It's old...30+ years old and it shows. Calgary needs a new arena. No room to move on the concourse, no enough washrooms or lounge areas. I could go on and on...At least the flames played well.

Old POS arena, inferior design limits the shows that can be held because of stupid saddle dome roof, most big acts don't come because roof structure will not support enough equipment, probably the worst arena in the NHL after Rexall place in Edmonton, which is being replaced by the state of the art Rogers Place which will vault Edmonton to the top of the list for arenas in the NHL, which will see them remain, the go to venue in Alberta

A seriously amazing experience watching the hockey game. The atmosphere is electric with tons of people cheering and the dome erupts after every point. A save? You'll hear cheers. A point scored against Calgary? There's still applause. It's the people that make it such a fun experience! You can actually feel the heat from the "fire cannons" after the flames score. The whole stadium is spectacularly red, from the lighting to the fan jerseys. A husky will fire out jerseys during the game too! How that dog got a firearm license is beyond me. The view from all sections gives you a decent view of the game so no need to worry about visibility (they also have huge TV screens for sections farther from the rink).

Intermission means a flood of people heading to the washrooms so there is 100% a line for every single washroom. They have metal detectors before you enter the dome as well and you're not allowed to bring in food/drink.

Food sold there is alright, beer, mac n cheese, fries, pretzels, your typical game food. They did have vegetarian options though. There's plenty of stalls strewn around the hallways with vendors walking up the stairway to sell directly at your seat.

Some issues I have are with the hallways leading to the seats + the seats themselves. The Saddledome wasn't even fully filled and there were issues with getting out after the game. There's just so little room to move around that you're squished. Also getting to your seat in the middle of a row is seriously annoying. There's very little room to walk past other people so try to get tickets on the edge of the row. My tickets were 240$ for 2 people in section 2 but that can vary.

It's definitely aging consider Calgary's population but it does the job. Space issues and the overall look is industrial. That said, you'll have a great time despite these small issues. It's a must go and the facility itself shouldn't stop you from relaxing and having a blast at the Saddledome! So much fun!

It was a great place to watch a game they are family orientated and my daughter and myself had a great time watching a Roughnecks lacrosse game. My only complaint is $10 beer come on guys you can almost get a 6 pk for that.

I came here for my first time in May to see twenty one pilots. The concert was amazing, but the venue itself was impressive as well. The building is well designed, it was very easy to find my section and it wasn't overly crowded everywhere despite there being 20 000 or so people there. It was pretty clean for a venue that size, there was no old food on the ground or the seats or anything. The floor was sticky and I couldn't put my bag down but that's inevitable with a venue that size. Overall, it was a very good place for a concert, it was very enjoyable and I'll definitely be back for more events.

Watched Luke Bryan this weekend and it was an amazing show!!! Seats could use a cup holder, as it was tricky to balance stuff, and hold your drinks at the same time. Especially when other people had to go in and out of the rows. The visual there was good. Snacks are yummy, pricing not the best for drinks!!

while they have really stepped their game up recently adding new concessions and updating their app to allow in seat delivery, a new arena really is needed as they can only do so much with the existing building. Regardless I have always had a fantastic time at the saddle-dome and the staff is always very professional and friendly. If you are looking to treat yourself make a reservation in one of their full service restaurants, you won't be disappointed.

THEY SHOULD BE USING THEIR OWN MONEY TO BUILD A NEW ARENA NOT TAX PAYERS DOLLER CONSIDERING HOW OVER PRICED EVERYTHING IS AND THE FACT THAT THEY KICKED OUT ALL CALGARY BUSINESSES OUT OF THE DOME AND MADE IT SO IT WAS ONLY SELLING THEIR BRANDS. HORRIBLE SELFISH COMPANY JUST TAKE FROM THE COMMUNITY NOT GIVING BACK.

Being a person with a disability we came in the bottom doors thru the bar area. Then found out our seats were up a level and there was no elevator. We had to take a cramped crowded staircase. I don't do well with stairs and not that fast but made it up. I hope the new stadium is going to be more accessible.

I was very disappointed with my experience...I was there last night (June 25) To see Cher in concert. I needed to relieve myself extremely bad and I was not given the time of day by any of the staff there when I asked for a washroom...when after 20 minutes of pushing my way through crowds and passing 4 ladies washrooms I finally found a mens room with a line up that would at least make me stand again for 20 plus mins...when I opted that It was either Run out side and relieve myself (mind you this was a last resort cause it was that OR pee myself right there) Well when I tried to get back into the venue I was denied Access....after spending 520 dollars for a VIP ticket...which didn't give much for VIP anything.... I didnt even get to see Cher ... this really sucks. Cause I spent so much money to see her and just because I ran out to pee and not have a smoke I wasn't allowed back in. What kind of venue has no Porta potties or additional bathrooms for events like this??? I vote 0 stars ...but this thing doesnt let me...

The Flames are a garbage team with a "proud legacy" of crashing the goalie and exploiting the NHL's inconsistent rules applied to them. Good luck thinking Neal will produce another record season in this environment! LoL!!

Great for hockey games. Could probably use a larger arena for the flames and a better shaped building for concerts but I don't really have any complaints about this facility. It is close to downtown, right on the train line and has lots of parking.

The place is nice, clean, comfortable to see the games from any place.
But the food for sale inside is expencive, and don't allow you to bring nothing in, neither WATER!!!...be ready to spend on parking,$15 to $20, and to use transit for a family of 4, is even more expensive than go in your comfortable car.

Saddledome stadium in Calgary. Typically hockey games, and sports games are played here of different variety. Signage is clear and easy to follow. Is typically very busy with lots of people. Lots of staff to help you. Security is good. Please note once inside you cannot leave the building to smoke (During Flames games) . Food and beer available. Extremely pricey.

You morons need to start winning more games!!

You morons need to start winning more games!!

Be violent and make a point to deliberately injure the other teams, so that you win.
And beat up some referee's while you're at it! We all know the games are rigged.
