Everything about this place is great..food, service, decor, prices. I'd go there more often if I had the time.
Favorite restaurant from when I was a kid, food was just as good at 35! Love it
Fast, affordable, and very polite. Trimmed my hair and beard, wife loved the look!
Love the cheese dip with the unique chips. Long time Arlington favorite restaurant.
Not a fan... I wish I could say the service was great but it wasn t! Our waitress was not friendly nor was she familiar with the menu. I explained it was our first visit and she seemed to be very put out by our a questions. The free Queso More
Never a bad dinner here. Treat yourself. I love the lights.
Excellent food, love the Mexican Pizza. great wait staff, very friendly.
Tex Mex is my favorite kind of food! This? Not a good representation of Tex Mex. The food is very bland, the place smells of mildew and cigarettes.. a friend insisted this was her favorite place, but our entire party was disappointed in the whole experience. I'm really glad I decided not to finish my plate. I felt sick to my stomach the rest of the evening.
the food is off the chain good this place is amazing the food is very fresh the service is very good the atmosphere is very interesting it is a fun place to eat. Dimebag Darrell's from Pantera favorite restaurant when he was alive he went there all the time.
Smoking allowed at the bar causes the entire restaurant to smell . No sweet tea
Great service & great food, had the Mexican pizza..yum!
we walked in and the decor was stunning but the food was absolutely disgusting. the corn tortillas tasted like rubber, The queso doesn t taste like real cheese, the salsa is very watery and, the meat was very over cooked. I will not be coming back
This is a great place! It will feed your visual sense as well as your stomach. They have good lunch specials and the food tastes great also. When you walk in, the multitude of lights and atmosphere has you in a lively place. When you have a seat, look up and you will see the train that goes around the whole restaurant, too cool!
We've been coming here for 13 years. They're now turning people away because of the crowds. Not the fun place it used to be.
Still love it. Went back (with my mom) for the first time in about 7 years, this time bringing my own daughter. Delicious food, Fantastic service, and affordable. Went on Monday, with I was there again yesterday and today. <3
6pm on a Saturday . Was quite and homie . Trains were a nice touch.. excellent chicken fried steak and steak fries..
Very festive, although gaudy, Christmas decor. Good food. Reasonable prices. We and our grandkids enjoyed it and would go again.
Cool place to eat. Food is probably a 4, but during Christmas the atmosphere is a 6, so averages out to a 5
What a fun Mexican Restaurant this has been since I've been in Texas, 1981. The quality of food is great and the chips are to die for with free cheese sauce. We travel all the way from Forney to Arlington for this special treat.
Best thing about this place is the train running around the perimeter near the ceiling. Not sure if you still get to keep the glass your drink comes in when you order certain ones cause I no longer imbibe. Don't come for the food though.
My family and I have been coming here for decades. Ambiance, service, and quality of food are all 5 star.
Going for the Christmas decorations alone is worth it. On top of that the chips and salsa/cheese were hands down the best I've ever had. It's obvious the management has put time into the experience. The food was also fantastic and timely.
I'm a regular customer here and they have awesome fajitas and you get free queso so that's a plus
Every year we make our annual pilgrimage to Campo Verde. This trip did not disappoint. The food was good and the environment fun. The tinsel and fairy lights are wild, chaotic, and delightful to look at, as always. It's definitely worth the trip!
A very enjoyable experience at a bright and festive restaurant great food and great service
Love their beef tacos, enchiladas, rice, beans, and tortilla soup! The only thing I wish is that their tortillas were homemade. They taste like the packaged kind from the grocery store.
Ordered Carry Out - HORRIBLE Service!!! Unbelievably BAD Service!!
Messed up the order, shorted what was ordered, and the food was cold.
Last time we will patronize this local (to us) restaurant.
Made the manager aware of the problem AND HE DIDN'T SHOW ANY GENUINE CONCERN FOR WHAT WE WENT THROUGH. TOO BUSY TO CARE...SAD!!
Food was horrible. There were four of us at our table and none of us could finish our dinner, it was bad. Will never go back. Prices are way too high
Good excellent as usual. But service sucked for the second trip in a row
Love the atmosphere! The kiddos are in awe!
Good food!
So disappointed after choosing to celebrate my birthday here with 11 other family members and the food was awful. We all ordered something different and it was all nasty. Said help wanted on the front of the building....hope it is for a better cook.
I have been eating at Campo Verde Restaurant for over 12 years and the thing I noticed this evening eating with my family is that prices have gone up quite a bit and the customer service from the wait staff has really gone down. I'm very disappointed, if I would have posted a comment two years ago I would have talked about what a great little place very affordable and good customer service to eat Tex-Mex food but unfortunately everything is down it went downhill and Campo Verde will not be a regular stop for me or my family members anymore.
