My son (12 at the time) had an amazing couple of weeks at Camp Lohikan last summer and we're going back next summer for a full month. He had a great time being with the other boys in his bunk and loved his counselors, and of course had fun doing the specific activities he wanted - a very cool feature of this camp. The SpyCamp was my son's particular favorite. Very grateful for the staff making 2020 a very special experience, making him feel very comfortable as well as parents who were eager (yet apprehensive) to get kids back into some kind of "normalcy" and just let them be kids. Highly recommend !

Three of my daughter's favorite activities was going to Dorney Park, a nearby water park, and participating in Spy Camp, where she learned Morse Code, and taking Circus classes. This was her first sleepaway camp experience, and she became close with all 6 girls in her cabin, and stays in touch with them all year. This winter, she begged me to let her go for 8 weeks, but we compromised at 4 weeks. She can't wait to go horseback riding, jet skiing, climbing up the iceberg in the lake and swinging on the rope swing, performing in the play, doing arts & crafts, and making friends from all over the country. Lohikan was truly a spectacular first sleepaway camp experience...this 8-year-old was not homesick for ONE single day!

It's a great place to be if you are of the Abercrombie and Fitch set, which is really who its geared toward. Otherwise, forget it, its a monthlong or two-month nightmare for your kids. The sort of folks who come to this camp have a shared culture and a shared set of experiences common to a certain type of wealthier, well-to-do American--the country club set you might say, and far more akin to the one you'd find in the Hamptons than, say, Manasquan NJ, and if you ain't in that crowd, you ain't in, period. You just don't fit, and not because of anything you've done.

I think this camp's website does a good job over selling and under delivering. I can't say there was any part of this camp I liked. If you want your kid to be bullied, then this is the place for you. I would love to call the kids out by name, that's how bad it was, but will refrain. Look elsewhere for your kid.

I was a camp councilor here in 2011. I really enjoyed my experience as a councilor and was able to learn so much from the girls in my cabin and about myself. I made lasting memories and life skills such as mentoring, supervising, and teaching that I still hold today. Great friends and a challenging environment made my summer working at Lohikan success!

This will be my son s 8th summer at Camp Lohikan. To say he loves this camp is an understatement. There are so many different activities for the kids. The freedom to choose their activities daily was one of the reasons we selected this camp for our son. If you re looking for a wonderful, nurturing, fun summer experience for your child you should definitely include Camp Lohikan on your list.

My boys love Camp Lohikan! Their counselors and division director have been fabulous this summer. They have been very responsive to their needs and have been wonderful mentors. The boys LOVE getting to choose all their own activities each day, so they can spend as much time at an activity as they want. And the staff at each activity are professionals in their field. I am happy to say that Camp Lohikan is their home away from home, and while I miss them while they are gone, I am so happy knowing that they are having a great time. They've become much more confident and independent as well. Camp Lohikan is family. I highly recommend!
