I always love this place ...even as a kid...now I bring mine and she loves the trains!!!
We were seated for our reservations promptly at 5, but our group finally started getting our food at 7:30. The service was possibly the worst I've had. If you weren't ordering from the bar they put zero effort into seeing if you needed a refill. Lots of incomplete and incorrect orders. Even getting the check was a slow, laborous process. At least the Christmas decorations were fun for the kid.
Insanely Christmas all year and a train around the sides of the wall. It was like Christmas dumped everything in one building and wrapped it's self. Good food.
Where is Christmas all year long. At least they took down the tensile. Other than that Services good food is good moderately-priced
Wonderful food, fun and great service! Amazing Christmas lighting and decorations all year round. What a place!!
Server was good but food is not as good as remembered. The free cheese they offer tastes worst than canned cheese and enchiladas were tough and dried out
Love love the atmosphere but sadly food isnt worth it
Definitely have to go if you're close by. Food is good and the decor is a must see. Staff is very family friendly as is the atmosphere.
Think dive bar except full on restaurant. There's nothing here you can't get better made somewhere else. Second star because it has a certain nostalgia to it.
Good tamales and small. Can see why they offer beans, rice, tortilla soup and beef taco with 3. Got a 4th for declining soup and taco. Margaritas were quite pricy for top shelf or would have better review.
The ambient is nice, it is a family place....but the food is extremely oily and salty. The queso for the chips is something between cream and lard or butter with color. And yes, some people smoking like sailors in the bar.
A must see restaurant, especially during the Christmas season. The Mexican food served there is excellent anytime of the year!
Chips were hot, fresh, and tasty! My cousin liked her beef tacos and me and my other friend highly recommended the fajitas. Fajitas were well seasoned, juicy meat, and flavorful. Did not like the cheese dip but my cousin did. Plenty of parking. Reasonably priced! Christmas decorations were on point!
At Christmas time this place is a wonder. It brings you back to that childhood feeling of awe.
The Christmas decorations are more than awesome! The food was average
This place is only cool to dine at once. The lights inside are why people go, not the food. The food is on the same level as a microwave dinner.
Great food! Been going here since i was a young kid...still have a hard time getting anything from that crane machine game by the door...in early 30s now and still need practice i guess. I like the decorations...tons of christmas lights and cool decorations...
A very festive restaurant and bar with good food a must see at Christmas time with all the lighting.
They have the best seasoned tortilla chips and salsa, queso is also included.
We got there at 9:30. Service was slow. Waitress tried to rush us. And as we finished our main course, someone came over and told us we have to leave so they could close. Most places will let you stay a little while, not here. At strait up 11 they wanted us out.
This is one of those places you go to as a kid then take your kids to. Atmosphere is great, the Christmas lights are all year round but around Christmas time its kicked up a notch. The service and the food on the other hand has severely gone down hill while the prices have gone up. This used to be a place we loved and went to often, now we will go maybe once every few years just to reminisce. Much better real TexMex else where for better prices.
This place is amazing! From the moment I entered the establishment, my childish amusement of Christmas lights, tinsel, and electric trains running throughout my room were brought to life. My imagination was mesmerized beyond my stomache's compelling quest for sustenance.
As we sat, and waited for our waiter (who did arrive before the 2 minute professional mark) the train passed over, and I was absorbed by the ambiance of the rock of all classic genres. Our waited, John, was a superb showman and answered each of our questions immediately, and was honest about all the pricing nuances, like old menus and happy hour, which was half an hour later.
The food came quickly, within 6-8 minutes. Our drinks, chips, dippers (both salsa & cheese, which admittedly wasn't high quality) were constantly refilled. The food was beautiful in appearance, but rather mediocre in flavor. I will admit, is wasn't dull, which is why I maintain my 4-star rating. The plate was filling, non-nauseating, and re-heated well. The seasonings on the chips were great too! And fired items weren't burnt, as happens sometimes w/ mainstream restaurants.
The drinks were amazing, we tried 4 different Margaritas, all delicious, w/ both salt and sugar rims. The flavors were overall, amazing! And the entire restaurant was an enjoyable, entertaining event.
Be warned, this is a Very kid friendly environment. Do not be surprised by the copious amounts of kids running around. And be sure to tip your staff for dealing with kids And simultaneously meeting all your needs.
No idea what the desserts are like unfortunately.
Great food , and cute decorations for the holidays!
My family and I have been coming here for years. Food is great and atmosphere is awesome!
I was at Campo Verde on the day they opened many years ago still great. God bless
Inside is pretty, food is mediocre. Sale menu is ok, normal prices are not worth it.
The train and Christmas lights are cool. The food is bad. Bad.
Great food. Excellent service. Awesome atmosphere. One of our go-to places.
Good prices, nice staff and cool decor. Kids love the train that rolls over head
This has been my favorite restaurant my entire 38yrs on this earth. Great food excellent service and an unforgettable atmosphere!!
