Young or old, taking a short ride on a steam drawn train is a nice time. Their holiday themed events are especially good for younger children.
The pumpkin express perfect ride for young kids. Short enough they won't get bored. Still a scenic ride.
My kids love their Santa train. Make this a yearly tradition with your kids, you won't regret it.
Great job new renovation on that train car like 1st class. Great ride
What a great train ride behind steam. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Thanks
Nice little ride to take your children or grandchildren to. Everyone is very nice!!!
It was a thrill to ride on a steam engine.had a great time
Took the family on the pumpkin train and they had a blast. The experience began even before the trip started with being greeted by a station agent. Then we boarded the train and experienced time travel. Instead of staring at their phones I witnessed something magical, people were looking out the window at the scenery and interacting with each other. Once we arrived at the pumpkin patch and disembarked the fun continued with activities the staff had set up. Every aspect of the day was authentic old fashioned fun. I can't wait until next year to do it again.
It wasn t as expected. I seen many young children who looked bored and not amused at all. There is one person walking between cars telling jokes and played one game. No Christmas music playing. Santa walked thru early, and he didn t even look authentic. My daughter thought the train would go faster. Prior to pulling out of the station, someone was walking around taking pictures. The gift shop was unorganized and hectic. It s a good price just to ride a train. I wouldn t drive two hours to come again. The carolers were good.
We go every year on the Christmas Santa train. Santa gives gifts to the kids, and carolers sing songs. We always have a great time.
My boy loves his trains. So we frequently go. Been on several rides. I reccomend the ice cream ride.
Took my boys for their first train ride. We had a great time.
A bargain and kudos to the company for bringing this opportunity to the community.
We had a wonderful family experience. We would recommend the train ride to anyone.
What a fantastic experience this place was! My family and I will definitely be back!!
Had a great time. Will go again next year. They have a very friendly staff and provided for a nice evening out.
We had a blast. It was a short ride but very enjoyable. We will definitely do it again. The staff were very nice and friendly.
It is a little pricey, but worth it.
Great railroad ride with steam engine. Also delicious ice cream served.
The Santa Express was such a magical experience for my little ones as well as my husband and I. The train had lots of fun activities during the 45min ride. We were serenaded by carolers and encouraged to sing along. The conductor visited frequently with fun Christmas facts and cute jokes. Santa visited and talked to each child, allowing for pictures and his elves passed out treat bags. Upon returning to the station, we were able to visit a tent to grab a complimentary hit cocoa and cookie. Definitely a new tradition for us.
Ride behind a beautifully restored steam engine on a short but scenic trip. They offer themed trips for several different occasions.
Really nice time had by all our family members!! They put on a great show..
Fantastic experience! Amazing train, beautiful scenery.
Great train ride through Pennsylvania farmland. Don't miss the rides to Roaring Springs.
We went on the Santa train ride, over all a very nice ride. Ticket price was reasonable, all staff were authentic and kind, and the train car was very clean and well kept. Not an overly long trip but long enough for the experience. We will do this again next year!
Great value experience for all ages. We will be back!
Enjoyable ride booked ahead about a month ago ride was on Sept 21 2019 fun at every crossing people filming the steam engine felt like you were special.
I'll go there every year for our Christmas train ride.
Excellent WW2 train ride with period music and reenactors on 6/15/19. Fun time to get out and spend an hour on a beautifully restored train!
Went for the Christmas train ride with Santa for the kids. It was cool with santa and the carolers but the scenery of the trip is a bunch of creepy junkyards and run down farms. Other than that it was fun.
The train ride was cool by itself. The scenery outside was atrocious. I have no desire to see junk yards when I'm taking my 3 year old to an attraction.
This place is awesome. Perfect activity for a family day, or to take visiting guests to. Really neat authentic experience.
1920s Steam engine on a 4 mile out and back. We were here for the pumpkin patch ride. The bathrooms are clean and plentiful at the station.
We had a blast! For us, this was a last minute, let's see what we can get into mini trip and we were not disappointed. The ride was smooth, relaxing and at times educational. Our train stopped at a depot for about 20-30 minutes so all of the passengers could enjoy homemade ice cream from the local creamery(omg it was school good!)!
For the price everyone should get a pumpkin on the pumpkin patch ride.
Such a nice train ride to the pumpkin patch and back. It was just a nice experience
Nice trip through beautiful countryside. Attentive staff.
Great place great people My family loved it. It's so nice having something like this less then 40 minutes away from home. Thank you!
Nice train ride to pumpkin patch, supposedly they do themed riders based on time of year. The train car was super nice and employees very friendly.
We took the kids on the pumpkin patch train ride. Excellent ride. Very friendly staff.
Extremely DISAPPOINTED in this Holiday Pumpkin Patch Train Ride we hurried to get tickets for (which quickly sold out), we drove almost an hour and a half to go on a 15 minute train ride, then a stop in someone's yard for mini pumpkins for 20 minutes, only to get back on the train in reverse (not even a full circle) for less then 15 minutes to get back for one free cookie and small hot cider drink while the next group boarded. The kids were forced to decorate their pumpkins on the train as well. Not worth the money, i would say it should have been priced less then 10 a piece! Won't do it again!!!!
Absolutely great staff, great equipment and awesome views. The prices are some of the best for families. Very well worth visiting.
Nice quaint new historic looking rail road depot. Nice to see a steam train excursion back in the area.
We took the Family Train Ride, had a great time. Wasn't very long, but something we haven't ever done before. It was a great experience and everyone were just super nice. They are really busy though. Don't wait to book a reservation.
Alot of fun for the kids. They loved getting to see santa while riding the train.
We had a fun day with the kids before Easter. Railcars are in great shape, staff is friendly. They do a good job with making it fun. The train ride itself was the perfect duration. Long enough to get the experience but not so long it gets boring. We will surely do this again.
We went for the cookies and milk train ride. I was surprised at how many adults without kids were there. It was a nice time.
We took the Ice Cream train with the grand children and it was great. A little dusty from the coal ash but nothing bad at all. Very scenic and not too bumpy of a ride. It too about 2 1/2 hours with a layover for icecream at the Roaring Spring station.
This is our second year for the pumpkin patch ride. My grandson lives it! It will be a birthday tradition for him now!
Love it, we took my 3yo on the pumpkin patch ride, we will be doing this again!
All of the staff was very nice! We went there for the egg hunt/train ride. Everything was very well organized, my son enjoyed his first train ride!
