Cafe Absinthe Reviews

This is actually the first place that I tried absinthe and I really liked it! They might not serve it the "proper" way with a fancy water drip machine but lighting the sugar cube on fire is novelty enough for me. Their absinthe mojito is really good and they don't skimp on the absinthe in their cocktails. The food is tasty, but a little pricy. I think it's a good place to go for a special occasion. The service is good too and the menu is in English and Japanese.

Great vibe, service and crowd. In house DJs spins vinyls what else is there to ask for.

Very friendly staff who made great recommendations. The food was honestly delicious. Lots of vegetarian options if that's your thing, my thing is meat and they satisfied. A bit pricey but the quality and service justify it. I recommend the Pizza, seafood quiche and the French toast dessert.

A place for grown-up drinks. They have a selection of ridiculous absinthes. Maybe a little bit pose-y, but definitely worth a visit for good service and quality alcohol.

Nice place, we had food and drinks, we had the ham and sausage plate, a Pasta and hummus. It was delicious. The absinthe is not my thing but my boyfriend enjoyed the experience with the melting sugar, etc. It is a bar and smoking is allowed including water pipes.

Very stylish cafe dining where you can enjoy hookah. They have good foods and drinks. Although price is relatively high, recommended for date night or party.

Had the hummus, babaganoush, moussaka, kefta kebab, and chicken plate. Everything was delicious and staff were very sweet! Definitely recommend!

Would not it be just right to drink 1 or 2 cups? The shop is also polite. [Additional notes] In the summer I have a chair and a table on the terrace ... or the street in front of the shop. It was quite relaxing.

Came here. They had okay hookah and slow ass music that put us to sleep. If you want a bad sandwich, poorly mixed booze and okay hookah.. stop on by... then cry yourself to sleep because your life is depressing.

Decent place for shisha and a good place for hanging out or place to take a date at night. But the lunch is really understated. Lunch time has a super chill vibe, and great food. The tea sets are great too.

This bar reminded me of being back in New York, and not in a good way. For Japan, where nearly every restaurant is amazing or at least good, the food here is refreshingly mediocre, the exception that proves the rule. The dips were ok. The pizza was a mess. The Appletinis were ok but one of my orders simply never arrived after 20 minutes and I had to reorder it. Oddly lax service for Japan. Expensive, too. If you really love hookah, there are better places. If you really love cocktails, there are better places. Basically there are better places.

Come for the absinthe cocktails, friendly staff, good service and open atmosphere. Stay for the delish food. You will leave happy and stumbling. If you find yourself here, remember the words of The Last Crusader: "You chose... wisely".

This place is an especially nice getaway midday in good weather. Sit at the open windows and enjoy.

There are good absinthes here, but they are terribly badly served and it's a shame.
No need to put a sugar, the water need to be served at the drip, and most importantly, do not burn it!

Fashionable cafe, but clerk (woman) 's attitude is bad. Far from being a smile, there are no greetings either. Sorry I made you wait! I can not say a word of it, so it is okay if you visit it assuming that.

Located west of Amerikamura, this establishment offers great, friendly service in English with impressive, modern decor. There's a great selection of cocktails on the menu including many with Absinthe, hence the name. The food is well presented and most appetizing.

Pretty overpriced. Shisha seems to be the main draw here. Expected a buzzing bar but it felt more like a restaurant

The dessert menu is also abundant and conveniently located. I visited around 15:00. I had banana france and iced coffee. It was very delicious.
