Very nice venue as we attended a Flames game, but the bathrooms are ridiculously crammed during intermissions. There aren't enough available for the amount of people. It wasn't even a packed house!

Though a bit outdated for this era, still has a familiar feel and is an iconic architectural structure. Is only missing better and cheaper parking spots, but hopefully the new arena will be a great replacement!

Fun!

Pros: shaped like a saddle

We came for the Battle of Alberta - Calgary Flames vs Edmonton Oilers preseason game and had a great time. Concessions served very good food and arena staff were very helpful and friendly. The restrooms were clean. We parked next door, in the casino underground lot, which worked perfectly for us.

The dome is a great place to be for hockey games, but that's about it.

The building is very dated. It has poor sound properties for concerts, which usually means any band there just cranks the volume to 11. There's quite the hike from the train station if you're avoiding the parking gouge, and an even longer trip up the stairs if you're sitting press level.

Beer is always ridiculously expensive and seems to go up by another 2 bucks every year. Beer tax doesn't increase the price of a beer that much, stop using it to rip off your customers.

Not everyone knows about the Chrysler Club...yet. If you have a special occasion or a client you want to treat then you need to try this venue out for the Flames games.
The whole set up is around a premium experience with all kinds of levels for various options. Depending on the cash outlay, will give you more or less to experience such as meeting a player, seeing a locker room and even getting an embossed jersey. You can pick pretty much ala carte.
I had the pleasure of the Goal Judge experience. What a terrific surprise. First the service was stellar. The food was even better. There was a lot to eat and this level of food is typically reserved for high end restaurants. It was good enough to go for just the food, especially on nights when the Flames are not playing well!
I was amazed at how much food was available in our package and even in seat dining with even more options.
By the way the seats were also great. Again, some flexibility there but that is where you may want to check out the website for the various options.
If you are a drinker, which I am not, the alcohol was included and again a great variety and very good quality options. I didn't drink that much because I was too busy with extra desserts.
I could not find a single thing that I would complain about unless it was all the little Flames trinkets and extras. They were on our table with our names, before we were seated.
After the game, we went and met one of the players and he was really good about answering questions and not making us feel rushed. The pictures taken by the professional photographer were emailed to us the next day.
And while this is a glowing review, I do not and am not affiliated with the Flames in any way. I just believe when things are done right, they should be noted and given a great rating.
I will definitely look into an experience again.
Many will ask about the costs. That is a pretty relative thing. I would say the costs are mid-level to upper level in terms of pricing. The big thing to keep in mind is the value. In my mind, it isn't something I could afford monthly, but if you wanted food, drink and extras alone, it would easily be over $100 per person. Add a great seat and I would say that is how you figure out the value. (Don't forget all the other extras.)
I thought it was worth it.

Really nice place to go with your family.

Really nice place to go with your family.
It is not allowed to take food and drinks from home. If you need to eat or drink you have to buy in the available restaurants there.

I came here to attend the Paul Brandt journey tour with a friend. It was my first time being here and was not surprised by how large it was and well contained. We parked in a back lot and had no problem getting in or out which surprised me because in other concerts I've attended at different arenas it's a bit of a wait to pull out with everyone trying to leave at once. We were in section 219 and had a bit of an issue finding our seats because they couldnt be accessed by either side of the section, you had to be on the other side we entered in a poorly marked spot to get to them because the arena decided to put 2 chairs in the middle of the walkway, and the ushers didnt seem to know where to find them. We were in row 12 and had plenty of leg room and the seats themselves were fairly comfortable. I was unimpressed that we had to pay $15 for parking though.

I love the saddledome! Last season (2017-18) I saw 2 regular season flames games. Unfortunately, they lost both games. They fell 3-6 to the Florida Panthers and 4-7 to the San Jose Sharks. The ice cream and burgers are delicious. Even way up in the press level, you have a good view and can see all of the ice, just like on TV. The tickets are very pricey, but you are buying more than a ticket, you are buying an experience. But in 2023 there will be a new arena on 12 avenue. I m really going to miss the dome ):

Fun place to watch a game. Don't get seats in the third tier as you have a hard time viewing the ice during flames games and language can get salty up there if you bring kids. Better go to the 2nd tier fit flames. For Roughnecks games this is great for all ages

A well built arena with fairly friendly staff. the arena has a very poor selection of vendors for food most of them are just another booth with the exact same menu. The sound quality in the stands is very tiny, and echoes. on the bright side any seat gives you a good view of the ice. If you enjoy having items sold to you while in the stands you will not be disappointed there are several vendors making rounds in the stands.
