AMAZING, AMAZING and AMAZING!!! The sound system is phenomenal! Totally clear and not overwhelming. The screen is just the perfect size. Big enough, to make any movie a very up front and personal experience. Dare I say. "A wonderful wonderful experience." The seats are so comfortable, that you'll wish you had one of these at home. The decor the lighting...just perfect. I had the pleasure of having a lengthy and pleasant conversation with Cole. What a very nice gentleman. The Cameo Cinema awaits the pleasure of treating you to the very best experience in the art of motion pictures.

Really cute, single screen cinema with comfy seats, a great sound system and a good mix of indie movies, and some big block busters during school holidays. $6 tickets on a Tuesday and $3 bowl of popcorn if you bring your own bowl! I've seen some patrons with very large bowls so it would seem that there's no restriction on the size of the bowl.

Cool little small town cinema. They show one movie at a time. So you have ample opportunity to see each movie. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They have about 140 seats and most are comfortable.

For being in the middle of St. Helena, the prices are great. Only $8 for a ticket. They hand pick movies they think their audience will enjoy. This last year they showed every Academy Award nominee film.

Like watching a movie at home. Great seats, including love seats, amazing sound system, fresh popcorn (Bring your own bowl or bag and They'll fill it up for three dollars!). Far better than any metroplex and right in the center a beautiful downtown Saint Helena. Thanks to Cathy Buck for such a treasure!

"Used to enjoy going, but it after awhile it started to feel like walking into a timeshare sales pitch. Every opportunity seemed to be about "Making the Sale". During a FREE World Cup viewing (good strategy to make people feel connected while converting theater down time into concession sales), I overheard a manager/organizer and owner sharing their disgust that people weren't donating money! Talked with the owner at one point about mutual opportunities to help the theater, the community and people. It quickly went into a sales pitch and to add salt in the wound, never bothered to return communication after realizing that this wasn't going to be a one-way sales deal. Very disappointed in the contrast between the surface presentation and underlying motives shown through actions. But I guess superficial perception-building is what showbiz is about. Feels too much like politics to us so quit going out of our way to support a one-sided local entity and have signed up for Netflix and go to the large theaters where at least we know they are only after our money. So disappointing to feel used."

My only complaint with the Cameo Cinema is seating feels a bit cramped at times but everything else this place offers makes up for any faults. The staff is wonderful and the sound and screen are amazing, Not to mention how awesome some of the events that kathy puts on are. I got to watch Black stallion then there was a Q&A session with the director of the movie.I love the history of this place and you truly can have some once in a lifetime experiences at the Cameo.

This is the oldest running movie theater in the Western US . They even have love seats for two people! It is really cute and love the movies showing here. It is a great spot for locals as well as visitors.

Authentic theater experience. Throw back to the days of one theater room movie houses that can offer a great experience. Make a day of it. Enjoy the local town of shops, restaurants and wine then head to a movie to cap off the night.

I always make a point to check out what s playing at the Cameo because I would rather travel from Napa up to St. Helena to see a movie than going to the Cinemark in Napa. Now mind you, the Cinemark is a really good theater and has an array of premium wines, beer and even cocktails. That s just fine but nothing compares to the quality and intimacy of the Cameo. And Kathy, the owener, has so many special screenings and other opportunities for film buffs. It s a real gem in the Napa Valley.

We love the Cameo, generally the best theater experience and only a few miles away from home. Comfortable seating and fantastic sound. I realize I'm one of the few and perhaps only one that stays to the end of the credits... That being said I was horrified and more than a little miffed last night when the movie ended and the BRIGHT house lights came on. Immediately the staff began sweeping/cleaning the theater and I felt as if I was in the way, inconveniencing them as they busied themselves with their closing tasks! 'Hurry up and leave' was the clear message. I sincerely hope this doesn't happen again as it kind of ruined what was other than that a delightful movie experience.

For the whole place to be on main street, squished between other outlets, it's really pulled through as a nice local theatre. Although it's only the one room, they have much more involved, bringing in performances and events on a stage set in front of where they roll the movies. Just be sure to salt your popcorn, they don't salt it, mainly because of past issues.

This is what community cinema should be like. The house is charming, the staff is committed and courteous, and the calendar is peppered with special events in among the good old movies. (The movies are not old, just the experience of watching them here. Comfortably nostalgic.)

The only downside I have ever seen to this theater was the people who don't turn there phones off even if they don't make noise a bright light is distracting. Other then that by far my favorite theater, I'll make the trek home to see a movie here.

This is a sweet little movie theater. Seats about 140 people and has the most amazing sound quality. Dolby Atmos I think it is called. Speakers everywhere (walls, ceiling...) There are even theater style love seats, so it is perfect to cuddle for date night. You might think it is silly to go to the movies on a wine tasting trip to the Napa Valley, but you'd be wrong.
