what a beautiful and wonderful campsite, this summer (2015) stood again, and Woodstock nice in the neighborhood! definitely recommended! too bad you have to pay for the WIFI the prices are not that cheap ... too bad !! plumbing is not too clean in the high season ... and the terrible Spar that is closed at lunchtime ... times of 1950 !!!! otherwise everything ok though ... nice restaurant and nice friendly service too!

For me the nicest campsite in Holland on the coast, for shopping in Zandvoort or Haarlem in 15 minutes by bike, Kennemerduinen and beach right there, ideal for children, cyclists and surfers.
Totally brilliant campsite in the dunes. Here the time really slows down !!! Very friendly staff, that always a lot of effort! A supermarket with decent pastries and a good basic assortment is also on the square. Fully recommended.
Wonderful campsite. Ideal for children up to 12 years. Something is missing for the elderly, which means that young people meet faster. Something about beach football, party in the evening .. Things like that (there aren't any now)
Forests with a group of colleagues a fun weekend away. But because it is a family site, we were not welcome, had decent pay and reserved but were refused.
Moored servants on the phone had said what everyone else does first welcome then. Owner unfriendly and not sorry that he paid seven people refused that no longer will visit this site.
Insanely friendly and super fast. We accidentally had a payer in the booking. Was corrected within seconds easily and courteously. We drive for the second time over Easter and will certainly come more often. The place is simply MEGA
First time camping and decided for de lakens. Absolute successful place as well as concept. Few but memorable walking minutes to a fabulously clean beach.
This review is dedicated to ONLY the part of the course to which all under 21 year olds are assigned. Well, you have to imagine camping in the youth place as if you camp in a worse nightclub, it is eigendlich always loud, whether music or drunks. The hygiene in the toilets is bad and the building is smeared from the inside, toilet paper is not available, there are no holders anyway. This leads to the urinating behind the tent on the floor. It is very much drunk and almost always smoked grass, so from about 4:00 usually comes to rest and the music stops on the tent wall to banging, security peeps very rarely over, it prevails so seen an order, if you want something you have to take care of yourself. Electricity is turned off at night, which unfortunately leads to the defrosting of the freezer, electricity is also often during the day, because the network is quickly overloaded. Space is very little available, it is like on a single large sandy area, pitches are tight and you drive fast, a large tent occupies a place completely. Prices are VERY high for the previous service, ATTENTION it is NOT possible in any way to receive a repatriation if you are not satisfied on the spot, our criticism was mostly recorded, we were always pointed out that there were rules that everyone stick to unfortunately, they just do not have to ... It sometimes comes to minor clashes, which are then usually clarified by the campers themselves.
Conclusion: The place itself would be okay, but the prices are MUCH too high for the unreliable conduct of the offer. If you want to camp quietly you should definitely try to organize a place OUTSIDE the youth course, as this is quite well organized, but if you want to celebrate the whole day undisturbed, drink alcohol and or smoke grass and a chaos is not disturbing the place perfect.
We celebrated our son's birthday party at Gestrand. A nice location with a beautiful playground. The kids played great and we just rolled off the dunes. In short, a nice place to do such a thing
The reservation was made through our website. During the reservation you will receive a personal login. In the login area you can see e.g. the reservation status and can already enter fellow travelers and license plates. Two days before arrival you will receive an information that the barrier card has been stored in the login area and that you can print it out. However, it is not necessary, as you usually checked in on site. If you already know your parking space or check in outside of the opening times, you could also drive to the space without checking in. Questions will include also answered via live chat on the website. After booking, the campsite called us and asked if we would stay one day longer because of the stay 7 and pay 6 nights offer. The check-in went great. The employee was friendly and courteous. She wrote to us e.g. Addresses of supermarkets are available on request, since the on-site supermarket closes at noon in the winter months. The place itself is very spacious and in a perfect location on the beach behind the first dunes. Now in October we had an area alone with seven stands. But there are also higher priced individual plots. I think that in the main season you don't get the feeling of a row house settlement. The pitches have electricity, but no fresh water or waste water. There is fresh water on the paths - so you don't have to walk all the time. The sanitary facilities are clean and in good condition. You don't have to buy shower brands. The paths are sufficiently lit so that you don't have to grope in the dark. There are various simple playgrounds with trampolines, swings, seesaws and the large playground with a restaurant and meeting point in the center. The food in the restaurant is quite decent. However, like elsewhere in the Netherlands, you have to get used to the prices. 9.50 for a burger without fries is a house brand. Then there is a wellness bus and a sauna, which we didn't visit. In the small supermarket you can get everything you could need. In the morning there is also a variety of freshly baked rolls. Washing and drying laundry is also possible. The next larger town with shops and a promenade is Zandvoort. It can be reached with a long walk on the beach or quickly by bike. There is also a bus stop right at the entrance to the campsite. The 81 line runs back and forth between Zandvoort and Haarlem approximately every half an hour. You should definitely also explore the national park adjacent to the campsite with free-range cattle and deer. The best way to do this, as everywhere in the Netherlands, is by bike.
