for the love of god dont send your kids here

I used to love this place, great staff, amazing friends, heck I was about to become a CIT. that was until I found out that they allowed a diagnosed sociopath who is a drug user and seller to volunteer there. this highly dangerous individual came to my home after camp ended, uninvited might I add, sexually assaulted me, and then pretended nothing happened. the camp is aware that this happened and I haven't heard of any repercussions for this person. if you are going to send your child here, tell them to stay away from a staff member named seaglass. thank you for reading this.

The camp and their amazing welcoming staff deserve all of our adoration and praise! Any bad comments below are obviously written by those still in school learning the art of using punctuation. So therefore any negative poorly written reviews should be ignored.
The staff was out of this word helpful, accomodating and kind. They are the kind of people always singing a song and making jokes. Having fun but making sure the camp is running smoothly. The food was amazing for camp style buffet food. The dressings to the salads are homemade. How I love a camp style salad, I ate two sometimes! It s like whole food salad bar but way less expensive.
The grounds are pristine and very very quiet. The bathroom showers and a great size and it was so fun to camp in bunks! I brought a little camp air mattress and it was like sleeping on air. There were seals and geese on the beach every day. One of our group saw an bald eagle killing things, pretty cool weekend! Will be back! Oh and Mary the head chef, was the kindest and most beautiful hearted person I have ever met. She made me believe in the beauty of the world again. Also you can taste the love in the food! Thanks Mary & Josh the camp director for taking care of us!

I went to this camp for 4 years and overal the experience was great there was one year and this was my last year where and incident took place that basically ruined my experience. I was in the wrangler program (horse riding) and me and my cabin had the same riding time as the day campers these kids were probably 8 years old I was 11 or 12. My whole cabin was put into one group and I was put into a group with the all the day campers just me. My whole cabin in one group having fun and then me. 1 this was humiliating as a 11 year old and 2 I d been going to that camp longer than all those other girls. At the end they allowed me to go on a trail ride with my cabin bc I had a good attitude but I shouldn t have to have a good attitude to be in a group with kids my age. That s the one thing I have to say.

So not only is this place *beautiful* but the staff are too! Our party had a great time exploring the grounds, partaking in activities, and eating the best camp food I've ever had. Hoping to make this a yearly adventure!

I used to come here as a kid, it was so great. There were open air cabins and good food. Dinner by the fireplace. The forest is so beautiful and the night sky is soooo gorgous. We fished, went on walks, and swam and made little fairy huts. Did archery. Arts and crafts. Singing. Frisbee. You name it! I would LOVE to go again as an adult.

My two kids just returned from Camp Sealth. My 7 year old loved the experience but hated the dirty bathrooms and the food. My 11 year old liked his counselor a lot but was disgusted by the bathrooms-he said we was walking through human waste. He also said the food was horrendous. I went to Camp Sealth as a kid and had a good time, but I do remember the icky bathrooms, even 30 years ago.

I went to camp sealth for Kiwanis and Nocturnal, however they had us set up in indian tents up in the woods. Worst experience ever. The beds were literally just matresses on a wood floor. They didn't even have blankets to provide us, we had to bring our own. However, we could have been sleeping in a cabin that was adjacent to the compost toilet. It had rooms on the top floor, but they were using it instead for the counselors belongings. So I pretty much paid $700 for 5 days to sleep on a ragedy dirty mattress in a makeshift tent with no actual bedframe. The rest of it was good, but the distance to walk to the mess hall and the fact that those matresses didn't even have sheets or at least a tote to accompany it didn't make the experience as good as it could have been

I did not enjoy the experience since the cabins were not very good and the windows were actually just made out of tattered cloth, so I could not sleep at night and the cold wind blew on my face... The food was barely edible and it tasted like cafeteria cardboard. Also, we had to do activities in the rain midway up a hike and we had to do things through the bad weather. The boys bathrooms were flooded with faeces and mud so we all did our business in the bushes. We found dead animals in the cabins. So overall, I got no sleep and i did not enjoy the experience. Please consider before going to this camp. BTW, don't trust the pictures they are fake:(

About Camp Sealth

Camp Sealth: Inspiring Youth to Discover Their Spark and Become Tomorrow's Leaders

Camp Sealth is a non-profit organization that has been providing outdoor education and summer camp experiences for youth of all backgrounds and abilities since 1924. Located on Vashon Island in Washington State, Camp Sealth offers a unique opportunity for children to connect with nature, learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and develop leadership qualities.

At Camp Sealth, we believe that every child has the potential to be a leader. Our programs are designed to inspire and enable youth to discover their spark – that special something inside them that makes them unique – and use it to make a positive impact on the world around them. Whether it's through team-building activities, outdoor adventures, or creative arts projects, our goal is to help young people build confidence in themselves and their abilities.

One of the things that sets Camp Sealth apart from other summer camps is our commitment to inclusivity. We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the joys of camp regardless of their background or ability level. That's why we offer specialized programs for children with disabilities as well as financial assistance for families who need it.

Our facilities are top-notch too! With over 400 acres of forested land on Vashon Island overlooking Puget Sound, Camp Sealth provides an ideal setting for outdoor exploration. Our cabins are comfortable yet rustic – perfect for getting away from screens and technology – while our dining hall serves up delicious meals made from locally sourced ingredients.

But what really makes Camp Sealth special is our staff. Our counselors are passionate about working with kids and have undergone extensive training in areas such as safety procedures, conflict resolution, communication skills, diversity awareness, environmental stewardship - you name it! They're also great role models who lead by example when it comes to kindness, respectfulness towards others & nature conservation.

In addition to traditional summer camp programs like archery & canoeing (which we still offer!), we also have specialty camps focused on topics like marine biology or leadership development - so there's something for everyone at Camp Sealth!

If you're looking for an unforgettable summer experience where your child can grow both personally & socially while having fun outdoors then look no further than Camp Sealth! We invite you visit us online or contact us directly if you have any questions about our programs or facilities - we'd love nothing more than helping your child discover their spark today!