I've always had good service. The food is on point and the chips are worth the treat!. Great atmosphere. Laid back and easy going. You are not rushed like at most places.
I really love the Christmas lights they do this starting in October until December
I waited 45+ minutes and paid $14.50 for tamales from a can and store bought frozen taquito s. Absolutely not worth it. The establishment allows smoking inside, so if your sensitive to smoke this might not be the place for you.
Really good Tex-Mex food & great decor. Free chips & queso is a nice bonus.
Food was not good at all, the cheese was like Velveeta and the beans canned. The decor is really old and dated, and the place smells like smoke, like a dirty ashtray. The service was great though!
Not a fan.
The "queso" taste horrible, like from a can.
Not pleased with the entree as well.
Tons of colored lights and a advertisement boxcar choo choo train. Food not recommended unless you like watery cheese sauce and questionable salsa.
Amazing Christmas decorations and the food was great
I like this place. Great food specials and you get free chips, salsa and queso. Didn't give them five stars because lately they are having a problem with not wiping the tables down well and seating people at dirty tables. Their Christmas decorations are a must see
Good food and a reasonable price all day lunch menu and Ashley was a great waitress
An Arlington staple. Every friend and family member that came to town was treated to the amazing experience that is Campo Verde. The decor is simply breathtaking and always fun. My die hard Tex Mex friend sadly wasn't too impressed with things but this is my review and not his. I enjoy the two taco platter (chicken) and you can't beat the unlimited chips, salsa, and queso. It's a great place to ride out an ice storm too.
Food was good, prices are moderate. This place goes over the top with Christmas decorations.
I have not eaten here I've heard it was decent but my comment is only for an edit on your menu so you don't look stupid change FLOWER tortillas to FLOUR tortillas
Lights was beautiful! Food was okay little over priced in my opinion
Smoking allowed, the place absolutely reeks throughout. My eyes were watering, even my kids complained. Avoid.
Over priced and the food was nothing to write home about.
Very disappointed this place is turning down customers at 4:30pm on a Saturday especially on my birthday weekend. First and last impression.
Excellent rice and chicken enchiladas. Kim is a great waitress!
The food was great and the service was pleasant. Strong odor of cigarette smoke as you walk in. Didn't see anyone smoking in the restaurant but the smell was very over whelming throughout dinning room. Probably will not go back.
I used to come here all the time in the 90 s and absolutely loved the food. Maybe it s because I moved to Houston, ate real Mexican food, and married a Mexican-American, but I was in town a few weeks ago and went with my wife and kids on our way out of town, and none of us liked it. The chips, salsa, and queso were the same as I remembered, but the chimichanga was dry, the rice was bland, and the beans were pretty bad. I m sorry Campo Verde. Maybe I went on a bad day, but it definitely didn t taste like I remembered. My wife and kids said their food was super meh too.
Addicted to lunch here. Such a great atmosphere. Love the decor and the train. Good food. My waitress, Ashley, is amazing.
Great selection, good prices. Try the Chicken Tupanamba, the Fajitas, or Calabacitas Rellenos.
MAGIC! Christmas wonderland! Lights & tinsel EVERYWHERE! And two trains running on tracks near the ceiling! Oh, and the food was delicious and our server, Anna, was delightful!
Cheese dip was horrible. Definitely fake cheese (2nd sign-keep reading for the 1st). Ground beef did not taste like ground beef. Tamales and ingredients in all the food was WAAAAAAY below par. The waitress was very nice. And yes the decor is something to see. The music selections from the 70's definitely match the decorations. The cigarette smell that hits you at the door, smells like a watered down casino(1st sign). Canned food NEVER tasted soooooo bad. Don't waste your time. Go to Mariano's. We even left almost full glasses of the "margarita mix" (supposed to be margaritas) on the table. Not impressed AT ALL.
Wonderful place all year long and extra special at Christmas time. Also, the food is great.
This place is awesome! From the food, to the Christmas lights, Pantera memorabilia and the miniature train that runs around the entire restaurant!
Christmas time here is our favorite time to come, now that we know we can get reservations.....we will be there next year without the crowd. Be prepared for long waits during this time, but one of our regular favorite spots.
Food is alright but the place is super cool for kids. Big negative is smoking inside like wth?
I would give it 5 stars only if they would get new hostess were rude and didn't even seat me. But the food is good
Best food ever, don t expect it to be restraint quality, it s more homey. But it s so delicious. I ve been coming with my family since I could barely walk. And same for my family before me.
I don't mean to bash this place but I'm sure it not just me . My family of 5 met for lunch .the place looked great . We sat down we all had the enchilada and fahita plate . First of all the whole tolim we ate we got no refills. They only gave us chips and caso for 4 people . When we got the order they only gave us 4 tortillas and after asking for the fith one .she never brought it to us . She didn't even come back except to bring us a bill . I was expecting alot more out of this place than I received .
