I had a wonderful birthday high tea in the library /lounge area and I've also had lovely sandwiches here. Beautiful hotel! The Cape Grace also do Friday's in the bar area or you can sit outside overlooking the yachts having some snacks.

My wife arranged for high tea at the Cape Grace Hotel as a Birthday treat. We are travelling as Backpackers in South Africa for eight weeks so are carrying the minimum of amount of clothes so we thought our T shirts shorts and crocks may possibly be out of place in such a nice hotel. Far from it we were given a most warm welcome and shown to our table overlooking the harbour with a smile. The high tea was lovely an assortment of savouries, finger sandwiches, savoury scones with grated cheese and of course the mandatory fresh scones strawberry jam and thick cream. There were plenty of other sweet delicacies too. We started with a glass of fizz with the savouries then moved to the black tea which was served in a glass teapot with a glass tea strainer to hold the thickly cut tea leaves. The teapot stood on a glass base which was warmed by a burning candle. The whole ritual of making the tea was a joy to behold, lovely. We whiled away two hours eating, drinking and watching the boats and wildlife on the water. All in all a great Birthday treat. And thank you to all the pleasant and friendly staff for making it an afternoon to remember. Thank you all.

I always use this hotel for Clients. The Cape Grace is a beautiful hotel with highly trained and proffessional staff. The views of the harbour and table mountain from your bedroom is amazing. It will take a 2min walk to explore the V & A Waterfront.

We went to this hotel this past weekend to have afternoon tea, drinks and treats. The service was spectacular , the waiter from Zimbabwe, forgotten his name he was BRILLIANT he made sure we were comfortable.
The atmosphere at the Cape Grace is 'millionaire lifestyle'. Loved every second of it. Will definitely come again soon.

I would like to move in here!!!! Cape Grace is absolutely fantastic. I stayed here for 4 days and everything was above and beyond. I was in the 4th floor penthouse which is massive. It is beautifully decorated. It has a huge sitting area, table, 2 bathrooms, large bedroom and a massive walk in closet. It was clean and quiet in my room. The porch has a jacuzzi, some lounge chairs and another table. It faces the water way and wharf area. You can get nice sunset views! The staff all go above and beyond to make sure your stay is great. They are all friendly and everyone greets you as you walk around the hotel. I ate the breakfast everyday which was a delicious selection of pastries, yogurts, cereals, fruits etc. along with a hot menu which I tried the flap jacks (twice they were so good!) and the steak and eggs also excellent!! I would highly highly recommend the Cape Grace when staying in Cape Town!

The Cape Grace, although first class as well as world class, is reasonably priced with one of the finest bars I have ever visited -- the Bascule. With a view overlooking the V&A marina, the Bascule is a truly relaxing spot with good food and a wide choice of whiskeys. Although I have been to some of the best beach bars in the Caribbean, Seychelles, Mallorca etc, the Bascule remains one of my top 5 bars/restaurants in the world.

A beautiful setting right on the water. Head to the library for an experience of note. Savory and sweet delicious nibbles with choice teas. Relaxing, intimate and well worth the time spent there. Very much recommended
