Camp Canadensis Reviews

Our Twin 15 year old daughters have been coming to Canadensis for the past 6 summers. This year will be their 7th. They love camp and everything about it. They have made lifelong friends and memories. The directors and head staff are extremely helpful and only want what is best for the kids. The property and facilities are absolutely gorgeous and they make updates and enhancements each summer. We are so glad our girls have this safe haven of fun and friendship to look forward to every summer. We can't wait for summer 2018.

I can't think of summer without thinking of Canadensis. I loved being a camper that I returned as a staff member as soon as I could. Over 3+ summers as a staff member and 7 as a camper I have formed close relationships with people all over the world, as well as learned how to work with others.

I have worked at Canadensis for 3 years and it is not only a meaningful experience that is offered to the campers but also an amazing place to work for staff.

Camp Canadensis has been my children's home away from home for the past 5 years. My kids have made amazing, life long friends and look forward to returning to camp year after year. #10for2

I called and some lady named Ally was very rude about me concerning about where Buca is.. she hung up on me if there isn't a Buca costume during Halloween I will sue this camp. Buca deserves all the Nib juice!!

This camp is so dirty.our children went to this camp for overnight school trip and parents find bed bugs on the mattress everywhere . Parents and teachers told camp employees about that but they blame our children bring bed bugs here. It is ridiculous!!! Some of our children get bite by bed bugs and some of our children don't. It will depend on who is unlucky kid. Every family spent 3and 4hours for laundry hen we came back from this trip. I hope camp employees should be more responsible. Nobody will come here again for this dirty enviorment

Invited by "Aunt Terry" for "corn" day. It was impressive to see all the kids being so excited at revisiting for one day their cherished summer camp in this spectacular location. The camp is loaded with activities building from cooking to gymnasium, Roller rink, tennis, golf practice range, performing art center, waterslides to name a few.

No better place to spend the summer! Living 10 months for 2!!

My son spent 6 years at canadensis and my daughter is going back for her 2nd year and they love it!!!

My twins had the most incredible summer at Camp Canadensis! The counselors, staff, and directors were all so attentive, caring and FUN and the program has so many activities it was hard for my kids to choose a favorite. When I asked them if there was anything they would change about camp the only thing they said was that they wished it were longer!
They can't wait to go back for their second summer!!

What an incredible place! My son will be attending Camp Canadensis for his 3rd summer and, as parents, we are incredibly impressed with the way this camp is run. We have felt welcomed, and heard, from day one, and I appreciate that their is a focus on community (both within camp and outside of camp), respect, and fun. So pleased with our experience and look forward to many years with the Canadensis family.

My daughter is a camp at Canadensis, and loves it!!!! Our entire family loves everything about this camp. The staff has been amazing, and really strives to create a "down to earth" atmosphere. It has all of the amenities a camp should have, plus some. But, they are successful in creating a non competitive atmosphere where all kids feel like stars.

I went to this camp and my kids now go to this camp. Couldn't be happier with this camp and the staff.

My 3 children go to this camp and LOVE it so much .The joy they have in camp combined with the erlationships they have developed give me that Parenting success feeling all year long.

This will be the 5th year for our two boys at Camp Canadensis. It is as simple as this...they love it therefore we love it. It truly is their second home. They speak to their bunkmates pretty much daily throughout the year and I believe they are closer to them than their schoolmates. So glad we found Camp Canadensis!

This summer will be my daughter s 8th Summer at Camp Canadensis! It is a beautiful environment with great people and great activities, and she can t wait to go back each and every year!

Overall a terrible experience, dirty bathrooms, smelly cabins terrible staff, undercooked meats/fake/terrible foods

We went here for three days for a school trip and I have to say that the best part about this was BUCA the Aussie.

Best decision we made 2 years ago was to send our daughter to Camp Canadensis. Her last 2 Summers have been amazing, and she can't wait to go back for her 3rd Summer at Canadensis, in a couple of months. This Summer will be the first Summer that our younger daughter is going to be attending, and she is so excited to start making her own memories. I encourage anyone looking at sleep away camps to check out Canadensis, as the leadership team is second to none, and the kids make life long memories.

Camp Canadensis is my favorite place on Earth. The activities are amazing, the staff is great, the camp is very well maintained. And we should not forget Chef David's Amazing Cookies! Camp is my summer home and the friends I have made will last a lifetime. If you are thinking about a camp for your kids, you should choose Canadensis. My only complaint, I have to wait 10 months each year to go back for 7 weeks! Someone needs to figure out how to reverse that.

I was an employee here in 2018. This was the absolute worst job I ve ever had.

Our pay was awful, the head staff treats employees like children, the children are so disrespectful toward staff and have no consequences for bad behavior.

I can only assume their disrespect toward adults comes from their lack of discipline at home... obnoxious, stuck up, rich kids

Camp Canadensis has been my safe haven for the past 6 summers. My last summer was last summer being a CIT. I am absolutely destroyed that I can not return this summer because I seriously can't see myself anywhere else. I can easily say that I had outgoing and incredible counselors every single summer, who helped me grow as a young teen my first couple of summers. If you want to send your child to a camp that is well activity rounded, beautiful, amazingly ran, and friends that will 100% last a lifetime, you have an easy match with Camp Canadensis.

For 5 years now, we have been a part of the Canadensis family. My kids have made very special friendships, had awesome
counselors, gained independence and confidence, stepped out of thier comfort
zone and embraced all that camp had to offer.
So honored for our family to be a part of this special place!!

Camp Canadensis is a truly amazing place and I am so lucky to be able to send my child there. He has found a summer home at Canadensis. He has made friends for life. This place truly cares about each kid and family. There is something for everyone here so no matter what type of child you have, they will have a place here. The staff is wonderful.

