On our trip to Indianapolis, I must say this was the best place to grab a quick, delicious meal. We had the grilled four cheese sandwich (even better with the pickle) and the biscuits and gravy were just wonderful. A very friendly staff made the experience worth-while. The wide variety of coffee cups was my favorite part. This is definitely the place to check out on your trip to Indianapolis or even if you've lived here your whole life and have never given it a try. You won't regret it!

Delicious food and our waitress was the best! Only 4 stars because apparently it's frowned upon when you'd like to sit and chat with your party after eating and paying. Other tables were open and available and there wasn't anyone waiting to be seated however according to a couple of the staff, they were too busy to allow us to remain seated and chat while finishing our beverages. So they asked us to leave. Doubt we'll go back due to that which is a shame considering the location is ideal and the quality of the wait staff and food were so good. The hostess giving dirty looks at our table was pretty rude.

Second time here for breakfast and still recommend it. The setting feels like an old restored home with brick walls ...and worn wood floors. "Serve yourself " coffee bar with miscellaneous mugs, regular and flavored coffees/syrups, fresh sliced sauteed potatoes, beautiful eggs, standard breakfast favorites and awesome healthy selections. Good and pretty quick service. Absolutely worth the visit!

After finding this little gem I have become a regular..."The Green Tea Guy".
I try to stop in once a week breakfast or lunch, I have always enjoyed what I order and received friendly service from everyone there.

Great coffee! Superb Service. The quiche of the day was baked perfectly from the toasty cheese on top to the crispy flaky crust. Delicious. I'm not moving back to Indy, but I'm definitely coming back to Cafe Audrey when I visit. (They were awesome with my 6 year old too.)

A friend took me here for lunch. (I'd have never have known about it if she hadn't. It's a little out-of-the-way place.) I'm sure glad she did! I had a strawberry salad, which was delish. She loved her gourmet egg salad sandwich and cup of tomato basil soup. Our waiter was very personable. It was a lovely day, so we sat at a table outside. I'll be back!

We live 2 minutes from cafe audreys and it s convenient to order breakfast and lunch here. Food tastes great usually. That being said, our last 4 take out orders have had multiple sides missing from our orders, all of which have been printed on the receipts and paid for by us. When we call to let them know, the person who answers the phone is apathetic and dismissive. Obviously there is a serious communication issue between kitchen and servers and no one seems to care to rectify it. The food is great and all but we are tired of throwing away money on food we don t receive. It s going to be hard to come back with such consistent misses in our orders.

Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, great quiche, and the best slaw I've ever had. The coffee is self-serve and there is some outdoor seating. Fairly priced and near Fort Harrison where I hike. I will definitely be back!

This is a local favorite. Every time someone from out of town visits, I bring them here. It has a great atmosphere and excellent service. The food is also fantastic. Eggs Benedict are always a solid choice, but you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu.

One of the best, hippest restaurants on the east side, sourcing much of its fresh menu from local ingredients when possible and offering a wide variety of options to diners who enjoy brunch. Cafe Audrey can be a little crowded on weekends, but the wait is always more than worth it.

Yum

Interesting place. The food was good, not so good I'd rave about it but good. Definitely a place to go and people watch. Families, couples, singles, girls brunch, lots of people.

I very much like their coffee set up.

Pricey are ok. Service is a little slow. Probably due to the crowd. Solid option I think everyone should try it at least once.

The ambiance is quaint, simple, and perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. It feels like one is dining in Connor Prairie without all the tourists to surround you. I dined here on a late Tuesday morning, so not peak hours, but had a great experience.

The food was well prepared. Their homemade slaw is an apple slaw with shredded brussel sprouts, kale, and apple cider vinnegar base. Absolutely splendid, and this coming from a person who does not like slaws or most salads. The bittersweet nuance to this cafe is it's SELF-SERVE coffee bar. Instead of Starbucks overpriced and terrible menu, you get a selection of fresh brewed coffees, hot water for hot tea, 4-5 Torrani syrups, half and half, and sweeteners to dress up your drink at your discretion. Some may not like the fact that you have to get it yourself. I enjoy the freedom of choices and liberties one can take with this.

