Croissant was buttery and delicious, quiche was light and heavy at the same time and the scones made me think I liked scones more than I typically do. Service was a little on the impersonal side. Loved the decor. I'd certainly go back.

Had the fried oysters as an app light and flavorful dont ask me how something fried with a creamy sauce can be light because it can and was! The scallop entree tasted like fall in food form and the lamb crepes were even better !!!

Laurel was rude. Opened her greeting without saying hi, but to correct my mask. Then her tone and expression was not welcoming as she asked if I had a reservation. I m sure my business isn t needed, as the wait was 15 minutes. But your hostess made me and my wife choose another option on the Carytown strip. Unfortunately, I will discourage my friends from eating here.

Wonderful French restaurant. Highly recommend it. There is outdoor seating, but call for reservations. Nice bar, great menu with everything from apps to desserts. Sit on Cary Street, but also at the end of a great little shopping plaza. Nice to walk around and window shop

Awful tasting mussels! We returned the first batch as too many smelly ones and over cooked but then the second batch was just as bad! Always had great mussels until tonight! What a bummer that such a nice place we have enjoyed over yrs served such bad mussels!

One of the greatest restaurants in Richmond! Go to the bar during lunch for out of this world food specials. $6 at the bar will get you a burger on a freshly baked brioche bun, with your choice of cheese (cheddar, greyuere, or roquefort) accompanied by their famous french fries. $8 will get you an order of mussels and french fries. Go to Can Can if you want great atmosphere and delicious food.

I always enjoy the experience here. The vibe, the atmosphere, and the service are all just as important as the food. And on this beautiful day when will windows were open at the front of the restaurant, and being seated right there next to the sidewalk, it was even more enjoyable. And of course, I always have to bring home a fresh baguette after visiting Can Can.

The steak frites was mediocre at best. The steak, this meat must have been bought on sale cheap it's tough-also where are the peppercorns in the brandy peppercorn sauce. The fries, eh, ok. Ambiance, ok. They really put the effort into the cocktails if that s what you need this is the spot.

Good happy hour (at the bar only) - solid beer and wine selection. The best time to go is for breakfast pastries (authentic croissants and pain au chocolat) and quiche - go directly to the bar to order. Enjoy a seat on the patio or by the windows.

Can Can is a must-try Richmond dining experience. The atmosphere truly is fitting for the French cuisine. The wine, beer and cocktail selections wvast with both local and foreign pours available. Service was excellent; our waiter was prompt and professional. The beef bourguignon was exceptional as was the antipasto plate. Portions were very fair for the price. Highly recommend for a nice dinner in Carytown!

Closest thing you'll find to a French Cafe in RVA. Fun decor, menu is a combo of raw bar and bistro. The menu is fairly static, but if you're in the mood for what's there, they do a fine job. I have had a couple of memorable desserts there. Great bar if you just want to grab a sandwich and a drink, some outdoor seating, and the entire front of the place is open to the sidewalk in good weather.

And I thought customer service at Starbucks was bad. Even the delicious pastries are not enough to rescue Can Can s coffee house. Stopped by for a pastry and black coffee as a birthday treat this morning, and after waiting in a long line, I finally get to the register right as the clerk disappears. She reappears wordlessly, I place my order, again with not even a greeting, and wait even longer at the bar for someone to pluck my pastry out of a pile and pour my coffee in a cup. I wait so long that I am able to take, and complete, a business call. My croissant arrives plated, even though I requested to-go. When i ask the barista if i can have mine to-go, she dumps my coffee into a plastic cup, spilling half of it on the bar in front of me, and leaves me with a dripping 6oz mess. I guess I was expected to walk out with the croissant in my mouth, because no napkin or pastry bag appears...Apologies to whomever s table I shamelessly stole one off of...I won t ever be back to apologize in person.

The food at the Can Can is not bad at all. The restaurants owner Quang Kee made us a Chinese delicacy, fresh quail on toast with a side of mushrooms under glass. The Parkerhouse rolls were a sheer delight. They even had finger bowls at the end of the meal! Quang Kee is a much better proprietor than the former owner Ah Lum, Quang sure knows his stuff..

While they have a good breakfast that my family has gone to more than once before, this week we came here for an afternoon beer. Their tap list may be small, but still a few local ones. Also though, they have a few specialty bottles in an iced counter display like a Belgian Dubbel which I naturally got. We then took our bevs to their small outdoor patio to enjoy the sun and street. It definitely feels like a full on french restaurant

Fantastic lunch at Can Can. We got the lunch special which is a great deal $20 for a 3 course lunch. It is an even better deal given the incredible quality of the food. Notable highlights were the scallops, the lobster quiche, and the mussels. We ended with a selection of ice cream and sorbet. The salted caramel was one of the best scoops I've had. A great end to a fantastic meal.

I'm from out of town. I arrived 45 minutes before closing only to be told they're not serving food and that they usually stop serving 1h30m before closing. Looking at other reviews, I now wonder whether the thing about race is true.

Great place with a lovely atmosphere and great food. The one significant shortcoming are their french fries, a truly unfortunate, burned and covered in salt sidedish to otherwise delicious food!

Met some friends I hadn't seen in over a year. Absolutely the best service and awesome recommendations to the amazing salmon and harvest salad. Megan was very knowledgeable of different foods to order and drinks . Key lime ice cream was super. A little pricy for 1person but a treat every now and then is good.

WOW!! In full honesty I've never had a worse experience at a restaurant in my life. To start off, it took us 30 minutes just to get bread. On top of that we waited another 2 hours to get our main course. 4 members of my family ordered a steak dish( medium rare). Once the meat came it was clearly undercooked and borderline raw. After we let the waitress know the meat was not cooked to our liking, the manager came over and proclaimed that this was the restaurant's "medium rare" and the chef (who was the owner) refused to cook it anymore. It was then when there was a major problem at hand. We were thengiven an ultimatum from the manager : Either eat the steak how it was and get free dessert or box it up and pay for the full meal (which was not palatable). What ever happened to the customer always being right?....

Pretty good food but not incredible. For a French cuisine, I would expect a bit more. Perhaps it was what I ordered. The scallops as an appetizer and the truffle pasta with chicken added. Not a tone of flavors from the pasta. The scallops were delicious and I liked the sauce it was played with.

The front desk reception girl was as rude as they come! We had reservations but didn't like the table right at the front door waiting area in the open window with sidewalk people right at our elbows so we asked for the next choice. We were told if we didn't take THAT table we could wait a hour and a half for another when everyone else was seated!!!! My friend knew someone who worked there and asked him about another table and he immediately found one for us. That rude girl at the front desk should be FIRED!!! I've heard this before about the reception. Sounds like they don't want to replace her to me. 5/13/16 night at 7:15
