Location in a corner of the campsite, close to the garbage cans and their storage place for all kinds of waste, very noisy. Cold water for washing dishes and lack of maintenance on the campsite.

Well placed, very nice staff but the campsite deserves some work, refreshment of sanitary maintenance of the road and sites. I also regret the lack of disciple of vacationers who does not respect the sanitary hygiene ...

Camping on a human scale, ideally placed at the foot of the dune Pilat with a staircase to go up. Extremely friendly staff, good restaurant, delicious pizzas .... I recommend even if we have not seen Patrick!

We liked the athmosphere and the proximity to the Dune.
Clean pool, a shop with everything you need (eggs, bread, milk, souveniers,.. ), a bike rental and a playground as well as the various possibilities for spending your time in the surrounding area makes us definitely come back again!

2 stars for the view and accessibility to the Pilat dune. Very disappointed overall, the shower is just lukewarm toilet disgusting and we came back in season ... Otherwise the staff is nice, thankfully ....

The dune is awesome. The campsite is overpriced for the equipment but ok for 1 to 2 days. The biggest shortcoming is the sanitary facilities. No storage space and not clean. If you take a shower at the wrong time, the water is cold. The water pressure in the shower is not enough to get wet. I took a half-cut water bottle with me as a shower cup. Collect water at the shower head and thus selectively moisten the body.

Dilapidated campsite, a shame, a snack bar where hygiene is absent and moreover managed by an incompetent first class with an oversized ego .. food that leaves you wanting ... sanitary facilities that do not work (clogged showers, cold water, half-broken toilets ...). Avoid urgently and above all save your money for a real campsite. Holidays wasted thanks to the blue waves !!

From a camp I expect at least clean health. There are few, poorly kept, smelly. The front desk staff seems perpetually unhappy. Two people with a w two nights 84 euro. Surely there is better.

disappointment !. Dilapidated and poorly maintained campsite. disappointed in all points of view. remains the attractive price and the correct reception but nothing more. A youthful and clean look would do good if only to remove the weeds, sweep the terraces, redo the paneling in the camping (difficult to find your location because numbers deleted etc etc), have showers that work properly as well as toilets. We are at the start of the season, I imagine August 31st !!
In short I would not recommend this establishment.

Good points :
Campsite at the foot of the dune with direct access to the dune, clean site, very good restaurant, good reception, taken in the toilets, the bar is welcoming and good evening entertainment area, swimming pool

Negative points :
Very dirty sanitary facilities (dirty floor, insect spiders and canvases in the lights above the showers and sinks) hair stuck in the showers for several days (and this despite the passage of the cleaners) old installations no coat racks in the showers which would be very useful given the state of the ground (you cannot put anything on the ground). Mirrors too high in the sanitary facilities at the level of the outlets (especially when you are small like me :) a large mirror would not be bad). Even after cleaning the toilets do not breathe freshness a good bleach with a good spray would not do any harm rather than waiting for the person cleaning to finish their call to a friend!
One morning around 8:30 am I went to the toilets, they were in a pitiful state (excrement everywhere on 2 of the 3 toilets) so I went to the reception, the 2 hostesses present at that time did not have it at all reacts. The toilets remained in this state for several hours.
No security visible in the evening in the campsite (we were disturbed and no one intervened).
Main animator (Dimitri) at the top and very motivating unlike the others who are not at all happy (they give an impression of I'm in jest as if they did not want to work in fact their service (animation pool caf or aquagym) are there. image of their desire).
We believe we are in an ordinary campsite, once there very little to do with the film.

Tips for camping:
Refresh the toilets, choose the right team of animators and give more importance to visitors by creating a more family contact. The campsite should use the film a bit more commercially.

We still had a good stay in a great setting. We also took advantage of the pool and the dune which allowed us to see beautiful sunsets.
We would be ready to come back if the negatives are improved.

We spent the weekend of July 14 in this campsite under a tent. Nice campsite, located at the foot of the dune. Sanitary correct, cleaned several times a day. On the other hand, a little disappointed by the lack of animation during the weekend of July 14th. Lack a little maintenance all the same.

Nice staff but the maintenance of the campsite is really neglected. The toilets are very dirty, the showers are cold, lack of pressure, dirty floor, 1 trash can for all showers.

Stay rather pleasant at Pylat this summer, despite the dubious hygiene of toilets and the pediluve of the pool.