The service did not dissappoint. The prices are fair to other local competitors. The menu and food quality are consistent to competition in the area. I focus mainly on the ambiance. You can get eggs benedict and sandwiches anywhere. You can't always find a simple, relaxing, and fresh feel to start out your day. All I can say is think Connor Prairie set in the 40's or 50's, and you may get the idea.

So much great choices and very good food. I think even vegans could find something here. Very large pancakes but so good and the staff and service is great. Wasn't busy tonight but tons of space even if they were. Not expensive at all and I highly reccomend.

My mom and I ate there today for the first time, and we let our server know it was our first time. I had biscuits and gravy, and after 3 bites realized my throat and lips were swelling up (I know enough to just stop and avoid a real emergency). I have some food allergies and took a chance at a new place, thinking I had ordered a safe meal for myself. The waitress saw that I had stopped eating, never checked in, and at the end of the meal, when she asked if wanted a box, I told her about my reaction and that I needed to stop eating. She brought the check with my meal on it, and we did pay, but we won t be back. No blame at all for the reaction, but definitely do blame the server/restaurant for lack of customer service. Any other place would have checked in sooner or taken the meal off considering I hadn t been able to eat it, regardless of the reason, and especially as a first time guest.

The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing, usually with a good crowd. I've been here twice and have been served by two different waiters and they are all super helpful and nice. The food is great too, I had the fort Benedict.

Definitely glad we decided to try this place! Peek times with a large party (7) on Sunday so getting seated took a while, but it was worth it. The food was amazing, the service superb. Great little place and worth a look!

I like Cafe Audrey at Fort Ben because it has a casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and good, healthy food. I recently ordered a "power foods" omelet because I was feeling guilty about my holiday diet. I was apprehensive because...well, who puts kale in an omelet? ...but the omelet tasted terrific!

Wow. Shockingly AWESOME! The coffee bar is better than Starbucks or Cafe Patachou. The pancakes with pure maple syrup are amazing! The meats are high quality (but small portions), the housemade biscuits are crazy good, the sausage gravy has potential but needs more black pepper and cayenne. Go here now--- do as I command! Xo

Noisy at lunchtime, like ridiculously loud. Friendly staff, so-so food. Albeit an extensive menu, there's nothing healthy/vegetarian/earthy here, it's all Americana. Extensive egg/omelette/breakfast items, the usual lunch stuff, and great coffee.

Tucked away from the road so it is a bit hard to find this gem. It's decorated like a chic 50s place, however I'm not sure why the staff wears tye-dye. It's a bit strange. The staff is very friendly and provide great service. The food is excellent and comes out in a timely fashion. Great spot for a quick lunch or a leisurely breakfast meet up (no alcohol).

This is the best breakfast in Indy, in my opinion. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy or the breakfast burrito. This is the only place where I have seen cinnamon butter on pancakes. If you have never tried it. Stop in and give them a taste. You'll never eat pancakes any other way.

Breakfast is such an important part of setting your day up! My husband and 5 year old are truly pancake snobs! LOL. My husband remembers the pancakes that his grandmother used to make for him. Cafe Audrey's is the ONLY restaurant that has been able to satisfy his pancake cravings. My daughter LOVES the cinnamon butter. As a family that eats healthy, we love the options they have. Even gluten-free pancakes that still taste AMAZING. Thank you Tammy (the owner) for greeting your customers with such warmth and thank you Nancy for always being our great waitress. (Everyone there is great). Oh, yeah...the coffee is a MUST!

Nice lunch spot right by the park. A bit tricky to find. Food was good, service even better. Our server brought fruit out first for my toddler, which is always appreciated and kept an eye on her while I grabbed a cup of self-serve coffee. We felt very welcome here. Thank you!
