Last couple of times have been Just ok. Food isn't authentic Mexican. Train hasn't been working consistently. They do still allow smoking at the bar. You're paying for the ambiance but the ambiance isn't always up to par. Food is mediocre mostly for Mexican food.

My family has been coming here for years. It used to be one of our favorite restaurants. We went back recently and we were greeted by some of the most incredibly rude staff. Horrible service. We will no longer be returning.

Terrible! Everything we tried to order, they didn't t have. We were told the menu was being changed and certain things were no longer available. Then why not create a new menu? And who has heard of a Mexican restaurant that doesn't have shrimp cocktail or fish tacos?! What we finally got was tasteless. Awful beer selection. Will not return

Talk about atmosphere. This place is unlike any other due to the incredible Christmas light installation. It's like eating Mexican food in Santa's workshop. The food is solid and the service is friendly. A place everyone should try at least once.

Campo Verde in Arlington is the ultimate family experience! I've never once had a bad experience and I've visited well over 50 times. They have the place decked out in Christmas lights 365/yr and an Awesome Train that circles above you while you eat which advertises local business . I've only ever eaten one thing on the menu and that's their NACHOS which are to die for. We love Campo Verde and will never stop going

Everyone needs to experience Campo Verde when they have the lights up. It is unbelievable. So. Many. Christmas decorations. It's hard to even grasp until you see it in person. I'm leaving 5 stars simply for all of the lights and the little model train that runs around the restaurant. The food was probably 3.5 stars. Service was great though! My husband got fajitas and really liked them. My enchiladas were okay.

I worked here for a bit. There are a lot of roaches and rats; very unsanitary kitchen and dining room in general. Kitchen staff would dip fingers in the guacamole and lick it off. Wait staff picked dropped food off the ground and put it back on plates. Shredded chicken sits on the kitchen counter all day with no lid or refrigeration. Be very wary of food poisoning if you eat here.

The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else! There is something for everyone to look at. The train makes its rounds throughout the restaurant, making a casual dinner infinite times more exciting when there are little-ones at your table.
I always get the beef enchiladas and love them. I appreciate that they give chips, salsa, and queso as a free appetizer.

I have been coming here since I was a teenager...you will never come here and feel unwelcome. Everyone is your friend. Drinks are cheap and food is decent, but the atmosphere is what brings you back time and time again.

For how hyped up this restaurant is online and with there supposed light show they are advertising all over social media you would think they would have an energetic staff instead I got. A sixty year old psycho waiter who knew absolutely nothing about the menu. My family waited over two and a half hours for a very bad service. Then the food. Jesus. The most bland undesirable Tex mex I have ever took part in. Will not be going back to this restaurant ever again. It s crazy how a social media trend can literally disguise the true nature of places.

We were pretty excited to go to Campo Verde after hearing so much about it from friends. Man we re we disappointed. We may not be friends with them after such a terrible recommendation/

Food was a couple steps below Taco Hell. I ve had better Mexican food in Army MREs. The service was even worse than the food. No drink refills, no chips or salsa refills. We saw our waiter to get the drink order, get our food, and get our check. We found out at the end of the meal that gratuity was already added in so that may explain why the server didn t actually do anything.

Save yourself the time and money. Get Taco Bell and you ll be happier.

We met our Grandchildren here for my birthday. They are 5 & 7. They were mesmerized by all the lights and the train! We enjoyed our food as well.

The Cheese Enchiladas were good. I prefer them without the con carne sauce and with onions on top. The small serving of Tortilla Soup was an unexpected delicious surprise!

The Chicken Fajitas are very good as well!

They do serve hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken nuggets for children.

The take away experience at Campo Verde is not the food but the decor. At Christmas it seems there isn t a square inch that isn t lit with Christmas lights. It s toned down, but not by much, in the off-season. The food itself is decent but not mind blowing. Biggest downside for me is smoking is allowed at the bar so you need a table well away to avoid the smells.

So this was my first visit back in 12 years, as I became violently ill after here last time. My family convinced me to come back. Well, I won t be giving this place a third try. The service was good, but beyond that, there was nothing of note that makes me want to ever spend money here again.

The menus were not up to date, and while I understand that menus change, it was easier for the waitress to just say, all we offer is tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas. If you re going to majorly overhaul your menu, do it first, Especially when you are dropping 90% of the items off your menu.

This was it for me, I won t be going back here for oppressive Christmas decorations, and mediocre Mexican food.

This is one of my favorite Tex Mex restaurants of all time! I love that they offer free cheese sauce with the salsa, it's definitely one of their selling points. The atmosphere is awesome, they have something crazy like 100,000 Christmas lights installed and put up even more near Christmas time. The food is really good, especially the fajitas. The only constructive criticism I would have is that they need to make their happy hour margaritas stronger... Like way stronger. I noticed they have it premade, which is fine I guess, but I still wouldn't mind them making it fresh. Besides that everything else is great!

See pic of owner at Christmas.
