Cafe Boulud is one of the great restaurants of Palm Beach - I just wish that they would introduce more vegan options on the menu. I had to ask for a vegan entree and was presented with a tasty pilaf with some bits of broccoli but feel they could have used more imagination to make a spectacular dish with more vegetables in the same manner that they create their amazing meat and fish based dishes.

overall, i expected more--more adventurous food, more attentive service and more intangibles that make a restaurant great. the food was very good, although one of our party was served not fresh and overcooked scallops--the waiter did take them off the bill. wine selection and pricing was excellent,as was the littorai pinot noir we had with our entrees. service was a bit slow on a friday night and the restaurant had empty tables.
This is easily a top five restaurant in all of Palm Beach. First the hotel and courtyard are worth the visit. Everything is spotless. The service and food at Cafe Boulud are the best you will find. From the hostess to the wait staff everyone is accommodating. The short ribs, snapper, dessert, and lemon pastries are all outstanding. Simply the best place to eat by far.
Womderfult Customer service and the meal was amazing ! Will definitely be back for the half off bottle sundays and Tuesday no corkage fee! Food was outstanding!
Can only afford HH thus far but the cocktails are wonderful! And the arancini (omnipresent and poorly done at so many places) are here melt-in-your mouth little flavor clouds of delight.. these are why arancini exist!! and why DB can commodify his name!
There will definitely always be fresh fish and seafood dishes. Sometimes inexperienced waiters come across, and this is a huge minus. But in general, a very worthy institution.
What a lovely setting and atmosphere although I didn't get to experience the Garden seating area (it was raining), indoor area was just as lovely!! From the bar to the dining area all top notch my Dover Sole was delish as well as my friend's Duck L'orange and chicken dish yummy!!! Next time I'd like to do an overnight @The Brazilian Court Hotel & Beach Club
My spouse and I try to visit at least one notable restaurant on every vacation trip we make. Our stop in South Florida was notable. Daniel Boulud has rightly earned his long list of honors and superlatives. Staff was attentive and prompt. The food was excellent. We had a lovely, romantic evening and count it as a highlight of our trip. Whether you sit in the veranda for lunch or inside for dinner, the impeccable service, ambiance, and excellent food will make it a memorable fine dining experience.
I was not so impressed with the food here. The service and ambiance are excellent. We sat outside near the fountain. It was beautiful. My pork chop was salty and tough. My wife's lobster salad was very vinegary. For a $200+ meal, I expected better.
This is an update form my review year ago. == The restaurant has undergone a wonderful makeover. It is more inviting, with a large bar area integrated in the dining room. The menu is easier to understand, with fewer menu selections, but more than enough should you care to dine here every night of the week. The new Sommelier is French with a particular expertise in Caifornia wines. Th sound level is moderate, unlike most other new restaurants. So, this really still is the best in Palm Beach and of Florida ==== With the demise of the restaurant at the Breakers ( reborn as the "tapas bar" HMF) , this is the only true fine dining restaurant left in the East Coast of South Florida. Yes, Cafe L'Europe serves well-executed European standards, as does Chez Jean-Pierre. However, Cafe Boulud brings a creativity to traditional food with perfect technique. On any evening there are at least 15 completely different entree choices, not to mention the award-winning desert creations. Service is done with discretion and elegance. I have been seated next to well-known celebrities and no one looks, no one gets excited. Everyone is there to enjoy a luxurious meal. Oh, and this is the place if you like great wines. The sommelier Marya Kovaceva selects surprising values; tell her your favorite wine and let her bring you an alternative. You will get a nice surprise
Went for brunch on Sunday. Ambiance was a little dated but quality of food and service was that of an established fine dining restaurant. An enjoyable brunch in Palm Beach.
