Excellent house marinara. We had the Capital's White Pizza and the Italian Calzone, both were delicious. The calzone had a good melding of flavors. The crust was soft warm and flakey it was perfect. The pizza was very mild and rich in flavor. Our waitress was quick and attentive and very polite.
Really enjoyed their pulled pork street taco pizza! Absolutely loved it!

This place is simply terrific. The minute you walk in the first thing you notice is that the place is clean and smells clean. The service is great and the food... OH MY GOD absolutely delicious. They have a wide assortment of beers and the prices are reasonable. The wife brought me out here last month and we've been out here every week since. Very family-friendly as well can't say enough good things about this place.

Waited nearly half hour after finishing meal for someone to come by to ask for check, after asking were still waited 15 more minutes while they stood around at end of bar. Waited 45 min for a $21 pizza that wasn't as good as the $5 walmart pizza. Unfortunate as we like the atmosphere.
**mgmt uses excuse of it being busy due to "game day". We arrived at 8:30 pm, approximately 5.5 hours after the game ended. Place wasn't that busy, and our waitress spent most of the 45 min we waited on bill standing at end of bar. It appears mgmt feels waiting 45 min to pay a bill while we watched our server/bartender standing at other end of bar ignoring us so we could leave is acceptable, as a customer I do not.
This place has really nice pizza. The ambience is good. You can get a sip of coffee at J&B and enjoy a nice delicious pizza here.
Love the food and most of the people are awesome. Knocking off a star though because the manager or owner came outside and told my friends and I we had to move further down to the other outdoor section like we were homeless people messing with customers or something. I was waiting on my to go order that I had already paid over $40.00 for. Seemed pretty rude to treat customers like that.

There are many great pizza places in Lubbock, but in my humble opinion this is just a phenomenal spot. Everything is fresh, from the dough to all the toppings. Great friendly staff, bar us well stocked. And it's open late. Cheers!!!

Went to lunch at Capital Pizza today for the sole purpose of comparing this to two other non-chain pizza places in Lubbock. I was pleased with the cleanliness and ambience of this gourmet pizza restaurant and grill. The service was excellent. However, I was the first customer of the day (11:30 a.m). Cannot speak to a more crowded environment. I ordered the small thin crust pepperoni. It was more than ample for one. I took half home for later. Plenty of cheese and enough pepperoni. First bite was a 'little' salty, but I thought overall it was very tasty. Great place for the college crowd....close to Tech and nearby coffee house. Would eat there again.
Capital Pizza is a stop we have to make every trip to Lubbock. Great service, cold drinks and tasty pizza.
Seriously underwhelming pizza that had a crust tasted like nothing but salt. Took almost 30 minutes to get a house salad that had so many black olives on it you could hardly see anything else and one little cup of watered down ranch dressing. Garlic bread was burned and tasted like card board. Our waitress seemed more interested in chatting it up with her co workers than making sure we had what we needed. Will never eat there again!

Service is slow, appetizer bread stick with sauce took more than 15 mins to come ! Imagine ! Starters snacks took more than 15 mins ! Save your money and go somewhere else ! Bcoz if you are hungry you have to count more than an hour to get your order !

To be honest, I give the pizza 5 stars but the confusing rules a zero. This works out to about 2.5 stars overall. I came in get take out pizza for my twins birthday party. I had my daughter with me and took a seat to wait. A manager inquired about my holstered open carry handgun. He expressed that the owner didn't allow guns in Capital Pizza. I had a calm conversation with him that the State of Texas requires proper placement of a 30.07 sign to keep lawful open carry out of the establishment. I offered to wait outside on the sidewalk while waiting for my pizza if he preferred. At this point he seemed confused and told me that I was welcome to stay inside with my gun until the pizza was ready. While waiting I admired their decorations of the 1824 Alamo Flag, the Come and Take It flag, and the large Don't Tread on Me flag. Needless to say, I had mixed messages. The pizza was great as usual. I still am unclear if they support Texas law or not.
Very good pizza. Nice atmosphere. Fresh taste, chewy yet crisp dough. Ingredients very good. Definitely not Chicago pizza, but they don't claim to be. 5 stars for what it is.

You can build your own pizza or salad. They have many different craft beers and my favorite mimosas which are next to impossible to get on a Friday night.
