Had an amazing time here over the summer. Large indoor and outdoor waterpark. Their lodge rooms are big and clean. Arcade area was a plus! They offer kids activites throughout the lodge. My boys had so much fun here during this stay. Coffee shop neat the front entrance for mommy morning coffee run. Staffs are friendly and helpful. I definietly recommend anyone for a mini getway.

We stayed at Camelback Lodge the weekend of February 17-19, 2017. We would not recommend staying at their condos because they misrepresent the quality and amenities of their rooms.

The front desk staff including two so-called "managers" are disinterested and unwilling to address customer complaints.

We had in 2016 stayed in a room that was described as a 2 bedroom loft in 2016. Because we were traveling with five adults and five children in 2017, we booked what was described online as a "3 bedroom condo". Instead we received a 2 bedroom condo connected to a one bedroom condo. There was a dinner table that seated 4 and a tiny kitchen. The room was much more expensive ($2,400) than the two bedroom loft and it was much much smaller. There was not enough space for all of the people staying at the condo to eat and dine together.

Camelback does not have three bedroom condos. They tell people that they do but they do not.

Friday night we gave management an opportunity to resolve this problem but were only offered $100 for our troubles. The manager did not appear to care about the bait and switch that their marketing engaged in to misrepresent the type of room we were given. She was rude and condescending.

Saturday morning we called the desk to request kitchen utensils to cook breakfast and did not receive them until we made another trip down to the concierge desk.

The rooms have absolutely no water pressure to the extent that barely any water came out of the shower head at 8 am. We were told that this could not be solved.

We spoke again on Saturday with yet another "manager" who was even ruder and more uncaring than the first manager. We proposed a late checkout as a resolution to the issues we had with the room in lieu of the $100, which was simply inadequate.

The manager made clear that she had the power to authorize a 1 pm checkout but simply reused to do so. We did get a spatula to use Saturday night.

The Lodge also tries to sell you three day passes along with the room and represents that this will save you time but doesn't tell you that they cannot print these passes off at the condo. Instead you have to take a shuttle to the main ski area to get something sold by the condo cooking people.

Skiing at Camelback mountain is great. They have good private instructors. The atmosphere at Trails End is great. The water park is a lot of fun. The rooms are clean. The ski mountain rangers, patrol, instructors and orange coated "-ambassadors" are great.

It is a shame that the same positive environment on the mountain does not carry over to the management at Camelback Lodge. We travel a lot and expect a more principled and whole hearted effort to resolve dissatisfaction from customers.

The ski resort was amazing. I loved the slopes. The lifts are really fast and there little to no delay. It doesn't stop spontaneously in between as it would in other resorts. The water park was nice but the water was really weird. I don't know what chemical was used but it wasn't chlorine and it tasted disgusting. But overall I liked it.

Just beautiful atmosphere..awesome for the kids! I was able to experience Camelbeach this year and they have great water rides..beautiful surroundings and a shuttle bus to take you back to the resort. So much to do!! Camelback feeds everyone's adventures and hobbies..they thought of everything with this park!! Definitely will return

It was raining still they were open n it was fun. We couldn't ski because of slushy snow.We rent our snow pants and boots $20 for a day from the near by rentals. Snow tubing was $35 for 3 hours.

I literally despise the customer service literally walked around the hotel like 20 times to purchase tickets for the rides and pools. I drove 2 hours away for this as a quick adventourous road trip and they turned me away saying its at full capacity. So needless to say i wont be returning ever. If you come lots to do for families. There is free parking and valet parking but save your money for the activities to do. Theres my two cents. Mountain roller coaster is $12 and 4000 ft zipline is amazing.

Very nice place for a indoor vacation any time and no matter the weather, team are so kind and also is a buffet restaurant inside everything was great , good deal for families of 4-6 or more

It was amazing. We went and enjoy the water park and then did snow tubing the next day. The fact that we can do snow tubing made Camelback stand out and is a much better option than the other parks!

Would like to have seen complimentary coffee, tea or small pastries. Everything is extremely pricey. $2.99 for a doughnut!! Deftinaly foe younger kids like 12 and under. We brought Our 3 teens that are 17 and they were over the stay then next day.

