Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel Review

Great stay. Friendly and professional staff. Used Marriott app to request a late check-out it was great.

Decent hotel that is centrally located to visit anywhere downtown. They also have one of the best Whiskey bars in the city.

Stylish and clean with a very professional and friendly staff. Great location.

Acadia room decor was dated but service and food excellent.

Just had drinks at the hotel and it's in a good central location for drinks after dinner.

Was a very nice hotel, staff was wonderful. Room was great. Expected a typical room, just a bed and bathroom but we got a suite.

It was a very pleasant surprise. Rates were great. Breakfast was great.

Definitely going back and will recommend this hotel to anyone going to Calgary.

We had dinner at One18. Great drinks - the smoked glasses are awesome! The Alberta burger week entry was one of my favourites!

Was here for a wedding. The food was good and service was great, but they don't have change tables in the men's washroom. Get into the 21st century, Marriott.

In my case, my partner is able to use the women's washroom, but I guess don't get married here if you have any gay male friends with young children.

Great stay, nice rooms and a great view of the city. You must make time for the restaurant in the hotel. Fantastic brunch and cocktails.

I was only there for 10 minutes as a tour for volunteering so I don't have much to say. But overall it looks nice I can say.

Great place, but your overnight parking on the street is (obviously) inconvenient. The nearest parking lot has overnight for $10 but it's only good until 6am.

Fantastic location, great modernized rooms, and friendly service. The beds were vet comfortable, and the rooms were quiet. Unlike most hotels with crappy TV systems, this one had a Samsung smart TV and was easy to pair with my phone. The M lounge was busier than expected, but, well stocked. Definitely staying here again.

Paid fantastic rate for a city view king bed room. Service was very good, room furnishings up to date and modern, and rooms very spacious (king bed, plus desk, large bathroom, and room for a L shaped couch with working table). Would definitely look into staying here next time I visit Calgary!

Didn't have a good experience here, they messed up our room, they offered to fix but we had already unpacked. Pool is old and needs updating. Didn't have a good experience in the lounge. Marriott offered no remedy to bring us back.

Excellent staff and service. The hotel s location is also excellent, located in the heart of downtown. Reasonable rates (depending on the season). M Lounge is great. Pool needs improvement and an upgrade. Valet is mandatory if you park here but valet staff is quick and super accommodating.

The Marriott is downtown Calgary's best hotel. I work in the oil and gas industry and the bar/restaurant in the lobby (One18 Empire) is where the industry seems to congregate after work. Great staff. Clean rooms. Nothing bad to say at all!

We went for otafest and the Marriott did a very good job accommodating every aspect of the convention. The staff was very helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful.

Great location. Audio and visual team do a good job in the meeting rooms. Catering Team produce a good spread. And the Staff are all friendly and helpful.

Stayed for the scenarios in Alberta energy event. Catering food was decent and staff was very hospital.

I'm an Ambassador with Marriott (100+ nights/year) and had a great stay at the Downtown Calgary Marriott. They recently did a renovation, have a nice restaurant in the hotel (ask for Colwyn at the restaurant--he makes a mean custom Old Fashioned and the Ribeye is excellent), and some of the best exec lounge food I've had. Also, Brielle was an incredibly helpful manager who made my stay special. Thank you!

Rooms are fine in that modern minimalist style. Menu says late night snacks available but actually a lie! Have to get outside delivery after 10 which is very annoying. Key card system for elevator is also annoying

Attended a dinner event here. The service was standard and consistent with hotels. When we had the food, appetizers were good. During the main course, the beef everyone had was alittle inconsistent. Some were medium and some were medium rare, mine was alittle chewy while wife's was tender. Overall experience was pretty good. Servers were friendly and helpful when asking them questions.

I've got the room for 7 days to spend part of my quarantine, so no room service and no cleaning the room or bath , they gave me some dumbells to work out that's the only good thing..
After I complain about the room I got a promise to give me some discount but never happened ..

I stayed here for one night and literally when I first walked into the bathroom and flipped the toilet seat there was a giant log floating in the toilet water......neadless to say I wasn't impressed...but I flushed it down anyways

Loved the lobby and whiskey bar. The lobby was really inviting and the fireplace was beautiful. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and good to work with.

This hotel had a very posh lobby. They were near a row of restaurants. There is a nice fireplace that gave good heat and warmth. The staff was excellent too. Always ready to help with a smile. Their coffee shop as well as bar had good offerings. In the end, it was about location, modernity and service. Highly recommended.

Hotel is located at a very central location right across the street from Calagry Tower and a block from Stephen Ave. My room was a 1 king bed room on the 21st concierge floor, with access to the M Club lounge included. Room was large, clean, functional, and looks recently renovated. The only drawback is that I can hear some noises from neighbouring rooms, especially the noise created by the window blinds when they were drawn or lowered (the metal chain is quite loud). Service is great and staff friendly. M Club is stocked with snacks and drinks with good selection of food during breakfast and cocktail hours. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Amazing hotel! I try to book it as much as I can when in Calgary! Food is great, and it s close to so many other great restaurants if you don t want to dine at the hotel!
The ladies at front desk are always incredibly friendly and helpful! The only thing I ll say is that I ve never been upgraded as a Platinum Elite member there. They told me they did once, but the room was actually smaller than usual and I don t remember it being a better view. Regardless the service is great!

Our event was run so well. The hotel staff were professional and gave excellent service. There d always someone on hand to see if we needed anything.

Terrible option for anyone on a budget. Nothing is complimentary, internet for one night $7.95 I don't think so! No free parking and stained towels. I loved the ambiance of the room but other than that I can't recommend staying here.

Our visit was excellent! All the staff was super happy to assist us. The location is second to none, it's very close to several amazing restaurants and cafes, and on the same street as the Calgary tour. I'm excited for my next home visit!
