Came in with a large group with no reservation lunch time on a Sunday. Place was packed but still service and food quality were excellent. Will be back!

Great little cafe with very hospitable staff. Came through for brunch on a Sunday, and had some of the best beans I've ever had. Mix with your range of cold pressed juices or coffee (naturally).

Definitely the best coffee in Darlo (.... and probably Sydney). They take their coffee seriously and it shows!

And what makes the coffee even better is the reliable and happy service - you can always count on the boys for a chat and laugh.

Oh, and it s not just the coffee! If you haven t tried it yet, definitely go the Bloody Mary Burger! A staple of Darlo!

Fantastic for breaky just had scrambled eggs with crispy bacon and sour dough that was next level!

Great coffee, but we found that the breakfasts were pretty average, and with so much choice in this area, average is not good enough to make a return trip here for breakfast again.

Found this gem just around the corner from our air bnb when on holiday. The food is great and the coffee and service is a par above the competition around the area. I highly recommend it

From the warm greeting as soon as you enter, to the efficiency of the service getting you seated and with water, you instantly know this is going to be a stand out cafe experience. With a beautifully crafted seasonal menu, a perfectly poured soy coffee (a challenge at the best of times) and timely delivery of everything, I couldn t fault my experience here.
Watching the team communicate with each other to ensure everyone was taken care of, and seeing the effort put into serving both regular and obviously novice customers was refreshing.

Food was awesome, although the poached eggs in their egg benny were a bit overdone.

Such a great find! Amazing coffee and really great service. I had the Avo Toast with eggs for brunch. They really do serve all the comfort foods perfectly, i had major food envy! Cool space right in the heart of Darlo! A must visit!

Great place for brekkie, creative tasty breakfast and lunch... Love the casual atmosphere and good service. Prices are reasonable and the coffee is great !!! For those with a discerning palate, this is the place to be rather than the overrated grounds and circus cafe.

Nothing I like more to grab my morning coffee before work and this is place is all I like. Friendly staff, great coffee and when I have time I treat myself with some breakie. Never use which one to grab as they are all so tasty. I love the little personal touch they add to it. Nothing over the top but just a nice breakfast made with love and care.

Have been to Bloodhound a few times and past up on the Bloody Mary Burger each time. Caught up with a few friends here on Saturday and finally got to try it. Really good burger, awesome service & great vibe. Highly recommend this joint!

Decent coffee, unfortunately there is no cold brews which was slightly disappointing for a hot summer's day. The decor and atmosphere are great and the service was very friendly.

Good atmosphere, food was pretty good although long wait time and slightly old tasting roll but overall great food, shame about the service if the staff put in as much effort to customers as they do their staff it would have been an overall great experience, it felt like we were interrupting their Sunday morning come down, the blonde female waitress was to busy attaining to eating her own breakfast while serving and flapping over a tattooed man, and then when asked where our food was the response it willl be with you when it will be with you. Great potential hopefully this joint stays San the inexperienced team!

Best batch brew and cappuccino in Sydney! Been there almost everyday since arriving in Sydney and love the place not just for its coffee and food but also for the chilled out atmosphere. Matt, the owner is the sweetest guy ever and makes you feel right at home.

Exactly what the area of Darlinghurst needed. Have never had a bad experience, consistently great coffee, warm and accommodating staff and awesome food. Whether you're a local or want to make the drive, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Best bacon and egg roll I ve ever had, amazing relish

Stopped in for lunch. Menu is small but solid offering of breakfast and lunch options. I had the breakfast bowl which was absolutely delicious. Quality fresh ingredients, great flavours and very satisfying. Coffee was also solid. Excellent service by all of the staff - who were all warm and friendly and on the ball. I ll be back.

This is probably my 2nd or 3rd rating ever, but had to give this place 5 stars. Coffee, food, and staff are all amazing every time I come here. If you happen to stumble upon this place consider yourself lucky

Hands down my favourite cafe in Sydney. I look forward to getting my coffee here every weekend (often a few times each day). The food is always outstanding, it's impossible to make a bad order and the service is personal and genuine. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Came for brunch around 11.30, menu is minimal, which is not a bad thing but 3 out of the 6 things on the lunch menu are burgers/sandwiches. Breakfast menu is basic.

We opted for Bloodhound Brekky Plate, got told that it's sold out which wouldn't be a bad thing but considering it was the only interesting item on the menu we weren't staying.

We made our coffee orders to go. They have a window for to go coffees which is smart. The Manager/owner explained and apologised for the inconvenience.

For the most part the coffee is quality. Really nice, smooth and bodied.

Like a 'hole in the wall' kind of place. Nice basic menu, if you like it grease or healthy they have it covered.
Separate window for take away helps keep the cafe clear and comfortable.

The first day was for lunch.
The flat white and ice long black and rice in the shop at that time were very delicious. It was a star 5 if only this.

The day was taken out both Ice Long Black and Flat White, and the taste still felt like it was usually delicious because the amount changed.

Today's batch, Flat White, was usually delicious.
I want to drink a large amount, but I like the taste regular, so I wanted to try a large double ristretto, but I was disappointed that I was not able to do it.

Very good weekend standard.

Menu has changed recently, and while it removed my favourite cheese toastie, their BAE roll is always a great eating experience. I haven t had the burger yet, but it also looks really fantastic.

Came from out of town and we got lucky having this place near our apartment! The brekkie bowl is amazing and all of the staff are so friendly. We didn t even try to find a new place the next morning - just came back to bloodhound thank you Matt!!

I'm so lucky I live so close to this gem of a cafe! Coffee is good and the menu is small but everything is done well and Matt and his team are great. Gets busy during peak times (i.e. Sunday mornings), but a great place to get some work done or read a book during quieter periods.

Nice place, food is fine, but man! Do something with that looooong waiting :/ Today I had to leave without breakfast, because the waiter didn t even come. And also, I don t get the idea of serving some guests with water and some not? Does everybody have to ask for that? This absolutely ruins the impression. #facepalm

To answer Matts question: I have visited the place twice. First day I was a lucky dog , because I got my ordered breakfast (but not the water as the other guests). I have waited pretty long also that day, but ok, the place was a bit busy. Anyway - I have waited ages for the flat white. The day after there were 6 people when I visited. And nobody came to my table at all. I am sorry to write this, trust me, but the service really wasn t good.
