Okaloosa County Jail Review

Very informative and professional officers/staff. Clean facility; they obviously take seriously their responsibility of providing for inmates.

Google Maps took me to the Blackrish road, do not go there! It should be next to the road!

Have tried 5 times this morning to put funds on my sons commissary account via phone and have been shut down every time. If you really want to use technology make sure it functions correctly.now i have to drive up there because if the ineptitude of okaloosa county.

I sent my son a birthday card. It was returned because I used address labels. To and from. Is not a US Mail stamp a label? You think there are drugs on the US stamp? There are no drugs on my labels. If you are that worried about drugs in the adhesive, take the card out of the envelope and deliver it . You people read all the mail anyway. Don't you have other things to worry about? It must take some great education and credentials to read other people's mail. Do you get a kid out of sending back birthday cards?

Friendly staff as long as you are respectful. Helped me sober up and I don't plan on ever going back.

Absolutely do not recommend this place. Beds are extremely uncomfortable, rooms are small and not accommodating. The food is terrible and maid service is inadequate. Staff seems to have an authoritarian complex.

my experience so far from the OkaloosaA county jail has been very upset .why do you use the name dept. of corrections ? a jail should be what it is . no fun and not that i ever what to come back again. but yet you will not allow inmates to receive books from the publisher. Why? i takes me forever to get an answer that is not really answered. after 2 weeks i found i could donate books and they would be placed in the closet. after 3 attempts to deliver these books a kind lady said yes i will take them and put them in this room but we have so many some don't make it to the shelf or cart . REALLY !after 3 months my son has seen none of the books donated nor has some of the other inmates he has talked to.these are good books self help and skill books.this may take a long time to get right, probably long after my son gets out of jail. but i will move on to make something wrong right !

Nice people defending our way of life. I support our officers!!! And I was only they lyft driver...

LOL. Apparently people don t like being here. Maybe make better life choices next time.

5 stars because they keep the rif raf away from society.
