The views are good, but the concourse gets really busy during Flames games. Press level is not easily accessible, lots of stairs to climb, and the elevators are very, very well hidden.

We attended a "family" Hitmen game, organized by daycare, for which we were required to purchase tickets through Eventbrite, and then pick up tickets at the stadium.

When we arrived at the stadium, small children in tow, security and staff were rude, unhelpful, and made it very clear that we were bothering them by having been given the wrong information. It was as though they wanted to teach us a lesson for being "bad customers" and for making them work.

The Hitmen have been trying to increase attendance for years. The stadium was less than 1/3 full for the entirety of the game, and we arrived at the beginning of the second period. The security staff and ushers were standing around doing nothing, which made this treatment even more noticeably unacceptable, particularly in front of our small chikdren. We had demonstrable proof of having paid for tickets, with no information as to where to pick up the actual tickets. Turns out, the ushers had the information, they just wanted to make sure we knew we were bothering them and interrupting their standing around time.

Hopefully someone in management for the Hitmen reads this and shares with your marketing team why your ticket sales are what they are.

As a side note, there's also no reason for the concession prices to be what they are ($27 for a popcorn and 2 drinks). Add to this the cost of the tickets themselves, plus parking (after experiencing unhelpful ushers and rude security) and you've created a "never again" memory for a family, even though the game itself was fun.

The addition of Spolumbos is for sure a plus here. This place is getting older but still is good for shows and sports. Easily gets crowded. The hallways are small and the bathrooms are few.

Fun.

When planning my trip, I made sure a visit to the Saddledome was included in the itinerary. I went to the season opener for the Calgary Flames and had a great time. Security wasn't bad as I entered and met some great people too. The food selection isn't bad and the beer selection was better. Even if you aren't a Flames fan, you need to go for the atmosphere. So much fun!!

Calgary needs a new arena so bad, not enough restrooms (sometimes 20 min waits) never know when last call is for liquor, artist usually bypass Calgary in general due to the outdated structural supports for their shows, I'm not a smoker but banning that from the arena is rediculous they just smoke in the bathrooms now

This place is insanely expensive! They charge way too much for parking and the parking lot is a gong show! You would think that if they have the nerve to openly rip you off, at least it should be a somewhat pleasant experience. IT WAS NOT!

Amazing vibe, all the classic choice for food (actually decently priced!)

As a tourist & newcomer - id recommend getting the popcorn with butter! Download the Saddledome app for an EPIC experience.

I sat in my chair and for $1 extra you can have a whole food order delivered to your seat! Or even merchandise! (I got a jersey delivered as a souvenir.)

Amazing place to visit (see a game) !

My first Hockey Experience ever was in the home of the Calgary Flames at the ScotiaBank Saddledome.

It was a well planned event especially with the Jersey hanging of Jerome Iginla.

All staff of the Saddledome are friendly, ready to help and well coordinated.

Such a large number of food vendors too.

My love for hockey is ignited. Trust me it s not the same as seen on TV !

Only tricky thing as any huge event is parking.

Cool

This was a great example of a fire hazard. The hallways were cramped, and the foot traffic couldn t move. Our seats were on the 2nd level and oh boy did it take 30+ minutes to get up there. There was no rhyme or reason to how they directed that foot traffic. Concessions were impossible to get to, and the beer lines were long and slow.

If you re going to an Alberta event, choose Edmonton. It s much easier and safer to boot

Everyone says this place needs upgrades but I say they re boujie. This is a great arena with a wide range in terms of its seating capacity. It can host the Brier and NHL hockey games as well as the NLL.

It s a bit of a concrete jungle but what will it take to upgrade? Accessible via the Calgary transit line, the C train, and lots of parking available.

Drove in to see the Pittsburgh Penguins play & what a result!!! Close location to the hotel I was at, entry was simple but there was 1 guard who was incredibly rude (I was told he was new to the job but still), amenities close by.

I attended Day 1 of the JW Convention - Be Courageous and it was phenomenal. The parking attendants, staff were kind and grounds were clean inside and out plus the event itself was great!

Very old and in need of a major overhaul. The nose bleed section needs better accessibility to washrooms. I think security does a great job holding the crowd down but there are always some people that make it harder for others to enjoy themselves. Guess that's just a product of alcohol mixed with idiot. Other then that nothing much to say.

Awesome. Love the fact that is visually represents Calgary so well with the saddle. Lots of spirit in this place. The typical overpriced beer and crowdedness but that's normal for such a size. I wouldn't recommend sitting at the vey back facing the stage for concerts as the acoustics are terrible and give no justice to the performer. Hope they keep it around awhile longer.
