Beautiful cars and the graffiti that was painted on was very cool.

Beautiful cars and the graffiti that was painted on was very cool.
It is what it is..about 10 old Cadillacs buried halfway in the ground. Easy to find right off the Highway. Unfortunately like many places in Amarillo there is no one responsible for cleaning the area. There will be trash, old paint cans, beer bottles, broken glass, and even the occasional condom and syringe. So be careful if you have young children with you.
Love it! Drove my 70 superbee from east coast to west coast beautiful places to see!
Somehow an even cooler experience than the last time I was here. Someone brought a tub and people filled it with spray paint cans so you can tag wherever you want!
Quintessential stop on Rt 66. Bring your own spray paint for best results, but there are partial cans discarded for public use.
Passed by this place, I didn't get a chance to check it out but I was able to see the Cadillac's in the ground which was pretty interesting.. Hopefully when I pass by again I'll have a chance to stop there and look at them up close..
Very interesting place, colorful unique experience.
It was everything I thought it would be.. so peaceful..
Wasn't what I expected. Thought it would be a bunch of cars in the ground but really, it's just a few. They are covered in so much spray paint, they hardly resemble Cadillacs unless you know the tell tales. Also, stand upstream of all the spray paint
Don't wear white cloth shoes. Great spot for pics tho, I used my tripod and a can of community paint as a prop. Follow my travels on Instagram @traveling.jeepher
If you like Cadillacs or modern art or odd ball Americana, this is a must see!
Interesting tourist spot if you are taking the route 66 trip.
Nice for the family. Folk's brought spray paint to add their special touch.
Pics come up great and original. At the location feeling is not that uplifting.
Cool spot
Off the beaten path . Can be,seen from hiway but you have to past it to take exit and come back around. A must see attraction
One of my bucket list places! If you're passing through, you MUST STOP!
wouldve given more stars if i couldve gotten out and seen them up close
Not sure why this is here but it's pretty cool. Spray paint everywhere, graffiti encouraged.
It's certainly different to see, but in my head I was picturing it in its heyday. Now they are just a bunch of trashed cars with layers and layers of spray paint out in a field with lots and lots of cans of spray paint laying around. People were very excited to go and had their cans of paint with them. It's free and unusual and just off the interstate.
Hmm ... Well, it's more than enough for 10 minutes just because the painted Cadillac is stuck.
Fun to see, and draws a crowd to this place pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Considering how famous it is, when you get there you might be a bit disappointed. Still fun though.
Fun little roadside oddity stop to stretch your legs and take a photo.
You can bring spray paint and contribute to the art
If you like.
Hey, if you re traveling Route 66 you may as well stop to see it.
I ve live here over 30 years, and this place still brings young lives with new idea s to Amarillo
Interesting spot with a few Cadillac stuck face-first into the ground that people come in spray paint. If you don't like the smell of spray paint avoid!
A real fun attraction. Are you a scribbler or an artiste? It doesn t matter. Be sure to bring your camera. Your paint won t dry before it becomes the next person s canvas!!
Crazy crazy. Bring a can & add your expertise. Just fun for all ages
Stopped by it is neat. Bring spray paint. It's very hot this time of year.
Super fun stop! Make sure to bring your own cans of spray paint
Nice quick stop off the I-40 for a photo op and piece of Americana
Very interesting stop, if you are traveling through Amarello you should stop and check it out.
Cars stuck in the ground. Yup been there done that.
Fun little place to stop while on your way through Amarillo. Bring your own spray paint.
Quick stop to stretch the legs kids loved spray painting and looking at cars.Worth the time to check out!
I give it 5 stars for the art and concept, but a thumbs down for the people that leave all the cans everywhere. Come on people, there's two big dumpsters lining the road!
Lots of cans on ground. There re people selling cans at the entrance too. Came during pandemic but had quite some people stopping there for pictures.
