This Church is great, but only for Caucasians.
This Church is great, but only for Caucasians.
As a minority, I came here several times to worship, and I was not able to fully worship the Lord due to several instances of racism.
The 1st one was when I was singing with the rest of the people. Everybody next to me were great, but not the White gentleman who was walking past our group. He stared at me and gave me a look of disgust like I was someone different or an alien. I did not expect this kind of treatment.
The 2nd instance of racism was when the white lady was passing brochures to people. She was extremely nice to all of the people, except me. Once she got to me, she looked at me with disgust along with her friend in the back and did not greet me like she did to others.
The 3rd instance of racism was when I arrived to the front door. As I was walking, I saw a white gentleman in a suit and he kept staring at me for more than a minute without even saying hi or greeting me. I thought that he was just curious to see me, one of the few minority guys here, but it turned out that as soon as I walked past him, he started to greet others who were white.
The 4th instance of racism was when my Mom and Dad arrived in this Church to worship the Lord. As we were sitting, my parents saw a couple of white people who stared at them with anger and disgust for more than 3 minutes and continued to do so.
Racism is prevalent in this church because my parents and me have experienced these forms of microaggressions here. Three Rivers Church is accepting to me, but not this Church. If these people are truly Christian, then they should not divide the church and should follow the TRUE word of God instead of separating individuals based on Race and skin color. God bless you and be with you!
