DO NOT EXPECT GOOD SERVICE!!! We were seated and sat for at least 10 minutes and not one person stopped at our table. No chips, no offer for drinks. In fact, not one person spoke to us. Several servers walked by our table and didn't say a word. We weren't even there during a busy time. Maybe 3 other tables were full. Very disappointing!!!
Someone call the health department. Do not eat here!
If you really like Mexican food for its authentic taste & flavors don't eat here! The waiter was awesome but the food wasn't. I wouldn't recommend it & I don't plan on going back.
Come check out the Christmas scene! So tacky that it's good. Lights and tinsel everywhere! Our server said the lights will stay up until around February.
The food I would only give 3 stars. It's not the best TexMex, but it's not bad. I had a chicken fajita salad. So try something more traditional maybe.
There was a line to be seated when I visited, but we only waited for about 10 minutes. Grab a drink at the bar to kill the time!
Among the seeming sameness of hundreds of Mexican restaurants in the Fort Worth area, Campo Verde brings a completely different vibe. If you think you've seen "over-the-top" Christmas decorations, rest assured you haven't until you've visited this out of the way place on the Fort Worth/Arlington border. And behind the mountains of tinsel, decorations, two electric trains, and enough lights to illuminate a dozen suburban homes, is a very capable Mexican restaurant serving very well-prepared dishes. Once you're seated you're presented with interesting seasoned tostada chips, a medium-chunky fresh salsa, and a cup of warm queso. The lunch menu offers a wide selection of good values: most of the plates include two main dishes like enchiladas, chalupas, tamales, and tacos, accompanied by rice, beans, and a small cup of tasty tortilla soup. For our entrees we chose chicken tacos and a combination beef and cheese enchilada. Everything was very good, served quickly and efficiently by one waiter for our group of 9. One word of caution: cheese enchiladas are specific to each restaurant. They seem to put queso on the cheese enchilada, which is not a favorite of mine - note that I'm not saying it wasn't a very good cheese enchilada, just didn't expect that preparation.
Took the wife out for lunch,Food was good, the atmosphere was real good & the 4~5 minutes of a wait wasn't bad.thanks you campo verde
I go once every couple years because it looks like fun. It is usually disappointing.
Great food as always. Always enjoy seeing all the lights around the holidays and spending it with family!
Service was awful, and food is not worthy to be called Tex Mex. The most impressive thing about it was to see what all could be done with tinsle and lights!
I really like the service and atmosphere of Campo Verde. Sat at the bar and had a margarita with nachos which were both good. My server was awesome, very cute, and attentive. She held a nice conversation with my dad and I while we sipped and munched. The restaurant closed at 9 but didnt rush us out the door and let us hangout till around 9:30.
I hate to give a bad review but, with the exception of the train, Campo Verde has lost me. The last few times we've been the service has been lacking, and the food isn't great.
Good food and unique atmosphere. Love the trains that go by overhead while you eat. Love the millions of Christmas lights all over the place!
We showed up at 4:50 on Monday after driving to meet family and they ran out of food and are Closed!!!! Yes CLOSED. We tried to make reservations on line and they weren t taking reservations or phone calls that should of been our clue. Very huge disappointment for all the kids after a 2 hr ride for our special Christmas surprise. There were 9-11 other families in the parking lot just as disappointed. The adults were equally disappointed and frustrated.

Uniquely decorated that all will love. Excellent food and service. Have been eating there for years. Anytime we have friends or family in from out of town we take them to Campo Verde and everyone loves it!
Service was great, food just mediocre for the price
Very good food made with no real heavy seasoning. Also nice portions for the price.
