Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel Review

Convenient, attached to convention center. Awesome whiskey bar in the lobby. Service was typical to most major hotels. Clean and classy rooms with great views.

So fancy. Heavily overpriced. But is beautiful. And room service menu is amazing. Loved the food.

Good accessibility to the Convention Centre. Corporate sales and catering staff are awesome.

Stoppee by for a few drinks at the attached lounge. Such a unique place, definitely will be back again.

For a hotel downtown it was not horrendously priced (at least split 4 ways). Best part was that one of the cleaning ladies remade the makeshift bed I made out of the couch -- fresh sheets and all. They deserve a raise.

In the heart of Calgary, across the street from the iconic tower, great location with easy access to excellent dining,shopping and transit.

Came here for a con. Everything was clean and rooms were nice

Great conference rooms, well laid out. The hotel was easy to find, and still ready to access even amid renovations.

The Marriot is a great upscale hotel in the heart of downtown. Great scenic views of the city from the upper floors.

A lovely hotel in the Downtown area. I stayed in a King Executive room on the top floor, but sadly the views aren't anything special - even at the top.

The rooms were well furnished although they felt a little dated and worn.

The executive lounge (M Club) was spacious with the standard range of snacks, canapes and (alcoholic) beverages.

The lobby restaurant offers breakfast (additional cost), lunch and dinner. They also have a formidable range of Whiskeys available for a reasonable price.

Pristine rooms, Friendly staff, awesome amenities, very accommodating. Overall a great experience. Looking forward to coming back!!

Great rooms and reasonable price. Only comeplaint is the pool is kinda gross and the hottub iant even hot

Very nice large room with nice sitting area, great bathroom, fantastic location. Very modern decor and has all the amenities but you have to pay extra for some. If you don't use valet parking it is a walk from parka de but weekend rate is very reasonable for downtown Calgary. An enjoyable experience

A very nice well kept venue, great for all sorts of conferences. It's a space available for those who need it. I'm not sure of pricing, but I imagine it is an expensive place to book.

The staff is so friendly and the food is five star quality I love that everything is so hi-tech and all together was a amaxing experience 10/10 I would go back again

Top notch hotel for enjoyable business travel. It has a club floor and a club lounge for Bonvoy members (Gold and higher, I think). The rooms are modern, fitness facility is well equipped, and staff is friendly. It s also VERY close to the Red Arrow bus depot, which is convenient for business travel from Edmonton. And close to a lot of locations downtown that you are likely to be headed to.

Beautiful spacious modern rooms. Clean and comfortable. Friendly accommodating staff. Tv entertainment with TED talks and access to Netflix and Hulu with your own login is pretty cool. Only complaint is the charge for WiFi. Not only is it strange to see now in a hotel but the price isn't even reasonable $10/15 a night.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was great - but the room was absolutely awful. Our room, on the 15th floor, was so loud and the bed was so uncomfortable that neither my husband or I could sleep at all. The sheets didn't fit the mattress and kept pulling up, the mattress was hard and lumpy and the bedding felt low quality. Between the constant low droning noise and periodic whiz-bang-pop noises in the room, we barely slept all night.
I also didn't care for the parking situation. The only parking option they offer is a $40/night (+tip) valet service. Otherwise, you're left trying to find a city lot, blocks away.
So while the staff are nice and the location is good, we won't return and recommend one of the other downtown options.

I usually stay at the Marriott during work trips. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The rooms are spacious and well layed out. I would highly recommended stopping at the attached restaurant, One Empire 18. The Empire omlete is a great way to start the day in the mornings and the wisky bar at night is a great treat. I would recommend this as one of the best places to stay downtown if you can afford the fairly expensive prices.

Hotel is nice as always except the service has gone down a bit.

Excellent location and phenomenal staff! The calamari and smoked duck wings were amazing. The bar staff are well versed on preparing smoked old fashioned drinks!

Very comfortable stay. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. 50 inch LED Samsung smart TV with Netflix(you need an account), etc. Staff is polite and helpful. Hotel restaurant is surprisingly good and there s a Starbucks inside the hotel which is always handy. Big pool and decent gym(would prefer more equipment but it does the job). Overall I like staying there and definitely recommend

Was at the Marriott to use the bathroom and get a coffee at the Starbucks while attending the Pride Parade. Bathroom was clean and we'll stocked. Starbucks was fast and coffee was good. Overall, would pee there again.

I give you 3 stars because I didn't like how you have to get the key to your room in the elevator & select your room level.

Did not stay in the hotel however nice hotel with several restaurants, and a Starbucks located within it and steps away from the Calgary tower and glenbow museum, and well as close to Stephen Ave and the art commons.

Great location and very nice facilities. Went during a very busy time and the hotel handled things well!

Good location for downtown use but parking could be an issue. Parking costs extra but the valet service was easy and friendly. The rooms were clean and up todate and provided everything you need. The service was good, but not over the top. Hotel was clean and nice looking. The pool area was basic and the gym was good. One negative thing was that WiFi was an extra cost when every other hotel we've stayed in has had complementary WiFi.

The night time valets were kind of short and a little rude but otherwise everything had L's been amazing. The day time valets were also much friendlier.

I left my canada goose in the car, but after valet parking I found my coat was gone.

Haven't been there in a few years but the updates to the lobby are phenomenal. Staff is from friendly and parking is pretty easy to find. Right across from the Calagry Tower and close to Stephen Ave, there is plenty of things to see, do and eat near here. Right at the heart of downtown, a great place to stay.

The rooms here are very nice, well designed and comfortable. The staff was great too, especially Yanti at the front desk. You can park much cheaper in the Palliser Parcade across 9th street, as long as you don t need in/ out.

Our stay was first class from check in to check out. Great rooms, professional and organized service. The valet service is very well run. The attached restaurant is great. Would highly recommend this location my close friends and family.

Really nice, well appointed and luxurious rooms. Great, vibrant lobby and a great location across from the Calgary Tower.

Wonderful staff and facility .... despite renovations being done ... overall enjoyable stay.

Very clean and presentable. Room was spacious and the air conditioning was strong enough. Towels were soft, beds were soft, and the tv was decent quality.

Great place great atmosphere, great location for tourists

The service is amazing! The adjoining room was very loud and we asked for a new room. A new room was provided and they even helped move our stuff. Very much appreciated!
