bread with marinara sauce is to die for! I have to start with this appetizer every time I go. The oven cooks it perfectly so the cheese is nicely melted and starts crisping in spots while the marinara is excellently seasoned and the perfect match for this dish.

I apologise for the plain one star review that the manager (I am guessing) replied so violently to. You mention in your response that my account has a lot of one star reviews but fail to notice a greater number of five or four star reviews. I will elaborate on what made me unhappy about my visit yesterday.

I came to Capital Pizza at 8:50 and me and my date sat at the bar. The bar was dirty and remained dirty until the bartender gave us a roll of paper towels and we cleaned up the space in front of us. After waiting for some time the bartender asked us what we wanted to drink and left for at least ten minutes. It really shocked me, seemed like "I know what you want but I am not giving it to you" type of situation even though she was standing right between us and the beer fridge. I mentioned that the beer I ordered was from my favorite brewery (left hand brewery) and I would really appreciate it if she mentioned that Capital Pizza had some of their seasonal brews as well (I didn't notice them initially and didn't feel like waiting another hour after I finished my first glass). I understand that is not a must, but that would be something I would call good service.

As I mentioned before, we we're sitting at the bar at 8:50 and were ready to order right away since we come to this place often. We only saw our food at 9:55, which in my opinion is an unreasonably long time for a calzone and a salad. The calzone was cold when we got it, and that's not the kind of food that's good both hot and cold. Waiting for our food so long and getting it cold made for a bad experience. We felt like that wasn't worth paying as much as we did.

I really don't appreciate the manager/owner attacking me for an honest expression of my opinion. I understand your frustration since I didn't write a comment on my review, but you could ask for it in a more polite manner.

You mention that you strive to make your restaurant better, but I am FAR not the first person to be unhappy about the service, a great number of reviewers mention good pizza and bad service, so it seems like you have done nothing to address this (often mentioned) issue so far.

Our pizza dough was raw I showed the waitress that it was raw. I talking raw dough under the toppings. She threw the ticket at our table. When she came to get the our card to pay for the pizza she would not look at us. My husband being the nice man he is even left her a tip. Never offered an I'm sorry or how can I make this right. It was terrible. We had ordered the rabbit pizza.

Nice balance of crust vs toppings, and isnt drowning in sauce. Was a bit more on the bill than expected, but when we had to roll each other out because we were so full, the price was worth it. Will be going regularly. Pies from meat extreme to whats meat. Even as a "meatatarian" the meat and gluten free pizza was awesome. Never thought I would embrace a pizza dough made of cauliflower but you gotta try it.

Club sandwich with the jalapeno mayonnaise. Excellent. Cool atmosphere, a bar and grill in the Tech Terrace shopping district, next to J & B Coffee. Close to TTU, Tech Terrace business zone is a hidden gem in Lubbock. A relaxing, friendly vibe, generally, but on game day the area is buzzing with excitement. Where the locals go...worth checking out when in Lubbock.

Visiting Lubbock over the weekend, I happened upon this spot while searching for some good restaurants. It's absolutely fantastic with a great bar and very attentive staff. Lots of beer variety, clean, and it smells great from all the amazing pies being served! Got the Chicken alfredo spinach pizza, and my biggest problem with it was I got full but wanted more because it tasted so good. Very fresh, dough is spot on, toppings are fantastic. HIGHLY recommend!