We camped with our tent and I must say, the bathrooms were disgusting. They smelled bad and had feces on the hand soap despencer for three days! At night, we weren't allowed to drive to our campground, so we had to walk a kilometer to get there. The staff was nice in the beginning, but as we raised our concerns to them, they seemed to not care. Never coming back here.
It's a normal camping site: the toilets are OK but not more; there are no other activities you can do on the area, but you need just 10 minutes to the beach. Near the entrance is a huge playground for the kids. There is one restaurant I haven't tried jet. The ground is made of sand and shells ( I prefer grass). And there is a supermarket ( the prices are good ).
Everything really fits here. Friendly staff. Clean sanitary facilities. Proximity to the beach. Organization perfect. Very good supermarket at the place. All places for Womo and caravan with electricity. Perfect
Everything you need for camping. Unfortunately, not every pitch water has a connection. Sanitary houses are clean, warm water included. The rise over the dune to the beach is exhausting and unsuitable for seniors
Very nice, near-natural campsite in the middle of the dunes. Great places for families with small children - sandbox and trampoline on the square, playground from the pitches well visible. Nice program for the kids. Clean sanitary facilities. The way to the beach should not be started with too much luggage;) - the view is worth it.
Great campsite that has much to offer the whole family. Very clean toilets. Especially nice we found that you are not next door to the neighbors but there are separated by the dunes areas. We will definitely be back.
WOW!!! Great campsite. Very spacious but with very beautiful places ... open and clear or on the edge directly surrounded by the dunes which are mostly overgrown with sea buckthorn. "Single places" as well as several places in row or in a larger place with several caravans together ... here everything is possible. The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but in a good and clean condition. Due to the amount of pitches it will be there in the summer holidays at peak times a bit crowded, but we gladly accept this. It is vacation and we are flexible. The large beach is depending on the place in about 5-15 minutes to reach on foot. Otherwise, everything is thought of ... a very well stocked mini market with acceptable prices. Here is the camping accessories z.T. even cheaper than large providers. Only the bread rolls could (as on many campsites) be a bit cheaper. A restaurant, games and entertainment for children, a bike rental ... everything was thought of. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. And who prints out the "barrier card" or holds the QR code on his smartphone ready (I had him as a screenshot saved and deposited as a blocking image. So I need only press 1 button on the phone and had him ready) can on the first day immediately drive through and build up, without previously registering at the reteption. Very pleasant! All in all, from our point of view, it is a SUPER CAMPING that has made our choice for our next summer vacation (we were now in the fall holidays) easier. HERE WE COME NEXT SUMMER !!! And not guaranteed for the last time. THANK YOU to the entire team and all employees !!!
I sure forgot to mention something ... but I think that's enough. Come and see for yourself. It's worth it!
2 unforgettable weeks of vacation on a great campsite in the middle of nature.
Clean sanitary facilities, spacious (Stell-) places, nice small supermarket, attractive offer on the culinary front and then of course an excellent location.
Yes, admittedly the way across the dune is not for the sick, but both the view from the top or the beach are more than compensation.
At the beach one is then also supplied by "flying Dutchman" with delicious food and drinks.
If you do not want to spend every day at the beach, you can go by bike, by bus (stops right in front of the street) or by car in one of the nice places in the surrounding area. If you want to go to Amsterdam, you can by bus to Harlem and from there by train to Amsterdam. That may not be the cheapest option, but certainly the most relaxed and communicative option.
Finally, I can say very clearly that we are here to repeat offenders.
Hello everybody, I'm really excited about the campsite. We booked spontaneously and were not disappointed. Very clean and a beautiful location with a great beach. The pitches on the campsite are generously laid out so that one sometimes has his peace. Online, we got our QR code with which we could arrive in a relaxed way without paying attention to the reception times. We were not 15 minutes on our place when a nice groundsman asked us if everything was okay with the place. Then he even put us the hammock.
Nice clean place in the middle of the dunes. Out of season nice and quiet, you have the feeling you are alone in the great outdoors. The rabbits are jumping over the terrain :-) Sanitary very clean. Sea within walking distance behind the dunes. Unfortunately, free-running dogs on the beach.
