Christmas lights were fun, but didn't make up for lackluster service, particularly since menu prices are a bit high for the quality of the food. Another poor experience was the odd way they went about changing their menu the week we were there. About half of our selections were no longer being served and all we were given for reference was a handwritten note after we'd already attempted to order.

The Christmas Decorations were both amazing and enchanting to experience. Maybe because of the Thanksgiving break they were quite busy. Our server was a doll but, she clearly had her hands full with the amount of tables she was servicing. Appeared to be two areas. The food took a little longer to come out but as busy as they were, I guess it was to be expected. The food itself was just "okay". Nothing to go crazy about and to be honest, I could live life happy if I never ate there again. It was fun to experience the atmosphere but, I won't be breaking my neck to go back. Which is sad because my wife talked about this place for days and even she was disappointed. But hey... we are just two random patrons, what do we know?

Great setting, the toy train and lights are very creative. The food is fairly priced and tastes good. They give everyone free cheese sauce and salsa. The cheese sauce isn't great but it's free.

The decor is great. Young children will LOVE it. Or anyone into a CHRISTMAS theme. I had a nice waiter. I only had drinks. I had a pitcher of Margarita and a Patron w/Pineapple juice. Sucked! No liquor, in my liquor drinks. I felt Nothing! I am a small framed woman, so that's impossible. Don't come for the drinks!

I gave them 5 stars because this place was definitely Christmas!! I'm sure it takes a huge amount of time to get it all set up. Food was good but our server was just mediocre. (Sad to say)

The atmosphere was amazing but the customer service was terrible. When we arrived at 9:34 the front door was locked although the restaurant doesn't close until 10:00. The manager unlocked the door after we attempted to open it and was unprofessional and unwelcoming. When we asked if the restaurant was closed, he stated that it was not but that the kitchen is closing in 10 minutes. The way he spoke to me was rude and unacceptable and if we weren't meeting friends we would have left immediately. Customer service is vital to the success of a business and I do know that none of my family will ever visit this restaurant again.

The inside is fun and the food prices are great. (Plus they don't use lard in their beans.)

We loved the decorations. My chimichanga was good. However, the rice and beans were pretty flavorless and the corn tortillas were hard and tasted awful, literally the worst I have ever eaten. There is no way they were freshly made as advertised. My dad had to have a knife to cut the chile relleno(?). The ladies bathroom actually was the worst part, made me lose my appetite. Carpet in the bathroom? At a restaurant?! So gross. The prices are also absolutely unreasonably high, especially for what you get. Our waitress was awesome and made the visit bearable and pleasant. My daughter is disappointed because she loved the atmosphere but I do not believe we will return.

Been coming to Campo Verde since i was a child. Have never really been unsatisfied with the food. Service has always been the best with Michela as my waitress. NZ

High marks for being "one of a kind, unique, original". Like all restaurants each dish's appeal depends upon your tastes etc.
My advice, during the weekdays always ask for Kim, she is the best, not just here, but anywhere!
I make a point to eat here at least a couple of times a month and it is out of my way usually, but I make a point to go! Hope you enjoy! (I think you will!)

Ive been going here since they where at the old location off Alta Mere Dr, Fort Worth, TX . For many years I didn't know where they went then one day about 7 years later, I was driving by in Arlington and found them so happy I did.This is one of my favorite places to go to.Such a pleasant atmosphere restaurant and good food :)Also They serve full menu all day .So we get the #15 on the lunch side totally worth it great prices.

Was very surprised how expensive it was. 4 people $77 with no alcohol no desserts and just got regular rellenos, quesadillas no specialty meats.. Two of us had water to drink as well...

So colorful inside!! A fun atmosphere paired with delicious food. A great place for families!

Daily special was okay but not enough to satisfy me so I ordered an extra taco. It cost almost as much as the rest of the meal. Seems a little steep to me. Just beware of the cost of extras at this place.

This restaurant is a family tradition for us during the holidays. Beautiful holiday decorations, and great food. The chips are my favorite. Last night's server was fun, but forgetful. We ordered 2 orders of fajitas for 2. We asked for corn, and flower tortillas. We never got the corn tortillas or the extra cheese my wife ordered. We'll still be going back though. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Decent food, barely decent service, the men's room smelt like raw sewage and the toilet leaked all over the floor when flushed and no one cared...

Its such a special time when my family & I come here, no matter the occasion. We really enjoy the lights & little train that chugs it's way around the restaurant during your visit. The food is awesome, chips & salsa are the best around! Coming here has become such a tradition in the King family, & it holds a very special place in our hearts!

I really don't see how this restaurant has a 4.2 rating. In comparison to an actual high quality restaurant, this sucks. The decor is very outdated. What in the heck is up with all the lights? Lights are freakin everywhere, it does not look good, way too much. Too many lights, too many knick knacks and displays. I hate the fact that smoking is allowed at the bar. If you want to smoke go outside. Everyone knows by now that smoking cigarettes are harmful and deadly to someone's health NOT to mention being on the receiving end of second hand smoke. Wake up people. Also, you must understand that just because it is only allowed at the bar, doesn't mean it doesn't travel throughout the restaurant in the ventilation ducts. Not only was the atmosphere and decor terribly unappealing, the food made me sick. I had to stop eating it. I got the chicken fajitas and they were making me nauseous. I can cook at home and make a tastier not to mention healthier meal. The restaurant staff was friendly, I have no problem with that. I just saying if this restaurant expects to survive in the years to come, then it needs to open their eyes to many changes in healthy eating, allergy friendly, and overall health fitness and choices more and more people make every day. I will never eat here again. The parking lot is trash, be careful for the pot holes and the outside appearance is no better than the inside.