Visited the cafe with two friends and their 1 yro baby on Friday, July 19th. I was very excited to dine here knowing Chef Daniel Boulud is behind all this. Very pretty setting and very courteous maitre d. He even played with my friend's More
Ah yes, Chef Daniel Boulud brings his NY world to Palm Beach. I have been here both for lunch and dinner. Lunch is WAY overrated! Dinner is excellent and the food is very solid. I would not however rate it as high as Zagat has... The restaurant and the Brazilian Court are very romantic and great places to bring someone special. The service is impeccable, and outweighs any shortcomings in the food.
New Years 5 course dinner, mediocre food, service somewhat annoying to unprofessional at this 5 star level (should I have to ask for my water glass to be refilled!), felt rushed , courses served too quickly, a nice but far from experienced waiter. Wine I asked for on the by the glass wine list but not available.- seriously!!! Tell me it's not available before I choose. Would never do this again. Extremely overpriced for the experience.
Best restaurant in Palm beach, in my opinion. We have been going for years for both lunch and dinner. We have also done the chefs table in the kitchen a few times off season. Outdoor dining is nice , weather dependent. Very reasonable summer specials
Lovely atmosphere and very attentive service . Food is not quite as good as it should be. I had a hamburger that was salty and over cooked but my friend had a lushes smoked salmon and cream fresh
Outstanding in every way! Original cocktails, fine food and wine, the lobster was delicate and sweet, chicken here is elevated to the next level! Service is impeccable! This will probably become a yearly event!
Had a lovely dinner with friends last month. Sitting outside is lovely weather permitting. The pink Key awestruck shrimp were outstanding. The carrot ginger soup is worth trying. My friend had the stone crabs and enjoyed them. I highly More
Service and food are top notch. Perhaps the best restaurant in South Florida right now. Certainly my favorite! Go for the bargain lunch- only $20.11 for 3 courses! Graceful and quiet, this place is serious about its kitchen.
Wonderful food, excellent and professional staff; sitting outside or inside is a beautiful experience. best burger i've had in a long time, proper crispy pomme frites.
I am an old Cafe Boulud customer and I am sorry to say that their food has been increasingly disapointing in recent years. Our latest dispointment was their Passover special. The Gefilte Fish was very fishy and salty. Equally salty and disapointing was their mazzo ball soup. You can have a much better soup at your neighbourhood Greek diner. Their fish main dish, a "Slightly Smoked Sturgeon" which sounded so appealing on the menu was actually overcooked and dry. As for the wines, I ordered an Alsacian wine which turned out to be unavailable and I was offered instead an Israeli wine that was more expensive and inferior in quality. It is obvous that Mr. Boulud is spreading himself thin and has very little if any hands on supervision on what is going on in his kitchen. In fact the restaurant site shows Mr. Boulud's picture taken in New York City not in front of his Palm Beach restaurant. A piece of advice for Mr. Boulud: go to any Jean George restaurant in New York City and you will see him there every single night. That shows in the quality of the food in his restaurants.
Went to a fundraiser for the Historical Society of Palm Beach at Cafe Boulard. The service was excellent! It was a cocktail party and I loved the hor's d'oeuvres. Everything from the food to the valet parking was wonderful.
Here, the food is created with immense amount of research and innovation, and put together in a way that brings out flavor, the flavor that is forgotten, lost, doesn't exist anymore in your regular restaurants. I would give this 6 stars given it was possible....
Was there for breakfast a few days ago and think that it's the best place in town for a breakfast meeting. For dinner, we prefer the garden which is gorgeous but, on occasion, have dinner indoors. Last night, we were guests at a family dinner for 12 at a large round table in the garden. It was wonderful as the night was beautiful. Service was great as was dinner.
We had to cancel our reservation because marcel would not permit us to bring our own bottle of wine.we were willing to pay a cork fee. I am a custoner for 5 years lillian azar very disappointing and strange
CHRISTMAS EVE IN THE GARDEN SPECTACULAR. We were a party of 10 and we were guests. The garden was gorgeous and the heat lamps were perfect. Dinner and service were perfect. Couldn't have been nicer.
