The pandas are amazing! Make sure to get a stuffed one in the gift shop. So cute! This is one of the best zoos we ve been to. Tons of animals and they were all out and active. The dinosaur section is fun too for the little ones. Pandas are a must see as is the dragon. Super clean and tons of things to eat and snack on.

Despite the rain and cooler day, the Zoo was still a great visit. Beautiful gardens and the pandas are adorable. The drawback was the price of food - but to be expected. Pack a lunch and water bottles to make the best of a visit.

3 stars because we needed a electric wheelchair. Called ahead they said they would hold one, got there and asked before we paid to make sure it was there and ready, sure enough when we got down there there was not one wheelchair available.
*bring your own liquids and snacks.
* if your a smoker, have fun funding the designated smoking spots.
*wear sneakers because it is very hilly

World class venue. We visit for dates, social meetings, and weddings. The staff here is very knowledgeable. Grounds are always kept clean. Area is well organized to facilitate movement. The design appeals to every age group. Animals are well kept.

Always fantastic. We visit every two years, this time was for the pandas. Cost has gone up significantly plus there is a $10 parking charge unless you have a membership. It is a expensive day but in my mind well worth it. You can save some cash by bringing in a lunch and drinks. Our favorite is the penguins. No more elephants anymore.

Loved this zoo. Great place to go with family or even kids. Well kept and followed rules of having masks and had hand sanitizing stations at every part of the zoo. Garbage cans after every few steps. Pandas were not seen. But i am sure i will definitely come back and see those lovely pandas!

First time going to calgary zoo to see the lights with my Mom. We both loved it! The weather was chilly but tolerable. It was a lovely night. A bit pricey but with 2million lights lit, it was worth it. Good for family, dates and groups of people.

This is the second largest zoo in Canada as far as I know. It is quite expensive and impressive. The zoo is rather dated and there are still recovering from the flood of 2013, however it is still a great place to take kids. There is not that many bathrooms so make sure you use them if you see one.

Very nice place for everyone, even as a couple without children we really enjoyed the place. It's very sad that the panda expo was closed due to the animals moving back to China but animal wellbeing comes 1st.
I was very pleased by the numbers of items available for the animal to interact with in each cage.
However, I found that physical distancing was a bit lacking and pathway not always very clear having to walk back quite a few time not to miss anything

Panda Passage is so good! I've hadn't been in years and was really impressed with the updates (especially after the 2013 flood). I had a surprisingly good lunch at Grazers and just visited St. George's Island - the lemurs and conservatory stood out.

Awesome place, went with family and everyone liked it. Main attraction for us were the penguins and the prehistoric area(only for me). We couldn't see the whole zoo as some parts were under construction...

Awesome! Panda fever is on! It was kind of hot when I visited so the leopards and some other animals didn't want to come outside. The peafouls were roaming free about 11:15am (didn't see them after that), beautiful as always. I saw the tiger feeding at 1:00pm (Sit on the road near the enclosure to get a closer look), loved it. The lemurs were cute! The Penguins splash a lot! *giggles*

The Calgary Zoo has an amazing variety of animals with really great, expansive exhibits for them to reside in. There is a lot to see, as well as lots of shows usually happening, so it's easy to spend the whole day here. There are also plenty of restrooms and opportunities to stop for refreshments along the way. Perfect for animal lovers to take pictures, learn about the animals and enjoy the environment!

Love the place but a bit too pricey. Unless you're a member I don't think it is fair to pay the price more than once + Plus parking. At least if they include parking it will be worth it.

Great experience. Try to get there before 10 am on busy days so you can see a lot of animals moving rather than napping. The dinosaur park needs a bit of an overhaul but it is still entertaining.

What can I say it's the Calgary's zoo it's always amazing! I took my two kids there last weekend and we had a fantastic time. The zoo gets better and better as time goes by, check it out next time you're in Calgary you won't be disappointed.

Super fun! But they've got too many little playgrounds for kids now. Which means tantrums every single time you pass by one. We love the animals it's so worth it! Get pass if you can you won't want to go just once!

Zoolights!!

Zoolights!!