Awful food and service. Our drink order (water, tea, coke) came out the same time as our plates. We asked multiple times for our drinks and got up and poured ourselves water from the server station. The server forgot to put in our order and served the rest of our friends the wrong plates. Then proceed to charge us for the food. . Asked to speak to a manager and waited for 20 min..no manager showed up. We all walked out and told them we weren't paying. Save yourself the wait and money, just take the pictures of the lights and leave. Doesn't even deserve 1 star, worst service ever.

It's definitely a place to visit in Arlington but the prices can be a bit steep. $10-ish for a "bowl" of soup that had one chunk of chicken and easy mostly broth, onions, and peas. Be ready for Christmas light and garland overload!

Great atmosphere for Christmas. Tons of lights. The food was just okay though.

Let me start with you are just paying for their light bill. In other words, you are paying for the atmosphere. Walked in and the host pretty much blew us off because we thought our family had already been seated before us so she said "They would be that way". Never been to this restaurant so we were just aimlessly walking around looking for our family. Then went back and just sat down because apparently we were the first ones there. Then we asked if there was a reservation and they said they don't take reservations. So our family all gathered in their small entry way, having to move constantly because we would get in the walk way of people. We all waited for about 20 minutes then were seated. Waited another 20 minutes for the chips that were just good cause of the Chile powder that was on it. They bring you queso with the salsa and it's just canned cheese warmed up. Another 20 minutes just for drinks. The tea was weak and watered down. But their margarita called Swirl was good. Our food came out at a decent time after we ordered it. I got the callabacitas rellenos which is a zucchini stuffed with chicken, cheese and onions. Came with a random "cheese enchilada" which was a glob of their canned cheese sauce and underneath was the tortilla rolled with cheese inside. I mean I couldnt even tell it was an enchilada. Just looked like cheese on the side.That costed $17. You can get a plate for $17 somewhere else that is much much better! I got a margarita and that plate, my total was $30. $30 for one person of disappointments. They have an outdated system. The waitress spent a lot of time with our tickets cause she had to write out and calculate by hand. So that took a while too! The place smells like old wood and cigarettes covered up with pinesol. But hey, the Christmas decorations were cool to look at! Don't come here if you are Mexican. Disappointment awaits.

Warning: If you are coming for food, politely exit the building and never return. Literally WORST TEX MEX FOOD EVER. Its beyond me that even the beans and rice tasted as if a toddler made them from a can..However, if you are coming to feel Christmas, you will not be disappointed. MOST ENCHANTING DECORATIONS EVER. HANDS DOWN!!. My dilemma is wanting to go back, but definitely not for food.

Food here is usually good, but this visit the food was not good at all, I did enjoy the chips and cheese sauce. Not for sure if I will be back.

I love Campo Verde. Some other reviewers here seem to find the food lackluster, and they have a right to their opinions, but I really really like their fajitas and black bean soup. I agree that the free queso isn't amazing but the salsa is awesome. It's made with lots of fresh herbs and is one of my favorite things they serve. The atmosphere is fun and the servers are polite. Definitely worth the money.

First and foremost, you are going to Campo Verde for the atmosphere. The Christmas lights and knickknacks and toy trains are unlike anything else. The food is only alright, but the service is fast and the specials are great, making it a good spot for kids or groups.

First time visit. Had been told it was a crazy decorated Restaurant with thousands of lights, which is true. Great friendly service. Chicken Fajitas tasty in a generous portion, great guacamole, fairly priced, and decorated with hundreds of items collected from Sports, Americana, & Mexico. Several autographed pictures of Nolan Ryan in his Texas Rangers uniform.
This place is an experience.

Worst fajitas I've ever had hot sauce was Bland used to be good back in the 70s

Ordered chicken fajitas and an order of beef fajitas. OMG it was so much food. You only get 3 flour tortillas per order so you might want to order more unless you have some at home. EXCELLENT!!!

Price was good for the amount of food they serve you. Fajita was very tender and the chicken in the salad was very soft and shredded nicely.

The food is far from good taste need better cooks or change menu. Enchiladas are cold and beans and rice taste old i would not recommend the restaurant.

This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants to visit with family and friends! Ive been coming here for at least 15+ years and they continue to have great food and prices. My favorite dish are the nachos which ive always had come out correct to order and always fresh made along with their great seasoned chips, salsa, and queso.

The atmosphere is definitely something to look at, they have one of the biggest Christmas light style displays I've ever seen! They usually have it up year-round and it actually provides a bit of a homey feel when you walk in. The whole place and its employees are a shining symbol of making you feel welcome and basically right at home with good food, drinks, and family or friends to go along with it.

Me and my family will continue to come here for the future!

The lighting around Christmas is something must experience. The chips and cheese sauce is another must have. Food is good. Drinks are delicious.

This food is garbage. Most unflavored meal I have had since moving to Texas three and a half years ago. The waiter was good but that cannot make up for the terrible food. If you want to go just to look at the decore, fine, but be prepared to be unsatisfied with your meal.

The phone message said that parties under 5 should have no problem getting a table between 8-9. So we drove for an hour to get there and they stopped sitting tables.

Our group's meal was, as always, great. The atmosphere is always special and seasonal. Our waiter, Hunter, never left us lacking for anything.

Can't stress enough what mediocre food this was.. the food was nothing more than cafeteria food... nothing special at all.. nothing.
kids meals don't included drinks and with 7 or more people they FORCE a 20% tip.. the service was pretty poor.. asked for refills, ketchup and several other things and were pretty much ignored. servers know they have a tip coming and don't seem to care.
Christmas lights everywhere.. 100's of thousands.. yay..
