I couldn't believe that I spent so much money at a chain mexican restaurant, but the frozen margaritas were as expensive as they were delicious.

Good guacamole, good salsa, decent dishes. Average service, but cute souvenir glasses!

Service was ok on my first visit, not much I can remember about it. And the food was good, nothing really stood out for me. But the drinks were really good and strong, and on my second visit I just stayed at the bar. The bartender was great, I asked for something that wasn't on the menu and he made it. The main reason for a 5 star.

One word describe this place's food: mediocre. You might as well spend your money elsewhere since the fare here isn't worth the money (unless you're very drunk and have simply stumbled into the restaurant).

I ordered a "Cuban Sandwich" only because the Mexican menu didn't seem very Mexican or Tex-Mex (they've got dumplings, burgers, and a sushi roll on the menu, for instance). My sandwich came in out in about five minutes--made me wonder if the ingredients had been pre-cooked and left in a warmer. Can't know for sure, though.

Greenwich Village has many restaurants and bars. Go someplace else.

This is a go to spot for lunch specials if you like Mexican food and it comes with a free drink :)

I have had better food and drinks at Mad dog and beans. I did like the location, was very convenient for getting cookies from Chip afterwards.

Its always great the manager and the staff are always a delight.

I've been there a few times before and it seems the same except the drinks are too small for the price.

Food horrible. Even chicken wings were horrible no dipping sauces at all except for oil... huh? Burritos dull of rice expect for a couple on squares of protein. Not worth the money at all price are outrageous. Please save yourselves. After dinner the 4 of us went to go eat good food at a great diner

Great tasting tacos and a good tequila list !!! They have a deal if you get 3 different tacos, and the cauliflower tacos were surprisingly my favorite (very flavorful).

Big fan! Their frozen drinks are a must! The handmade guac with nachos is fresh and tasty every time I go!

Had my graduation party here. They were great about seating us even though the whole party wasn't on time. Great strong drinks! Definitely worth getting the 24oz margarita. Food wasn't amazing but the experience made up for it.

Fantastic place! Freshly made Guacamole and very very tasty crispy chips. Michelada and Tacos were awesome too, not over priced. Will bring more friends here!

The food was delicious. And the spicy watermelon margarita with the chili lime salt was incredible. And the service was also really good.

The restaurant is amazing and spacious, the food was delicious and the rates were very fair. fast, efficient service and very friendly staff members. Highly recommended.

Our number one go to spot!! Drinks are phenominal and the food is delicious. Never let's us down.

We enjoyed the sharing plate and LOVED the quesadillas. The tacos al pastor were not as good but still okay. The environment was dim and loud so not a great family option but still recommend to others.

Gross. The west village needs this place as much as Union Square needs TGi Fridays.

It isn't authentication, exactly, but it is a lot of fun! Guacamole actually is the most authentic item there. Delicious. Drinks are huge.

The drinks are the best part. I got a strawberry daiquiri, sans the shot. It was so good, so sweet but enough alcohol to give me a buzz before I m halfway through. The shredded chicken quesadilla was subpar. It was lacking flavor & actually kinda bitter. I m like drowning it in sauce to makeup for it. The atmosphere is cool tho

Nice outdoor seating. Beers OK, not a huge range. Tasty nachos with excellent guacamole. Pleasant staff. Slightly overpriced but worth it if you're craving Mexican food.

Food isn't flavorful. A lot of it was really bland and lacked seasoning, including the rice and beans. My friend ordered the Salmon which came tough and overcooked. The waitress was very nice but the manager who came by was arrogant and tried to blame me when I said I didn't enjoy my meal and wanted to send it back. Wasn't going to order anything different, just not going to pay for something that doesn't even taste good.

Good food but high prices. They have a great staff with accommodating hours, but I felt like 15$+ a drink was a bit excessive

Very good, only I never found steak in the burrito; only rice and beans. But very nice and good place.

I typically don't go to places in West Village, but my friend went there the other week and recommended we go. They completely rip you off. Food was OK, nothing special about it whatsoever. The service was absolutely horrific, super slow, our waiter was rude and overcharged us for everything we got; he didn't listen to a word we were saying and kept bringing out drinks or 'extras' that we never asked for. When we tried explaining to him what we never ordered and if he could take it off the bill, he pretended like he didn't know a word of English and charged us for everything. Never going back to this place. Do yourself a favor, there are a million other Mexican restaurants around that area, go to one of those other ones.

The drinks are good, the food too good. I would return just for the drinks, the vibe of the place is great, nice music, very cool decoration. They have outside space which nice to relaxing and enjoy the sunset in Manhattan, the inside space is all in wood and lower lights, super cool. Worth to come in for the large margaritas. Management you need to work on your food quality and size of your portions, comparing that to Cantina Rooftop and other Mexicans restaurant in Manhattan your food is way below them and way more expensive.

Pay more get less caliente cab was a grate place to eat a few years ago now it's for the tourist

Caliente is always amazing, especially given the size of the margaritas. Always loved to go there on Tuesdays for half off on those giant margaritas. Happy to see that they are still doing the deal even in the midst of the pandemic. #TequilaTuesdays

THEY ARE THE WORST. Rude waiter. Left half way through our order because he had to get another tables order AFTER we waited 20 minutes. Wouldn t take more than 3 cards for a table of 8 people then proceeded to say no card without a chip and we would have to go to an ATM. Did not check up us on ONCE. Chips and salsa was $7. DO NOT GO!!!!

Food and atmosphere are good, but the guy (that I assume is the manager) was outrageously rude to some guests in our party. Have enjoyed eating at this this place a few times, but the last two visits had the same result. I'm done with them.

This is a fun little Mexican Place. It has all the mexican foods and it is so so so good! I recommend you only eat the authentic Mexican Foods. I would stay away from Seafood en Coco.. It was bland and more or less tasteless. The guac is phenomenal. Over all I would give it a 5/5!

We ve been here twice for brunch (brunch comes with two drinks for $14 for everything). The food was delicious both times as well as the drinks. 4 star rating instead of 5 because we walked in at 11:54 am and were yelled at to get out because they don t open until noon (why was everything unlocked?). Then we were waiting outside in the cold and we were waiting for them to open the doors for service and nobody ever did. We looked in the window and they were all laughing at us as well as other patrons for just standing outside in the cold when the were open. Bus boys/wait staff should also watch what they re saying because they were taking about us/other patrons negatively in Spanish. Just because I m white doesn t mean I don t understand what you re saying....

Food that is subpar and just average drinks geared towards tourists and recently moved college kids. Avoid it.

The best thing about this place are its drinks. You make a reservation and still have to wait 45mina to be seated. The food is okay but definitely not worth the wait and the staff is more annoyed by you then actually trying to be helpful and considerate of you. I dont recommend place to anyone and will not be going back.

Fun atmosphere, great service, and the AC was cranked on full! We just dropped in for some mojitos to cool off, but we will go back for food!

Ever since the remodel in 2014/15, the food is 1 to be desired. A shame. A top notch joint , now just another mex joint.

Tasty mexican restaurant with a good selection of dishes. Standard margaritas are gigantic. Outdoor seating, friendly staff, vegetarian options - all around good.

The name of this restaurant must be ironic, food further from caliente is hard to find
