Cauliflower Buffalo are a most try although maybe not a dish you have to get every time. Surprisingly good 'steak' made by beyond meats in their quesadilla and this I would be with frequency. Ravioli although pricey is quite good Good vibe mix of health concious and non presumptuous upscale as Is the crowd had a fun 6 table top to my right and a couple to my right. To the right were 3 pairs of Jewish doctors and their wives and to the my left was a lawyer but I never would have guess it by looking at them and only found out by overheard parts of conversation If you are curious as to their spice level. I determined that when my black waiter told me the food items I ordered were a little spicy he must have adjusted his spice level to the quite lacking pigment demographic in the room.

Mediocre. Not bad, not good. Coffee is meh, service is meh, food is meh. Seitan wasn't very crispy. I'm more astounded that there are better vegan places in Texas than in Manhattan. I'm not surprised there was no one in here when I walked in during brunch time on Sunday. If they want to survive, I suggest they go shadow the people at Spiral Diner in the Dallas Fort Worth area and really figure out how Spiral Diner can be so successful in a pretty much non-vegan environment and this Manhattan joint is just lacking.

My favorite vegan restaurant hands down. Calm cozy atmosphere, it's almost impossible not to spark up a good convo with all the creative recipes and options on the menu. As a beginner vegetarian, this place gives me hope that I can stick to it.

I have been eating at Candle Cafe since they opened and this quite a while ago. On a recent visit I had one of the best meals I've had there. It's great that a busy established restaurant cares as much as they do about the quality of the food and there loyal diners.

Hands down, best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. At first, I thought the menu was slightly pricy; turns out it was worth it. We got the quesadilla to share to start with -- that's some of the best vegan cheese I've come across. My dairy-eating dining companion said he couldn't tell the difference from real cow's cheese. We inhaled it. He got the lasagna, which was amazing. I got the mac n cheese burger with fries, and I can say it's the best burger I've ever had, vegan or non-vegan. Cheese was spot on, burger even tasted like a burger. Finished it all off with a chocolate mousse cake, and again, you couldn't even tell it was vegan. If you hadn't told me it was vegan, I never would have known. Came back again the next day and got the brownie sundae, which was yum. I'm only here in NYC for a couple days, but if I lived here, I'd be a regular.

I ordered the French toast. I received two slices of warm bread and a tiny cup of the nut cream for dipping. Nothing on bread. A touch of yellow on the center of each slice. Chef and waiter forgot maple syrup and so did I. Terrible. When I asked waiter why they did not make French toast with ehh replacement and he could not care less. He added oh yes we forgot the syrup. Coffee was good I am a frequent customer of Candle on 79 st

The food is still good but the quality of servers has gone downhill ..and the amount of fruit flies on the wall made me itch. I counted over 30 and told the server who did nothing about it..didn t even alert the manager..they obviously don t care I ve been a customer for years but sadly won t be back any time soon unless they make drastic, necessary changes: clean up the joint and hire better staff...no shortage of good people who actually want these jobs.

Candle cafe is, at the very least, a magical place. For vegans, or simply those who are seeking to follow a healthier lifestyle, this place is a must-visit. Many people think that vegan has to mean healthy and tasteless. While this cafe is healthy, their food is beyond delicious. One of my favorites is their take on lasagna. It was layered beautifully with vibrant colors and beautiful presentation. I did not feel even slightly deprived and my dinner date was also enamored with her dish, a fantastic barbecue sandwich. Their fresh drinks are also amazing and you can almost literally feel the goodness going into you. After a meal there you will feel energized and ready to go! Their ambiance is also fantastic, as there is an intimate, cozy vibe with spectacular lighting. A great place for a date, or to catch up with a good friend!

Always going to give above than usual ratings to veggie/vegan places - so theres my bias! This place has a nice organic-trendy farm - vibe going for it. Service is good for the most part and food is good to enough for "die-hard" meatheads to change things a bit ;)

I had to double take on this place's grade, review and it's pictures. I ordered Mediterrian Salad with tofu topping. It was the one of worst customer service and qualify salad. The quality of salad was prepackaged take out, not a restaurant. I had to add some of toppings that was missing like feta cheese myself. I could go on the details but it could be short staff and quality due to July 4th week.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Kangho yet! This is legitamitely the best KBBQ that I've had in Flushing and usually always recommend this place to my friends for KBBQ. Granted, the prices are a little steeper than picnic

This is the first time I went to a vegan restaurant. The menu size was perfect, not too overwhelming and everyone on the staff was super attentive. It's a bit expensive, but such is life in NYC. I was a bit neutral on the food. It's the first time I ever had tempeh so I can't really compare it to anything else, but I'd certainly go back again.

Phenomenal meal. The food and the service were fantastic. If you have food allergies you will be safe here. They actually looked up all the ingredients for us just to be sure and they made recommendations that were wonderful to. Many staff came by the table to say hello to us and we were made to feel very welcome. The place is small and not cheap but if you get there early it is totally worth every penny. I will definitely be coming back.

This food was absolutely delicious. I got the dumplings to start and the Indian special that they had on that day. Both dishes were great. The atmosphere was very hip and lively, they also offered really great looking desserts but I was too full from dinner to get one. The only downside was it seemed just a bit on the more expensive side but overall worth it.