Camp Canadensis is a very special sleepaway camp... a place where kids can form lifelong friendships. Beautiful grounds and staff who really care.

For the third year in a row, my daughter can't wait to get on the bus and join her friends for the summer. She loves the everyday activities and all the fun Canadensis offers in a safe and responsible environment.

For 5 years now, 7 weeks a year, my 2 kids LOVE the camp and can not wait to go back. What's not to love? Private lake, great campers, fun staff all run by a NY Giant fan no less! Shoot, maybe I'll go in their place one day!

Camp Canadensis has shown my children how to be the best they can be...and have fun as they grow. I am grateful to have found such a special place for them.

This camp has everything and yet the kids are down to earth. 5 stars.

My daughter went to sleep away camp for the first time last summer - she had an absolutely wonderful experience. Highly recommend this camp. The bunks are spacious, the lake is amazing but most of all the people (Directors, Staff, Counselors etc...) helped to make it a great first summer. She will be back this coming summer and can't wait!

This will be my sons 10th year at Camp Canadensis. He started out as a lower jr and will be a CIT this summer. Once camp ends in August he is immediately counting down the days to the start of the next summer. The helpful staff/management is top notch and have become our second family. Not to mention both my nephews went to Canadensis as well. The friends they have all made have been special. Both near and far. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! They deserve it.

Who is buca. It's a great camp but I don't get what buca is and what it means.

The elementary kids I work with love this camp. Every summer we rent a few cabins to get away from the city. They love the food. The staff is friendly. There are some newly renovated cabins, but overall the cabins are decent. The activities are fun and everyone love the pool and campfire.

I have three children who have/still attend Camp Canadensis. My two girls were there for 8 summers and just finished their last summer as a camper as a 2017 CIT. My son is entering his Upper Senior Summer. Camp Canadensis has given my children the opportunity to have a second home and to meet people that will become their best friends for their entire lives. Every summer after they come home they want nothing more than to go back & be in Camp with their summer family. Canadensis helped my children to grow as people independently and taught them how to work and communicate well with their peers. I strongly recommend this camp to anyone who is looking to send their children to a camp that will be home to them for their entire lives.

Camp Canadensis is truly a 2nd home for both my kids... the grounds are beautiful and the staff is warm and welcoming. I wouldn t trust anyone else to care for my kids all summer.

Summer means nothing to me without Camp Canadensis. I was lucky enough to have been a camper here for 8 summers and I loved it so much that I have spent the past 3 summers as a staff member, and honestly, I wish it was something I could do for the rest of my life. If you have the opportunity to be a camper or staff member here, take it. At Canadensis, we really are a family and there's no place quite like this one!

The most incredible place that changed my life. If you re considering sending your kids here or working here I couldn t recommend it enough. Just a world you want to be apart of!

Not only did I go to Camp Canadensis for 12 years.. but all 3 of my kids go there now too. There is nothing more wonderful than sharing the beautiful time honored traditions, songs, stories and love of my home away from home with my kids... Camp Canadensis is a gift in my life and my family s.

This camp is my life! And I really do live 10 for 2! All winter I wait for my exciting summer that has the same love and opportunities but different view and appreciation for it each time I come back! There is amazing food, bunks, staff, and all in all it is an outstanding camp!! I love this camp with my whole entire heart and if you are thinking about going.... just go! YOU WILL HAVE AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE ONE YOU WILL NEVER FORGET

Family is always the most important thing to me, as it is for most. I am beyond lucky to have spent 10 summers here. Starting as a Lower Senior, I decided without knowing 1 person to give this camp a try. Every camper, counselor, head staff, and support staff member created an atmosphere that seemed too good to be true. There is no place i d rather spend every second of every summer than at Camp Canadensis. If you have the opportunity to spend 1 summer or 10 summers like me, don t hesitate, because there s nothing like the family and bonds you make. The bonds me we make today, will echo in eternity

My son has attended Camp Canadensis for 2 summers and my daughter is so excited to begin this summer! It s a wonderful place, led by an amazing team of Camp experts and I can t think of a better place for my children to grow up and spend 7 fantastic weeks!!!

It s a great palace for kids to grow and mature while having many different life experiences all summer long. Can t say enough good things about the staff.

Camp Canadensis is the perfect summer camp for your child. The level of supervision is unmatched. The quality of their facilities is incredible. The amount of activities offered to our children is amazing! We have two daughters at camp this summer with a third who will be going there in a couple of years! Both of my daughters attend Camp Canadensis. It is their summer home away from home. They have made lifelong friends and count down the days until they return each summer. The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming and down to earth. They really strive to get to know your children and entire family. The camp is gorgeous, is very clean and has the most beautiful lake and grounds. It is a wonderful place to send your children for sleep away camp.

I ve been a part of the Camp Canadensis family since 1974 and I can not say enough about Canadensis. It was the place that allowed me to be a kid and find myself while I was young. It is a place where everlasting friendships are made and maintained. From owners to campers the place breeds confidence in yourself and others.

Camp Canadensis is awesome!

Our daughter has been going to Camp Canadensis for two summers, is going back, and now her younger sister is going too. She can't wait to be back at Canadensis with all her friends which has been such a bonding experience for her. She loves the sports, fun daytime and evening activities, and the counselors and directors. She even raves about Chef David's food and Corn Man! So happy that she's had such a positive, enriching experience. We love Camp Canadensis.

Camp canadensis has always been my happy place as a camper and counsler. It is a place filled with the most amazing, out going, fun, energetic and all around best people. Not only a place made to have fun but also can be a place made to be an escape from real life and a place to teach you different things you would have never known.Being a counsler for these kids has been the most rewarding thing, they become your best friends for the summer and look up to you in anyway. Camp canadensis is just overall the most amazing place and somewhere you want to spend you summer.
