To the three young ladies who did the princesses last night at the Zoo lights "New years eva" my daughter Eva fell in love with the characters you played so exceptionally well. Thank You so much for that and for her!!!!

The calgary zoo is amazing, so many animals to go see. You can definitely spend an entire day here. I have a membership and go several times a month and see different things each time, different animals are active at different times of the day so if you go more than twice in a year a membership more than pays for itself

First time being in a zoo for over 15 years, was extremely happy with the example that the Calgary Zoo is, was very educational to see all of the animals looking quite happy and content in their specialized environment. Great staff great atmosphere. if I could leave a 5-star review just for the Komodo dragon stare-down I had my day would be complete. Even the apes were friendly.

Calgary Zoo has many exhibits and makes a great day out with friends, partners, or family! Not to mention the new Panda Passage that they ve built for our new residents for the next 5 years! They also have lots of events going on during the day (both weekday and weekends), so try to plan ahead and catch the ones that you re interested in - like feeding the penguins!

If you re a Calgary resident or you visit the zoo more than twice a year, I highly suggest purchasing a basic zoo membership as it pays for itself and covers the $10 parking fee that you re required to pay each time you park. If you upgrade to Engage or Inspire membership, you also get discounts at the restaurants and concession stands!

Lots of parking spots are also available - but be mindful that on a nice sunny weekend, it s impossible to find a spot even with the humongous lots! The zoo is also easily accessible by the C-train and stops at the entrance.

Overall great experience , disappointing that all vendors were closed for the season on a beautiful September day. Very clean and well kept animals are clearly very well taken care of and loved. Would definitely go back

Went once, and I have to say that it's a truly world class facility. Definitely worth the membership or the tourist visit. We went on the May long weekend with the first introduction of the Pandas, so peak people, and we had no issues with anything including washrooms. Core clientele are dates, families and strange old people. Really loved it.

We went there to see the Christmas lights. It was incredible. I loved the different themes around the zoo. There were campfires to warm yourself up while walking. There was lots to do from axe throwing to face painting and ice skating. We paid $20 for admission and $10 for parking. I would go there again.

We have had passed to the zoo for 3 years and counting. I really love that not only do you get to see a huge variety of animals, there are also really fun play structures for kids. Some of the enclosures are especially interesting (lemurs and pandas).

A great zoo that tries hard to develop good habitats for the animals and do a ton of conservation work to help rebuild populations for at risk species. I've worked with them and they are a great organization and all the staff genuinely care about the organization and animals!

Who doesn't like pandas, penguins, giraffes, camels, butterflies, bears, moose, wolves, monkeys, cougars, eagles, owls, flamingos, elephants, hippos, and more??? I'm sure I missed a few other animals but there are definitely a lot of animals at the Calgary zoo! The zoo is accessible by car (plenty of parking available in their parking lot) and by light rail.

Great zoo. Not too busy even on their busy days. Plenty of bathrooms, though not all wheelchair accessible. Helpful staff and volunteers. Two playgrounds for the kids, and a sandbox at the dinosaur area

I can't comment on the zoo on a regular basis as I have never been there but the Christmas lights were outstanding. It's pretty pricey to get in and they also charge you for parking so for three of us it was $75.

The staff should probably be aware of the times thing start. There should also be better signage indications members only including in gift shops. Disappointed overall with the lack of education of people working here

Calgary Zoo is an amazing experience that puts the animals wellbeing first. Of you haven't been to zoo lights before I highly recommend it. Prices are fair considering the mouths they have to feed

We visited here in the spring, we were a little disappointed because we traveled in from Cranbrook BC, called before hand and asked how active the animals were and if they were all out due to the colder weather. The lady I spoke to assured me that all the animals were very active. So we traveled to Calgary, got a hotel room and visited the zoo only to find out that the majority of the animals were not active at all and to top it off, a good portion of the exhibits were closed due to construction. A waste of our time and money.

There are many different animals and the layout is well done. my favorite part is the dinosaurs! Food is expensive and really nice weather attracts lots of people, so try to go when its a bit cooler. Zoolights are a great experience for all ages!

Absolutely beautiful & clean zoo. Lots to see & do! Playground area(s) is impressive! However, admission prices are now very expensive for a family to visit & coupons/discounts are virtually non existent now (ie: SUTP coupons, etc.). Would love to visit more than once a year but $150+ for a small family, turns us away.

Having the self serve admission pay area is a nice touch & convenient.

The animals were very active today, which makes the experience so much better. The penguins interact with the patrons. My kids loved them. That said, is a little expensive with it choosing $100 for a family of 4 with little kid

Kids and adults will love it. Went for the Pandas and they were quite good. We loved the hippos giraffes and gorillas as well. About the only part that was just OK was the prehistoric area - I thinks it's time has come and needs an update or replacement. You can go to Drumheller for all your Dinosaur needs instead.

A great place for a walk, to see the animals and for your kids to play. If you have children it's fantastic and the season passes give so much value. They opened a new playground that is another great addition. It's too bad the Panda's had to go. Their enclosure was magnificent, and they're such adorable creatures to observe.

Terrible customer service. I asked for 3 membership and parking for a year. They gave me two adults Connect and 1 kid engage. When I came for the first visit I asked at the desk how did I setup my license place. The person checked my memberships again and said I just had to enter the system and do the setup until midnight that same day. I tried to setup with no success. I called the Zoo and Just then, checking my memberships again they told me I did not have the year around parking included!! The person was rude and started to tell me about all the detail of their policy as If I was part of the Zoo staff. No help or understanding at all. Now I am just waiting to receive the parking ticket. I am definitely NOT RENEWING this membership. STAY AWAY.

I guess people who gave a good review have never seen a REAL ZOO before. limited kinds of animals there and at least 30% of the zoo is closed for some reason. Paid around 100$ just admission fees for 2 adult and 2 kids. Too little value for the price. I gave 2 stars for its clean and organized well.

Huge amount to look at and explore, I thought the Canada section was the whole zoo until I walked around and made it back to the map! Highlight for me is the penguin area as they come right up to you to say hi!

We had a great time! The cheeseburgers were awesome, so glad we could rent a wagon and the animals did not disappoint. I like how the staff do little informal information sessions about various animals while they are fed.

Calgary ZOO LIGHTING fantastic show in winter time to explore only zoo premises. All around complete ZOO illuminated with thousands of tiny LED bulbs. Children can enjoy only if they are comfortable with -1 to -20 deg C temp range as per actual weather forecast on the day of visit. Wear necessary winter appropriate clothing. For children take extra precautions and carry additional warmth jacket/blenket etc..

The Calgary Zoo is an awesome way to spend the afternoon. Personally my favourite feature is the enmax conservatory - especially when the butterflies are out. It's a tropical oasis in the city.