Really unusual place to visit. It is very windy and I mean very windy, and difficult to spray paint the cadillacs. Everyone shares their paint tins, don't forget to put them in the skips afterwards. Be careful as the cadillacs can have wet paint on. When taking photos people sit on them and can get stains from the paint. We loved it and met lots of people travelling on the route 66
Thank you to the kind visitor who left behind a hardly used spray paint can. I was able to add my touch to this iconic monument. Years I've wanted to go and I guess I was a bit underwhelmed. But tick one off the bucket list!
Wow. Great experience. Buy your spray paint from second amendment cowboy about a mile down the road
Fun little roadside stop. Lots of cans of spray paint around. Some still have paint in them. It was fun to paint on the cars. Definitely stop if you drive by.
If you get out to Amarillo you need to checkout the Cadillac Ranch there are 10 old Cadillac's sticking out of the ground that you can spray paint and graffiti on it's cool the paint on them is probably from 6inches to a foot thick from being sprayed for so many years!
It's Cadillac ranch! Great roadside attraction. Must see!
A nice time painting Cadillac, in the place they have cans of paint to have fun for a while, in addition to observing cars that despite being buried from the middle down can still be seen its shape ..
Such a quirky location. A must-see if you are traveling down I-40 (it's RIGHT off the eastbound side). Bring some spray-paint if you want to leave a mark!
I guess this is a must stop on Route66. I didn't quite get the big deal with it.
People have started cutting paint off the cars and destroyingredients the effect
Fun, convenient and unique stop. Many people were out tagging the cars which I wasn't expecting and made it a little less enjoyable and harder to take pictures.
Very neat to go see the cars in the field totally worth a stop especially if you're passing threw.
Really neat place. It wasn't as big of a place as I thought it would be but still super cool.
This is cool.. is right off the hwy so really accessible. There was a truck/stand there selling cans of spray paint. This is out in a field and just a short walk from the car- also free!
Junk buried in dirt and spray painted beyond understanding. Go eat at Big Texan Ranch.
Very cool. There are cans of spray paint laying around so you can spray paint the cars. Great photography spot.
Colder, windier, and muddier as expected. Probably just a bad day to visit
Iconic and a must see. Bring you favorite color of spray paint and enjoy.
OMG! Awesome!. Not only is a cool art structure but you can paint on the cars. Several people shared their spray cans with us and we did the same. A must see.
Bring a can of spray paint to leave your mark. Very popular travel spot. My brother died of cancer last . He wanted to stop on our way to Nv I told him I would stop and leave his mark. Enjoyed our visit here.
Cool piece of history if you're in Texas on route 66. Be sure to bring some spray paint and leave your mark.
Interesting how many coats of paint are on each car.
must stop and see this crazy place - don't forget to take some spray paint with you
This is not an attraction, is a distraction. So dissapointing! I took a detour from my trip to Colorado just to see a sad reality, I had seen beautiful pictures and thought it was going to be a nice place to check out, it was overcrowded, it would be really nice if people would not litter! used spray cans were all over! Yuck! Please add some trash cans or signs to clean after yourself!
It was pretty cool, but I think it's sad how ppl leave their trash and spray cans out there...
It is no longer about the Cadillac's, but tagging them and leaving the trash all over the ground. People have taken parts off the cars. To look at the old post cards and the original intent of the display is much more special. I walked away sad.
A fun stop if you're into Route 66 history. If not, it's a dusty junkyard that smells like spray paint.
I really loved this place not just because the upside down cadilacs and the million layers of spray paint, nope not at all! I love it because of the creativity that you get to see others make right in front of your eyes! Add me on snap @j_eagan2020
There is so much litter here. If I had known I would have brought something to help pick some of it up. Being able to stop on a long road trip to stretch and walk, and play a bit was nice. The trash was disheartening. Bring a bag to help clean up.
Its a shame all the cars are covered in spray paint. i.e. graffiti. Can't even tell what car it is.
Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed getting to add her touch
Really cool and fun to "tag" the cars...watch out for the wild cows!
Great place to visit. Fun to see the Cadillac s in the ground.
Great historical location. A must for any car lover, artist, or any tourist. Taking the family next time when not on business