Avoid this place. This used to be one of my wife's favorite places to eat, so she wanted to come here for her 40 birthday party. Owner James doesn't even know how to take a reservation two weeks in advance. Manager Ruben is one of the rudest people I have ever meet. Called to ask questions about have birthday dinner and told me that I needed to cone in earlier because they could not accommodate a party of 16 at 730 in a Saturday night because they would be to busy. Restaurant was half empty when we arrived. And while the food was actually pretty good, our watress Joe, should not be working in the restaurant in business. Asked for a drink three times and had one Dr Pepper in two hours. Just really unattentive the entire time. Took her 45 min to give us our tickets and still got them wrong. Taco Bell would be a better choice. The incompetent management and wait staff explains why the other location got shut down. To the owner James, shut your doors and retire. Its coming sooner or later either from the fire hazard( saw at three power strips plugged in two each other, in three different places) that you choose to decorate your place in or when the people stop showing up. Ruben... You need to be fired and have no business working in the restaurant business. Yall messed up and should own that rather than yelling at your customers and making them feel like your mistakes are there fault. You ruined my wife's birthday and should be ashamed of yourself.
Disgusting food. Fun to go around Christmas time because of the decor but I would recommend maybe just getting a few drinks and going somewhere else for food.
Was here for a surprise birthday for a family member. And this place was awesome. In every way. Love the decor, and the model train chugging all the way around the ceiling of the restaurant. And the creative use of Christmas lights and done in a way that actually doesn't seem cheesy in the middle of July. Had a great time!
Very nice, and quiet place with great food and atmosphere.
Absolutely the best atmosphere to take your kids during the holidays! The food and service is great and it wouldn t be Christmas in DFW without this place. It s a must see and well worth it!
You don't go for the food, you go for the atmosphere. Food is not horrible, but average at best.
Great atmosphere and Margaritas! We had a one hour wait time but it was worth it.
I love the fajitas...the meat is always tender and delicious..love the deco and train...its fun to bring friends here that have never been here b4 and see their reaction walking in..
A little on the expensive side but you do get plenty off food and the service is mostly fantastic
Best Sour cream chicken enchiladas! And the salsa and queso were both good. Loved that the queso was free with the chips. Loved the crisp, non-greasy chips. Beans and rice were also great. We've found a new home for our Mexican dining enjoyment.
It looks like Christmas in late January. Restaurant has Rattlesnake, Elk, Buffalo, and Cabrito on the menu.
Great food, friendly staff, and I loved the decor. My 4 year old loved the train and lights. As the train made its way around the restaurant you could watch all the children get excited.
The atmosphere is great, but the food is terrible. We used to go there once a week. Not anymore. They stopped putting a lot of seasoning on their chips, and the food has no flavor. Very cheaply prepared.
Beautiful interior, magical even. The food is very good but a tad bit overpriced. Strong margaritas. A great family restaurant
Always good service especially when guests come from other states they love it as well
Always delicious and Ashley H. Is my favorite waitress here!
This is the worst place you can possibly go to! The food is absolutely the worst!! I don t even know how they call this Mexican food. The food is all store bought and poorly put together with the greasiest meat sauce poured over it and the cheese is a weird yellow color so I have no clue what it s made from. The staff do the best they can in that place but the manager is the worst human on the planet and should not be put in charge of anyone! The manager yells at staff and customers for everything and then the staff have to come and apologize to the customers when the manager leaves. I feel so bad for the hostess trying to apologize to everyone and trying to keep the customers happy.
The kids love it. The food has never changed. I like that.
Showed up at 7 and they refused to seat us because it would be too close to closing time for them, which is 8:00. We drove 1.25 hours away just to try it out.
A sensory schmorgasboard!
Greatly appreciated the care taken by the staff in accommodating members of our party with special dietary considerations. We were able to relax as a family and enjoy the food, each other's company, and the festive atmosphere!
Food was fine. Service was not so great. Waitress disappeared for over 15 minutes. Someone brought our food out and set it by our table and left, then brought food for table behind us and just left it on a tray. After 5 minutes we got our food so it wouldn't be cold. Another waitress served the table behind us and then about 10 minutes later our waitress showed back up.