Our first time going! Definitely will go again. We got to see so much with the lights, and still missed out on lots. Was extra cold today, that kind of chill that stings your face, but was still definitely worth it. Kids had fun with minor whining, especially with all the warm spots to stop at on the way to everything. Lady gave our little family and some other teens a ride on the carousel even though she was already closed, told us she usually keeps it open a little later so the last of the folk don't miss out, such a sweetheart. Great staff all the way.

The only animals that were out late in the cold was the snow leopards snoozing against the glass, which was a nice surprise. So cute!! <3

The staff was lovely and I believe that they care deeply about the animals. Everything was clean and there are doing a lot for COVID. However, the cages were way too small for the number of animals and there was not a lot of hiding space for the animals to hide from the stressful people looking at them 2meters away. Also, the zebra were right in front of the lion and there is no visual barrier which might become stressful at times. Highly disappointed about those facts.

Had so much fun with the family. The penguins were one of my favs, the pandas were awesome and the kids were engaged all day. Walking around with the lemurs was pretty neat too. So much to see, can't wait to go back

Love the zoo!!! New dinosaur exhibit is awesome. Be sure to hit the penguins in the way into the zoo as that building closes earlier than the rest of the zoo. Better signage on the hours of that building would be appreciated. My kids were pretty bummed about not seeing the penguins.

We ve been season pass holders for a few years now. Love that we can take our kids for a few hours or the whole day. They love it here and we are grateful to have this zoo in our city!

The Calgary Zoo is always a great experience whether you go alone, with a friend, or your family. While it is comparable pricing to other amusment parks the zoo offers alot of education and information about the animals they care for, this is good for children especially because they host many events through out the day.

The Calgary Zoo is a wonderful place to go no matter what! They keep everything super clean, and they take amazing care of the animals and facilities. I have been going to the Calgary Zoo since I was a kid and I will always go back.

They have plenty of different species to 'look at' and learn about. I am a huge animal lover so it's nice to see them working really hard to make sure each life is loved and cared for. The Calgary Zoo also works hard with conservations and breeding programs for endangered species which is awesome and definitely makes the trip even more special! They also have a Facebook page!

Pretty animals and very interesting. I've not been big on zoos but this was better than most zoos they had toys for the animals and gave some of the animals friends cause they are social. I'm still not big on zoos but this one is pretty cool to go to.(I recommend going to a place sanctuary)

Amazing facility. So much care and attention is paid to the upkeep of the enclosures and to the well being of the animals. And the place keeps upgrading! With all that in mind, they've still kept the historic dinosaur trail which I a nice blast from the past. Even with annual passes, you can't go too much! They're well worth it too; three trips and they've paid for themselves. Canadian wilds is a nice trek through our own backyard. Everything is so informative too. Cannot recommend highly enough! Go to the Zoo!

They have a large variety of animals and plants to see, plus the prehistoric area has statues of dinosaurs. If you want to see the whole park, plan to be there for the day and make sure you have comfortable shoes. There are also plenty of places to rehydrate and feed yourself to keep your energy levels up.

Had a particularly epic day at the Calgary Zoo. I was shocked at how easy it was to get to. 10 minutes and $3.40 from downtown with light rail transit meant that we were at the zoo's ticket counter in under 30 minutes after deciding to go. (I'm used to the Toronto Zoo, where you have to plan ahead and go early because it's tough to get to, especially if you don't drive.)

So many different animals from around the world to learn about and admire.

Walking within the aviary with a few owls just hanging about was an incredible experience!

And I really enjoyed seeing the penguins. For whatever reason they make me giggle just watching them waddle around.

We've been coming to the zoo for years. It's incredible to see how much it's grown and changed since I was a child. It's tough to say whether it's the kids or me who get more excited when we have the chance to spend a day here. Regardless of the season, time of day, or weather, we've always found a lot to do and see during our times here. A big highlight is coming during the winter months for Zoolights.

Very small enclosures. Expensive. Paid parking. Line ups and extra charges to get into places. Poorly laid out. Disappointed. Have not been since the flood, not making a special trip to visit again.