First 2 nights were great, when we were snowed in with the roads closed they need to charge us for one night what we paid for the 2 before that. Front desk staff gets 1 star, the rest of the stay was 4.5 stars.

Good.

Good.
But loses two stars because you don't charge 35$ a night for an extra room bracelet, which costs 10 cents (at most).

Their facilities are not capable of handling the amount of people that are there. I've been coming here for 20 years and they have never addressed it. They need more parking they need more space in the restaurants, they need faster lifts and they needed it years ago.

Overall we liked the place and it was new and clean. I got a massage in the spa and the therapist was very professional and knowledgeable and helped fix a back strain. As other reviews have mentioned we were not at all impressed with the main buffet restaurant, looked at what was offered there and didn't eat there. The Trails End restaurant was more to our liking and had decent burgers. Parts of the indoor water park were often closed for short periods, not sure why. The Flowrider looked fun, but the wait time on line was easily an hour and the turns they gave were pretty arbitrary, some people would get multiple tries and pushed back in a few times, while others (including my son) got in, fell quickly, and weren't given another chance unless they went back to the end of the line. I think they need to figure out how to be more consistent about that. The rooms were nice and clean, though we found our bed very hard and impossible to get used to over our 3 night stay. This is totally a personal preference so you might like that (lots of people do), but it didn't work for us. The outdoor water park nearby is totally separate and existed before the new lodge was even built, we got a package which included a single day there. That outdoor park had lots of nice slides and a great wave pool. Make sure you bring sandals or similar as the paver walkways get VERY hot in the sun (I got blisters), so those in the know wear shoes and they have cubbies for them at each of the slides. Wifi works pretty well most of the time in the Lodge. Our biggest hesitation in going back would be the hard bed and the Flowrider line, but we may end up back there sometime (with a pad for the bed).

Went for snow tubing there, ddnt stay in lodge. There is free parking near the entry tunnel. And 3 hours slot for snow tubing. Restroom, indoor seating, small gift shop, small snack place is there. Entry is through tunnel only. Lift price is included in ticket itself, line for the later one is generally longer than the first one. Take the tubes with plastic covers on it, they slide way too fast and are ao much fun. Enjoy

Great place for a weekend or weekday getaway. Staff was pleasant. 3 hours inner tubing outdoors in the snow went fast. Loads of fun in a safe environment. A moving walkway brings you and the tube of choice back up the hill after each run. There are some outdoor has fueled fire pits where you can take a break and warm up if need to along side a refreshment area where you can pick up a bite to eat. After hours of tubing you can then warm up in the indoor waterpark. Sides are amazing, and from signage more are on the way. To describe each one would be daunting, check out the website for pictures and descriptions. There is a wave pool as well as a lazy river and in pool bar. If that's not enough there's an area where you can try your hand at boogie boarding. And not to be left out, the indoor outdoor not tub, which is more like a small pool. Room was fine, nice thing about it was there was a small undercover refrigerator and a microwave. Next time I might bring some refreshments with me. Most places to eat at the resort weren't too expensive with the exception of the buffet which will set you back $25 a person. If you have some big eaters in your group this may actually work out for you. There are plenty of places to eat minutes away from the resort in addition to an outlet mall. I was very happy with my winter visit. I did not ski or snowboard.

Easier trails so it's good for beginner/intermediate skiers/snowboarders. Typical lodge food. When you stay at the resort there is a shuttle that takes you to the mountain and buying tickets online makes it a lot quicker to get on the mountain. Lifts ran smoothly.

We visited in mid-March. Plenty of options for activities with skiing, tubing and waterpark included with your stay. Kids had a blast. Dining options are nothing special, but better than Great Wolf. The hotel is clean and well-maintained.

Camelback lodge & water park was our mini vacation from the cold weather in Virginia. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly & helpful. The water park was fun we really loved the Venus flytrap ride & the the little kids play area. Imagine 4 20-30 something year olds playing in the kids pirate boat area. (Yea that was us.) We ended our mini getaway with snow tubing. We had a great time racing one another. Definitely would come back.

Went snow tubing here and it was a blast. You pay around $60 per person for a 2 hour session and that gets you about 8 rides on a weekend. I presume itll be less busy during a weekday/non holiday. Awesome place and had a great time!