I have kept this inside for 5 years but now is definitely the time to tell it. dined here with some friends of mine, and the manager kept coming over making comments about our "lovely smiles", etc, which we already felt was inappropriate. When I had a chance to go to the restroom, he came down the hall to the bathrooms and approached me, and tried to make small talk. He placed his hand on my butt and rubbed it, I immediately pushed his hand away and walked out of the place as fast as possible. ANDREW BURNS is a manager for this company, and there is no doubt I am not the only one he has done this too. It has been 5 years, but It is in my mind EVERY DAY. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT. THIS MAN ANDREW BURNS STILL WORKS FOR THE COMPANY.
Firstly, their website menus have lower prices than the restaurant menu. The hamburger for instance is $24, not $19. And the waitress uncharged the burger to $34 without asking by substituting it for an off menu burger that supposedly had some special ingredient. No correction made, no apology. With all the good restaurants 2 blocks away I would avoid this Cafe.
Only place open for a good breakfast at this time, just had the All American breakfast and although a little on the expensive side, it was delicious to the last bite. Waiting to pay.
First time at this place, it did not disappoint, exquisite and delicious food, loved the Dover sole and the oysters, great service, great atmosphere, out Russian server was great, highly recommended , out bread was served cold but hopefully they sont do that again, I still give them a 5 star
The ambiance was extremely disappointing. We walked into a beautiful garden with lots of tables pushed together closely, half of them being empty. When we asked the hostess for a more private table we've been told that half of the outdoor area was closed/unutilized for the night. I requested this specifically for our anniversary night ever since the reservation was made because it was our intention to exchange some loving words during dinner, which we couldn't comfortably achieve whilst being affected by other tables' conversations. The space and the pressure to maximize it were definitely a problem. The service was efficient and polite but the whole experience felt rushed from beginning to end. Finally, the food was not outstanding, but overall well achieved. Although I'd avoid the snapper, the only dish that was straight not good. On the bright side, we've been served a complimentary anniversary dessert that was a nice detail. Perhaps I'd come back for a tea time event with friends one day, hoping for a non-rushed relaxing experience this time. Maybe. But ever again for a romantic evening.
This place is the one I like best. I go to many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The team is very friendly and the cuisine they serve is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.
Great French Restaurant inside the Brazilian Court Hotel. Dine alfresco if you can. My wife had the Dover Sole and it was fantastic. I had the Lobster special. Service was impeccable. If you have not eaten here, you should.
We had to stop for the holiday to our favorite restaurant. We were seated in the courtyard next to the fountain were we enjoyed a delicious and festive meal. The foie gras and scallop were tasty, flavorful and fresh. Good wine, company and food for a wonderful dinner. The Staff was very nice and friendly. One of the best dinners I have had . The drinks where amazing had Old Fashion. Great atmosphere. The best duck ever. Fantastic food and service. We were a group of four enjoying dinner, salmon, scallops, wine, and lovely desserts.
Amazing sexy vibe, excellent service and delicious food. The duck was tender, filet mignon was cooked to perfection, lobster ravioli was stuffed with lots of meat the bonus was black truffles ontop so delicious. Michelin star fine dinning in Palm Beach.
Nothing mind blowing or spectacular. The prices aren't so bad, but making a dish with 9 different things on the plate an calling each of them something fancy like "pistachio dust" or "roasted pickled beet chips"....all that is cool, but I'm trying to eat a steak and a salad, spare me the experiments unless you plan on making them actually taste good and have functionality to the dish.
Food was amazing. Portion size but so much. Is get it's high end and classy but for 15 dollars I got a tiny cake and a dollop of ice cream. Literally a dallop.
only the risotto with truffle was good. the rest of the food was unimpressive. i ordered bottled water and they serve me water with chlorine taste. ordered sparkling water and the same....the manager told us that they use their own water (?). finally the
