Every week I attend an event there. The service of the staff is good and the cakes served by the hotel are delicious! The infrastructure is very good: comfortable chairs, adequate supplies, pleasant climate and the environment is very clean.

Well located hotel in Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro. It has gym and pool as fun. Large room with wardrobe, TV, air conditioning, study table, armchair and balcony in some rooms. The view is not beautiful and you do not get to the beach. The coffee is of very good quality where the customer can order omelets or special beiju.

Good location, good rooms, however the bathroom is quite small, everything well cleaned, bed comfortable, shower good.
The view of the Christ the Redeemer is beautiful!

Hotel was ok. We stayed for a week, my husband was staying for work. We ordered room service and food was not good, my french fries were cold and soggy full of oil and the meat was overcooked and cold. We called to complain and instead of replacing the whole meal they only made new fries and meat. So by the time that arrived the rest of the food was super cold. Very dissapointing. Also at check in the receptionist kept my ID! We were there for a week and no one took the time to give it back to me. How can you keep someone's ID and not make any effort to give it back??? All he had to look was look up my room number and give me a call. We were there for a whole week! I only realized I didnt have it at the airport, so I called the hotel and they had it in housekeeping! No one tried to contact me!! So now they were supposed to send it yesterday and email me with the tracking number. It didn't happen and everytime I call the call drops!!!
Breakfast below average, not enough healthy options, a whole bunch of carbs!
But then again that is standard for Rio

My money got stolen from locked room. Hotel management did not do anything about it.

Rooms are tiny, gloomy and stinky. Bathrooms are worse.

Stay away.

Hotel well located, with good breakfast and very attentive staff. The only thing I saw strange was a bunch of trays dropped in front of the apartments of the guests who ate. The trays were in front of the apartments for hours and no one collected.

Location is not the best but as it was to rest and relax the pool did me very well

Excellent location for those who need to work in the Center, in Botafogo or Copacabana. Some rooms have beautiful views of the Christ. The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel has a service above my expectations, which are quite high. Highly recommend.

I went to an animal adoption event. The event was well organized adequate space and staff neither responsive. A pet friendly spot.

Boy, this place is so old, room AC is so noisy, not very caring staff (we asked them to clean the room when we went out - after 5hrs came back to find the room still unclean but minibar checked lol. Very bad English spoken at front desk. Swimming pool is small, lots of noisy drunk Brazilians eating & drinking by the pool. Fitness room is tiny, most of the equipments are broken. Restaurant is expensive. Can t believe this hotel carries Mercure name...

A good Hotel. Comfortable rooms and great service. One point that could improve is the lighting of the rooms because the ones considered a bit dark. It is in a good location, easy access to other neighborhoods.

Like all Mercure hotels, very comfortable with excellent service. Great view of the Corcovado with a lot of small sidewalk bars very close by. Will definitely stay there again

Hotel with a good location, close to metro and bus. Lots of bars close by. Hotel, nothing more. Well worth the easy access to everywhere, as there are very close transportation.

Great service from the hotel staff, breakfast with several options, well located and with a large room - if you are lucky, you can stay in one overlooking the Christ the Redeemer.