Good place to eat. Gets into the Christmas spirit between October through March; also has a miniature train that runs the perimeter of the restaurant. Plays old rock and roll.
Great food and fast service, all in a restaurant completely decked out in Christmas decorations. Watch for the train that runs along the ceiling!
This was a huge disappointment, it was my son s 23rd birthday we are new to the area , my sister said we should come here for a family dinner. First they sat us by the bar where there were people smoking, then it was extremely hot so I ask if they could cut the air conditioning down and I was told it was broken. Really it s 95 degrees outside!! Then our waiter was some young boy with no manners as a waiter and to top it off the food was below even average. It was a huge disappointment and I won t be going back!!
Absolutely love this place and the food was really good as was the service.
We arrived right before they opened at 11:00 am and were seated right away. It is now 12:25 and we still do not have our food. 3 tables came in after us around us and the have there food. They brought my grandsons hamburger but not the rest of the table. They just now brought our nacho . We didnt order anything special. We will not be back.
I don't know if it's the nostalgia or the food but I absolutely love this place. The Mexican combos are all good and the chips salsa and cheese sauce are so delicious. I also like the margaritas. The 2 person fajitas were a favorite of my mom and myself. The taco soup is weird but yet definitely good.
Good food. Friendly staff. And the decor must be checked out in person to be fully appreciated.
Food is ok, the real attraction is the Christmas theme
These people are the rudest people I have ever met! Lights are nice but it was completely ruined the moment we walked in. The food is also a good comparison to Taco Bell. When we walked out everyone outside seemed to agree about this place!
Great ATMOSPHERE, a million lights, great service...and Especially G-R-E-A-T food! Awesome all around
Fun atmosphere. Good food. Good customer service. Always busy so has lack of parking, but definitely worth the wait !!
I hate writing bad reviews, but I haven't had Mexican food this bad since, well... ever. The decor is super fun! The staff and bartenders are very nice. Great margaritas! Our take order was wrong. They remade it and it was still wrong. I had the beef burrito. Maybe that's just not their speciality. The queso was also pretty bad. Runny and clumpy.
It's bigger on the inside! The food is okay. The chips and queso is essentially Rico cheese, yuck.
Fun environment for the family, the chicken taco salad is top notch!
Not the best tex Mex I've had in Texas but the atmosphere is worth a trip to this time tested venue.
The cheese dip and homemade chips are literally the best thing I have ever tasted.
Poor service. Meat was rancid. Really bad experience.
The food is very good, service is great, and prices are reasonable.
Not the best Mexican food around, but it is good and provided in huge portions!
Awesome food & Brittany gave us excellent service!!
Beautiful Christmas lighting.Good food and libations
We have our annual ladies Christmas party here. We've been coming for over 20 years now and the wait staff are always welcoming to us and even join in our party fun too. We hope to be coming here for many more years to come!
I ate the enchilada plate, it was excellent. They brought salsa and ceso to the table that was different I had never seen that.
2 for the environment only. Food is bad. Can you say chili powder.
I've been dinning here since I was born. I love Campo!
Horrible, waited 15 minutes to park to take out chips, cheese and salsa. I was immediately told NO. I asked what they meant by NO. They are doing NO TOGO ORDERS. I wish they'd advertise this before I waited 15 minutes. Wow. Such horrible service as well
My first time here and I loved it. The beef fajitas was amazing.
If it were just for the Christmas decorations and lights Id give a 5 star. Very Festive.. Now as far as the Mexican food it was not good. Being Hispanic this food is not Mexican. Who warms up corn and flour tortillas on a microwave to be used for fajitas especially in a restaurant were you have stoves to warm up with fire. Fajitas did not have any flavor. Hostess was little rude as we went in. Its Tex-Mex food.. For the price I paid for two I would rather make them myself. Not coming back.. 12-4-20
Nice environment for family or a night out with just the wife. Prices and quality keep us going back.
Little bit pricey, but food & service well worth it...
Just like I remember it from when it was on the Westside of Fort Worth. Awesome meal, server and atmosphere. Thanks!
Loved the scenery, but the food was mediocre. My flautas were cooked really hard. Kids will love the place tho!!!
The food was good came out fast and hot. Our server Destiny was a lovely young lady knowledgeable and very helpful.
Been going there sense the early 80's Family tradition my mother loved it, as do I now I take my children and grandson. Awesome family place still. Portions and prices are more than fair always great specials and they serve Rattlesnake yep..Rattlesnake. Highly recommend
Found a hair in my food , kids really enjoyed the train and the deco. They enjoyed the place.
The place is amazing. The food wasn't the best nor was our waitress.
Love this place. The decorations, and our kids love the Trains.
This is a great place. Good food and reasonable prices. Fun atmosphere.
The food is good but this place needs a major makeover, it had an odor like a bingo hall.
