I would say that this is a pretty good Mexican restaurant, but only if I had come upon it at a mall in Ohio. This establishment delivers incredibly bland dishes at exorbitant prices, which I suppose they get away with by virtue of their location. They could literally repackage and serve Taco Bell here and never have an empty table. Do yourself a favor and keep walking.

Randomly stumbled upon this Mexican treat while out with some friends. Who wouldn't have fun taking selfies with the vintage can parked out front?

The food was well put together and delicious! Drinks are good and they sure do know how to mix a proper Mojito! Service was decent, especially for a packed house, which happens quite often and for good reason too!

I would recommend going here for a good summer night out to be filled with delicious chimichangas and drinks!

I've been here a few times before but today was the worst, it was a party of 9 of us we waited 45 minutes to an hour to get seated after being told that there was no room only to come inside to an empty restaurant... never again

Came in with moderately high expectations based on other's reviews and left very disappointed.

1. Everything was over-spiced/seasoned with the same crappy "fajita spice". Beans, chicken, steak, sauces, etc.
2. The "Spanish rice" was way undercooked and had corn, peas, and carrots.
3. Have to pay for chips and salsa? Really? That is sacrilege.
4. 24 oz. "signature cocktails" were pretty weak for the price tag
5. Tortillas were dry and waxy, tasted "artificial"

Overall, just a really underwhelming meal for the price we paid: $100 for two people with drinks, 1 appetizer, and ala carte tacos & rice/beans.

I came to caliente cab to celebrate my friend birthday, and my server gizelle was amazing, her service made my friend celebration more fun. She was so attentive. The music the best & molcajate platter was a hit. I recommend it. Will come for brunch.

The food and drinks were pretty disgusting. Worst michelada I've ever had, but the real disappointment was in the service. The manager needs to take a class in hospitality and customer service.

Caliente Cab is an excellent restaurant. They have good food and great service. If you are looking to spend some time in the village, I would definitely recommend Caliente Cab for dinner or a hot date.

Have many happy memories of this place. Me and my husband would come here almost exclusively for the pineapple margaritas (highly recommended in the tall glass on ice). The drinks are a bit pricey but very much worth it, the food and ambiance are great, next time we come to visit NYC this is one of the first places we're returning to!

Very nice place with great food and ambiance, especially if you end up sitting in their back patio. It's a great place, and since it's all the way in the back, it is very quiet and blocks most of the city noise. The place is a little pricey, but worth it.
The back patio has a movable roof, which is pretty cool. It rained a bit, so they covered it, and even that didn't change the ambiance.

Went for Mother s Day and had a great time. Got amazing guac, medium salsa, taco salad in a delicious crunch bowl, and the margaritas are VERY generously sized. Very very nice servers and attentive too. I d definitely come back!

Okay can i say this is one of my fave places to go the food is good but the drinks are fantastic and for such a big size you pay so little. If I remember for some drinks you get to keep the caliente cups and those cups are huge.

i recall this place having OK margaritas, OK food, and OK service. i also recall being really drunk by the time we left. i've had better mexican food, and homemade margaritas are, of course, tastier, but this is a fun place to go with a group of people - especially tourists. i also recall it being pretty expensive, as well. more like a chain experience - not really the place to go if someone's looking for something authentic and local, but good to go to if you have a picky eater who just wants the same thing they usually get back home.

This place doesn't have the best food or the best drinks. But it might just be the best value for brunch in the city, and certainly in the village. Brunch with full entree and 2 drinks is $14! That's the price of a single cocktail at most bars in the area, so I was enormously grateful for my delicious frozen margarita and not-mindblowing-but-still-tasty breakfast sandwich.
