Please get another Pastor Steve !!!before Pastor Ross retires. The New gentleman will get less boring with time but right now he is. And maybe once a quarter let a black preacher preach. We want to hear about all cultures after all we now have an Indian fellowship and have always had a Hispanic church! At least one third if not one quarter are minorities. Let s hear from them too apart from the Ethiopian gentleman. We could all use each other s experience especially in church.

This is our church home currently. We truly enjoy coming here and it feels like home. We take advantage of the Wednesday classes for my husband and I, our son just started the NXTJHI and he really enjoys it too. We aren't in the area, but don't mind driving a bit to hear God's Word. We encourage families looking for a place to hear God's Word or meet people with the same faith to visit. Their guest speakers are also very insightful too!

I love Calvary. Its my home away from home. I find my most peaceful moments in my chatoic life are here. The strong community within the walls of Calvary make you feel warm and loved. My relationship with God grew more because of Calvary. I look forward to each service and all the extra. I have been attending since Easter 2015 and have never looked back. I will tell you you will not regret going to Calvary. And if it's your first time I hope I get to meet you and hear your story. God bless.

I've been to this church for a few big events, and it's always well organized. Tonight, I attended a concert. Again, we were able to get in and out without incident, view was perfect, sound, lighting-- it was awesome. Well done, Calvary!

Despite the large scale of this church they do try to be personable. Still it seems like a well oiled machine relentlessly following its track to the end of the service. It is easy to get lost in the crowd if you don't reach out yourself.

The teaching that there is a paradise after death ...

The teaching that there is a paradise after death causes death. The teaching that there is a hell could cause recent deconverts to revert and do self-harms. The teaching to forgive isn't exactly great, however there are bible passages that say punishments should fit crimes, and after the punishment... the sin is remembered, but "forgiven". The teaching that it is acceptable to eat animals would cause animal species extinction and even things like cannibalism...

The teaching that there will be a "new earth" would cause global annihilation. I do not recommend the Bible for your places of whatever the building could be used for.

Please do not send terrorists at me.

There is also not fathersonghosthsheepshepherdbookwater...

It is also likely that recent deconverts would stay in house fires thinking it is hell fo..

We moved here and found this church by chance. The pastor immediately hooked us in because of his sense of humor and love. My whole family enjoys going. They offer so many things to do, activities to involve yourself in, and service's in other languages.

This is a great church, but it is so disappointing to hear that we are voting on a new pastor who is not Assemblies of God and has no relationship with our missionaries or any A/G missions! We are moving away from the incredible foundation laid by Pastor Schmidgall.

People were nice, worship and messages were good. The music director gave himself the majority of solos and played favorites. He also kicked people out of choir for things that weren't their fault.
Communion was sporadic at best, and ALL church leaders were male, w very few minorities despite the large percentage of attendees. Good holiday programs, if dramatic.

This was my previous home church! Great people here, really helped me in so many ways! A mix of old and contemporary worship and Pastor Ross's sermons are always enlightening. Children's program is great and they have some great programs for high school aged kids. Overall a great experience at Calvary, some days I do miss them a lot.

So many things to love! Amazing music, relevant messages, children's programs, a school, a cafe, even a Spanish service. I feel closer to the Lord every time I go. You can go and just soak it in without anyone knowing you (aka no pressure) OR you can get involved in small groups in many diverse areas you may have interest. Personally, I've never experienced a church like this before.

Calvary is a wonderful and heartfelt church I am glad to call my church home. The ministerial staff teaches from the bible and links the message to real life applications. Although Calvary is a huge church the leadership really focuses on making sure that people connect at various levels. Whether it is small group meeting in someone's home, Wednesday night Bible Study, special interest groups, or being involved in a ministry you will never feel alone. Members are very friendly and always willing to help. When visiting the church for the first time members make sure that our guest are not felt overwhelmed especially for those that have children. We make sure they get enrolled in the system so they can attend children's church and there is a way to communicate back with the family during the service if needed. I love being a member of Calvary Church.

I live in AZ my daughters lives about 5 miles from Calvery church. She listens to the on line service. Diana is very ill and she doesn t live far from Calvery Church. She is currently in Copley Hospital on Rt 59 Aurora, IL. I called the church to ask for prayer and was told they only pray for people that attend that church. I have been a Christian for many years and have never been told that. The Lady was very Rude. I am going to put Diana s name on their prayer list anyway, maybe not everyone in the church is like her.

I got saved in April of 1973. A wonderful Christian woman invited me to visit the church. I did. I fell in love with the church immediately. The presence of God was overwhelming. The people were spirit-filled and loved God to enth degree. I felt like I belonged to a family. The experience was like nothing I had ever known. At that time attending church was clearly one of the greatest highlights of my life. The founding minister pastor Bob was a man of prayer. The church had a powerful prayer ministry. The Spirit of God moved in the services on a regular basis. The presence of God was always manifest. The gifts of the Holy Spirit were always manifest. People always got saved filled with the Holy Spirit and healed. I had to move on for many reasons. I think I may have left the church about 19 79. I don't have anything to say about Calvary Church today. However when I attended years ago it was like heaven on earth.

This Church is great, but only for Caucasians.

This Church is great, but only for Caucasians.

As a minority, I came here several times to worship, and I was not able to fully worship the Lord due to several instances of racism.

The 1st one was when I was singing with the rest of the people. Everybody next to me were great, but not the White gentleman who was walking past our group. He stared at me and gave me a look of disgust like I was someone different or an alien. I did not expect this kind of treatment.

The 2nd instance of racism was when the white lady was passing brochures to people. She was extremely nice to all of the people, except me. Once she got to me, she looked at me with disgust along with her friend in the back and did not greet me like she did to others.

The 3rd instance of racism was when I arrived to the front door. As I was walking, I saw a white gentleman in a suit and he kept staring at me for more than a minute without even saying hi or greeting me. I thought that he was just curious to see me, one of the few minority guys here, but it turned out that as soon as I walked past him, he started to greet others who were white.

The 4th instance of racism was when my Mom and Dad arrived in this Church to worship the Lord. As we were sitting, my parents saw a couple of white people who stared at them with anger and disgust for more than 3 minutes and continued to do so.

Racism is prevalent in this church because my parents and me have experienced these forms of microaggressions here. Three Rivers Church is accepting to me, but not this Church. If these people are truly Christian, then they should not divide the church and should follow the TRUE word of God instead of separating individuals based on Race and skin color. God bless you and be with you!

Large nondenominational congregation, many ways to get involved. Head Pastor retiring soon but no apparent turmoil. Services for diverse groups available weekly. Sermons from all pastors deliver food for the soul; no political rhetoric, truly Bible based but not fire and brimstone.