This place has great lights at Christmas...and thats about it. The food is not great, the wait is long, the service is slow. I know they get slammed at Christmas and that isn't their fault, but I was disappointed
Very Interesting indeed to say the least. I never seen a restaurant celebrate Christmas with so much passion. As I entered in this establishment for the first time, it appeared to be dated, but the Christmas decorations made up for that. I thought I had stepped into a eclectic Christmas Wonderland. Viewing all the decorations and lights, with the toy train running new the top of the ceiling of the dinning room. A nice touch. The menu was full of options. But the Cuban Steak is to die for. The beans were extremely salty! OMG... I will visit again, just minus ordering any beans.
Good food good margaritas the train that runs around was neat
Decor/Ambiance: 5 stars
Service: 4 stars
Music: 1 star
Food: 2 stars
The decorations were superb, and the service was pretty fast. But the music was nauseating, and the food was a big meh. The one good part is technically they give free queso. I'd still recommend coming, because the decor is something you don't want to miss, but just be sure to wear headphones, and order small.
The wait staff is friendly and go above and beyond! The food is pretty good, too! My favorite part is the lights, colors and train. The atmosphere is super cool!
Was my favorite place to eat in Arlington when I was there visiting
Long wait to get a table, but the wife and kids are obsessed with all of the decorations.
Amazing place to go during the Christmas holidays. The overboard Christmas decorations are worth the visit alone, the food not so much. Very average..fajitas are probably your safest bet.
I can't rate this high enough. Such a great atmosphere and perfect for the whole family!
Local landmark for Xmas decorations half the year or so. Tex-Mex was very good, but there is so much competition. Go for the ambience when decor is present!
When you walk in it looks like Santa barfed all over the place, and the queso tastes like plastic. My friend got beef fajitas, but her corn tortillas kept on breaking in half. Over all.. this place all right if you like plastic.
Not very good our server was very forgetful I hope she was new but I'm not sure anyways I'll never go to this place ever again
Great food, great place. Love all the Christmas decorations year round.
Less than a zero bad service and food was nasty. The manager Kelly was very rude. They need to close this nasty and smell place from the 1970.
Horrible food! I would not recommend to go eat there. The atmosphere with Christmas lights is festive. Buy a drink and view the atmosphere. Leave to go somewhere to eat..
One of my very favorite places to eat. Free chips and salsa with free queso. Great food, and great prices.
Ranchero sauce is the best I've ever had, anywhere.
Hadn't been there in a while , service was ok.
Waiter was a little lost, could have just been new.
Food was good, not quite as good as I remembered.
I'll try it again and see if my experience is any better the next time and get back to you all.
The wait was little too long! Not complaining, just giving a heads-up.
Bad food good ambiance if you like Christmas decor. The two stars is because the chips are actually pretty good. Everything else tasted canned or under seasoned. Go here if you like Christmas decor but don t eat here.
My favorite place for margaritas with my family food is great!
Nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff has always been super friendly.
Had lunch at this place today. Our waitress was great, I had Beef and Cheese nachos they were okay.
As we were leaving I noticed a man speaking to the hostess, he was not wearing his mask. He was very rude to the hostess asking her why the table at the bar area had a reserved sign on them. The young lady said he didn t know, then this man walks up to another waitress and start yelling at her why do you have a reservation sign on that table. The waitress answered him so I can separate them for Social distance. He waved his hands up in the air and said all of this is set up for Social distance. Mind you the tables are 2 feet apart form each other. It turns out this man is the owner. So to the owner I will not return to your restaurant to eat your grease nachos you clearly do not need my busy if you don t know how to treat your employees. You grumpy old man.
Beautiful light show. Incredible food , impeccable service. That s why they have been in business for a long time .
Been coming here for 35 years... never had a meal I didn't like... love the atmosphere...
To be honest, the food is just above average. However, this place is so mu ch more than the food. The Christmas atmosphere is incredible and the staff was very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend you make a trip out here to see what it's all about!
Don't go often but when we do the service/food is good
Great Mexican food fast service and the hospitality is good.