Visit season end 2016: Fantastic location, a recommendation for anyone who likes the sea and the dunes! The reception is a real eye-catcher with its decor and the fine sandbanks. The beautiful location has its price, but everyone should be aware, who wants to spend a few nice days here. The toilets are ok, it is even a sauna incl. Only at the paths on the square could be created again hand which are really bad. Also to be recommended is the restaurant in the middle of the area. Beautifully decorated, the hours pass with excellent food and some drinks behind the large glass panes, which give a nice view here quickly.
Large square with great corners, short ways to the sea, regularly cleaned sanitary facilities, well laid out supermarket - all around carefree package and to be recommended.
We were here and could see that they have invested heavily here! The sanitary facilities as 'outposts' at the ends of the campsite have been repainted and tiled inside! All sanitary facilities are new and even partly made of stainless steel! Soap is provided in dispensers, as is toilet paper in 'vandalism-proof' dispensers, so that paper was still available at night! The central sanitary facilities were great, very modern and here, as everywhere, emphasis is placed on social skills, if something bothers you can reach the staff at any time, even at night! All in all, the campsite was very quiet and, above all, the staff was friendly! The only drawback was that German-speaking children in the children's club could not easily find a connection due to the language barrier, and the supervisors certainly still have some catching up to do here. Otherwise highly recommended! If it goes in the area, definitely there again!
Due to a travel warning due to Corona in Germany, we had planned to move our planned trip from May to June.
At other smaller campsites in the Netherlands this was not a problem at all.
But here: the "Don't be possible" and it is generally not possible to "exchange something for free".
The summit, you are now asking for a 75 percent cancellation fee and you should please rebook for June (of course, it is much more expensive there) without at least offering a voucher or anything else.
It's a shame, we were actually looking forward to our vacation there. But that's a bottomless cheek.
What a wonderful vacation spot. We get a breath of fresh air for the weekend. The de Waard tents for 4 people are fully equipped and are located on spacious pitches, with comfortable fixed beds, a good coffee maker, refrigerator, kettle, plenty of crockery, a nice seat from Fatboy and a picnic table outside. Neat toilet buildings and very good service at the reception. Camping shop and restaurant available. Despite the fact that there are so many pitches, you still notice the crowds.
Despite a written confirmation you get an email four months later that we have to book at least five nights. And not during the holidays. The booking was on a bridge day in NRW. A pity.....
At the Beachlodges there was, except for the for me a bit too hard beds, absolutely nothing to complain about. A dream for every camping enthusiast who likes something classier. The environment is great, close to the sea and many opportunities to discover yourself and the surroundings (especially the dunes). A supermarket on the premises, free Wi-Fi .... To Zandvoort and Haarlem it is only a stone's throw away and the bus goes quickly to Amsterdam. It was a great week, with friendly staff and everything for a successful camping holiday. THANK YOU
We had a great holiday for the second time on the campsite DeLakens. The place is very nicely laid out and the wash houses modern and clean. Also our pitch we liked very much, since one has much privacy by the demarcation by the dunes. Especially the service is great. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I even got my jacket sent home because I forgot it on the day of departure in the washhouse. Many Thanks! We'll be back!
Camping has a beautiful location in the middle of the dunes. Direct access to the beach. To climb a large dune. Quite a challenge for children :) We had a Dunespot place. Nice but no privacy and small. Would choose another. Many Germans. Many cars. No separate footpath so not really relaxed. Plumbing can use a makeover. Was also not clean. No breakfast option at the restaurant. For about 60 e per night for a tent, this may be better. Delicious sandwiches at the spruce at the campsite. Photo was taken from a beach bar. You can walk right there. With good weather. Great for a few days. Top playground for children up to 12 years old.
The landscape is very beautiful. Had 4 nights at the seashack property. We were a little disappointed! In the video, the rooms looked bigger. The ladder to bed is an easy challenge in the dark. There is no closet for things. Hooks to hang up are in short supply. You have to live out of your suitcase! You have to order breakfast the evening before, but it is good. The price / performance ratio was too expensive for my taste. I would not book this accommodation again.
Dreadful!!!! The shower rooms and toilets are totally filthy! Rest and relaxation are here in vain (despite sleep). You can not expect help from the staff either.
The sanitary facilities could be cleaner. Otherwise, a very nice campsite for young and old. In particular, the division into families and youth groups in separate places makes sense and prevents conflicts over the night's sleep.
Great campsite with different sized places. It should be noted that the ground of most Womo pitches is a hard sand / gravel floor. The sanitary facilities are in order. The staff friendly. Directly adjacent to a nature reserve with free-running horses and many species of birds, great for walking or cycling, or the beach for surfing, kiting or swimming invites. The nearby town of Haarlem is also very nice for shopping.
