The hotel has a fantastic ground floor level bar. Visited for a refreshment with a few friends after a staff meeting.

An emblematic hotel and located in downtown El Paso, the rates are good if you book by interet, the facade of the hotel is from the beginning of the century but it is a nice and very comfortable hotel. It is worth staying in addition is a Camino Real is a guarantee.

This is the WORST service we have ever had in a hotel. We reserved our rooms months in advance. When we got here they told me I only had a room with a queen bed. I told them we were supposed to have a room with a double bed. The lady at the front desk says "no problem". We check into a room with a double bed as requested and after coming back from running around making wedding preparations for my daughters wedding we find out that our key does not work. I went to the front desk to get my key card reprogrammed and that is when they tell me I had to move to another room because they gave us the wrong room. I argued and told them that we had been granted that room already. It did not matter.
I asked for a tooth brush and they said they would send one right up. An hour later it did not arrive so I went to the front lobby and they acted like they were surprised it had not been delivered. They said I could wait there and they would get me one. Ten minutes later they told me they didn't have any. An hour later after we were sleeping they knocked on the door and woke us up to give us the tooth brush.
My daughter was also given a room that was not suppose to be in service. Maintenance walked in on her in the morning to do repairs and that is when they found out they were not supposed to have given her the room. So she had to move to another room. The next day she asked for more towels because my younger daughter decided to stay with her that night instead of staying at our room. They told her she should have enough towels in the room for two people. They told her if more people were staying there then they would need to pay and additional $10 per person per night even though my younger daughter was already a guest there. Never heard that excuse from a hotel before.
Our groom's parents were booked for the wrong dates and they were told they had to leave early because the room was booked to someone else. They played hardball and did not move.
My brother attempted to get a room from them for 5 days and after being given the run around they finally told him on the fifth day that they had no rooms available.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone at all.
To add to this, the hotel management sent the police to a room because they heard someone had an extra person in the room. The guest were told to pay for the extra person or they would have to be evicted by the police. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

There for New Years celebration and found it quite disappointing for a 5 star Hotel. The place was cold and it appeared that they were having heating issues. One room was super hot and the thermostat was not regulating, another room was super cold same control issue. The party room was cold also. The room bathrooms were dirty and they did not have enough shower towels (2). The ice machines all ran out of ice and were still out the next morning. Water drops were coming from the main lobby ceiling area. For breakfast we had to get a coupon from front desk and then there was a waiting line. The furniture in our room was old and scuffed the carpet smelled damp. Overall, it was disappointing. On the plus side the employees were friendly and helpful. Would not recommend it.