Nice campsite but I'm sorry big lack of organization and toilet facilities really disgusting horrible even in the morning the toilets and shower (especially) are filthy (to say on 4 showers, 1 is clogged leaving the water to stagnate, another contains excrement, another the water is cold and finally the 4th the pommel is stuffed with limestone ...) in short it is not worth their 3 stars because there is no hygiene ... (and I want to say that in the shower the excrements remained 2 days in a row without being cleaned by the staff) moreover the swimming pool at night is not locked (great for the little ones) and the man who takes care of the mini-market is far from be nice, in short I will not go back. And as far as the restaurant is concerned, I strongly advise against pizzas, 10.50 for a very small and burnt pizza (without forgetting the "honey goat" made with tomato sauce). I would rather advise you to turn to the 2 other campsites that surround it and regarding the answers that the campsite may have, I (manager) will advise you to take into account the criticisms instead of sending people for a walk.

Missing a place of conviviality. It is unfortunate that there is no open cafe or TV room, the restaurant is not enough to take a relaxing time in front of a drink. It lacks animation and it's a shame, since more than 40 years that I stay in this campsite is the first time I feel this vacuum and it's a shame; In addition we were there at the end of the month so it should have started.

Sanitary facilities desolater condition and at 9.45 o'clock not yet cleaned. Rather spend a bit more money and avoid it.

Camping near the dune, with entertainment, swimming and games for children. Attention on some places of camping one can get bored quickly. Some equipment is to refresh.

Currently it's half past midnight and the noise level is way above pain threshold. Okay they have birthday tonight but it's so loud that the windows of the mobile home are vibrating.
It is not like the others nights would have been different except that noise stopped at half past one. I don't see this ending within the next 3 hours.
If you come here make sure that you have maximum distance to the Animation area.
The rest is acceptable although it's very expensive. A possible explanation could be that here are many employees driving around discharging batteries of golf carts which other recharge. I couldn't find any equivalent for the massive personal placement.
All together a true never-again.

We stayed here for 3 nights with an RV. The parking space is separated from the neighbor with hedges. Soil is sand.
We were warmly welcomed and the staff at the front desk was also very helpful. The small supermarket has everything you need. The restaurant also has takeaway pizzas. The place is right by the dune. Those who do not want the somewhat strenuous route across the dune to the beach can take the bus, which regularly stops in front of the campsite, to the other beaches next to the dune. The public transport connections are good.
Unfortunately, the sanitary buildings are only cleaned once a day. A little more would be needed here.

and privileged access to the Pyla dune.
But the future of notoriety is assured by the young talents of Les Flots Bleus ... Every Saturday of the summer incredible concerts with the nuggets of the Bassin d'Arcachon.

Expensive, very expensive.
Horrible equipment, the toilets are paperless, they have no cover, they are dirty.

After 20:30 the restaurant is supposedly complete with empty tables or not cleared. Places difficult to reach by motorhome with great risk of silting.

I stayed 1 week on a 7 person site. I also paid on my behalf, even in the restaurant and at the snack bar.

The post is mainly to react on the liner, and we knew that it was going to be changed at the end of the season, but also on the general state of the sanitary facilities, not necessarily on cleanliness.

Last info, it's been just 5 years that we come to this campsite, and notice the degradation of this one.

I strongly think to come back, but hope to see improvements in infrastructure.

Sanitation with poor sanitation, some tent sites serve as a dog's toilet and are not cleaned and the restaurant could be nice if it were maintained. But the worst c to pay 30 euros for the booking fee for 2 nights is more than a third of the price. And there is not really access to the beach.Bref we can say that we went but that we will never return.

One week stay in a 3-person mobile home.

Let's start with the positives:

The location of the campsite is perfect, the Dune borders it and the beautiful towns such as Pyla s / mer and Arcachon are close there.
The animations are family (but too childish).
We ordered pizza from the campsite restaurant once, they were good and reasonably priced for what they were worth.
The team is very pleasant and friendly, especially Lego.
The Lego dance (excuse me if I scratch your name) on Friday night was awesome, congratulations!

Then the negatives:

There is no WiFi (nor 4g but you can't help it).
We had a lot of problems with the gas heaters.
There is mold in the cupboards and the radiator is rusty.
We noticed at the end of our stay that there was a huge lack of kitchen utensils and dishes, surely because the previous people had stolen or broken them, it's problematic ...
As a result of the previous problem, we had to make do with few dishes during our stay, which meant that we had to do the dishes very regularly.
The shopkeepers are not friendly and the prices are way too high.
The animations are too childish (but family).
The entertainment sometimes lasted late and some evenings prevented me from sleeping properly.
In my opinion, the campsite justifies its prices by the fact that a nationally famous film was shot there.

We clearly did not spend the majority of our time in the campsite since we traveled a lot to visit the Gironde but I do not know if I could have put up with going to the activities of the campsite every evening (no subjective view).

I hesitated for a long time between two or three stars but I said to myself that the primary criterion of a campsite was friendliness, and I find that this criterion is validated for this campsite, which is why I decided to put three stars while two are lost for the negative criteria previously mentioned. Your opinion on this campsite would be made by your own experiences, maybe you will love you, maybe not ... In any case, I am giving you some facts as well as my opinion.
