Great beach front hotel, great service, reasonable price, close to shopping and cinemas, quiet place. Beautiful view of the sugar loaf.

good hotel .. well located .... cafe well served .. cleanliness of the rooms satisfactory .. a bit old the rooms with light filled if aged wood, nothing that bothered.

Clean room, excellent bed and pillows, efficient check in / out.
But breakfast .... I ordered 2 fried eggs that came bathed in oil; breast and pineapple passed from the point. Mozzarella and "hard" hams. Simply pitiful.

The location is good if you are commuting near Botafogo, subway is 2 blocks away, it's a safe area, never had or saw an incident around the hotel, lots of bars and restaurants in the streets next to the hotel, excellent night life.

Only issue was that the door knob misprogrammed every day, so every time I arrived at the hotel I had to have my key reprogrammed to work. They changed me keys like 20 times, I was there 25 nights. Friends in other rooms had the same experience.

Hotel with cleanliness and standard quality but with service far below expectations. We made a reservation for 3 people on 09/02. We arrived and the room had only 2 beds, so at the moment we requested the missing bed and the front desk said it would mount. We returned to the hotel late in the evening and had not set up the third bed and there was no one who could do anything. So I was put in another room, I moved all my suitcase and belongings into this room. On 10/02 before leaving the hotel we asked again at reception how we should proceed and we were advised that we should stay in their rooms. When I returned to the hotel the key in my room was blocked, my friends arrived and guess the bed was mounted in their room, I moved the room again.

Total confusion and downside, the hotel staff does not even talk to each other.

For my experience I would not recommend this hotel.

The room is large, Mercure standard. But the maintenance of the premises is precarious, doors, floors, furniture needing maintenance. An

There were many flaws, but the worst was the reservation error, which because of that I had to sleep on the sofa for my entire stay there, it was me and two other people

Unfortunately, this hotel is not recommended at all.
One day before arrival, I wanted to find out about any additional fees, unfortunately my reservation, which I paid three weeks ago, could not be found!
The staff generally does not greet them and only rarely replies to greetings. Requests are not taken into account and categorically rejected. Rooms are very shabby and furniture partly broken. Doors sometimes cannot be closed, the table wobbles and the air conditioning shines too brightly at night.
The prices for such accommodation are far too high. Caution is advised at breakfast. Plates and bowls are often still wet and dirty, the selection too small for a longer stay. The breakfast has an international touch, but is very focused on desserts.
I felt very uncomfortable here!

He was waiting a little longer for Mercure's fame. Everything ok but we could have better fruits for breakfast. A nicer black coffee too. In the bedroom the feeling of old things. Also the cleaning of the bathrooms a little more or less.

Location is very good, set between both airports. The region is relatively safe, with multiple of restaurants and bar ranging from low to medium prices. The rooms decent space, with a double bed, writing desk, armchair and 35" cable TV. Every room has a balcony, with views ranging from the city to the Christ atop the Corcovado. Bathroom was clean and the shower was decent. Wifi connection is above average from hotels, was possible to stream HD videos without problems. Breakfast is simple but good enough.

Old hotel which for anyone who has allergies I can not recommend.

I went to have breakfast in this hotel and on arrival, in the parking lot, rude employees, not telling where to park, they would maneuver the car .... when I returned to pick up the car, I even had to remove it. I don't know why the hotel has valets. And the breakfast itself, very simple, without many varieties, without much information on the part of the staff ..... bad experience. I do not recommend breakfast at this hotel.
